Abstract

This study examines the readiness of pre-service language teachers from five Asian countries (China, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and India) to implement deep learning strategies. A total of 6,113 participants completed a Likert-scale readiness questionnaire administered via Google Forms, and their responses were analyzed using the Rasch model, focusing on their preparedness in pedagogical, technological, and affective dimensions. The results revealed significant regional differences, with teachers from China demonstrating the highest levels of readiness, particularly in pedagogical and technological aspects, due to stronger institutional support. In contrast, teachers from India and Indonesia showed lower readiness, particularly in technological integration and institutional support. Gender differences were also observed, with female teachers showing higher readiness in pedagogical and affective areas. Age played a role, with teachers aged 26–35 years showing higher levels of readiness compared to younger participants. The findings highlight the need for teacher education programs to tailor their approaches to address regional, gender, and age-related differences, ensuring that all pre-service teachers are prepared to implement deep learning strategies effectively in diverse contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the doctrinal and practical dilemma created by Supreme Court Circular Letter (SEMA) No. 3 of 2018, which directs courts to declare inadmissible claims for marital joint property when the disputed asset remains encumbered as debt collateral. While intended to protect creditors and preserve legal order, a rigid inadmissibility doctrine may delay or effectively deny spouses’ entitlement to jointly acquired assets and weaken access to substantive justice in Religious Court practice. Using normative legal research that combines philosophical, statutory, case-based, comparative, and historical approaches, this study analyzes primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials through prescriptive reasoning, legal hermeneutics, and a maqāṣid al-sharīʿah–informed ijtihād framework. The findings show that the ratio legis of SEMA No. 3/2018 rests on preventing overlapping legal interests, upholding nemo plus iuris, avoiding adjudication over imperfect ownership (al-milk al-tāmm), and safeguarding creditors’ preferential rights. However, these aims can be preserved without foreclosing spousal claims. Accordingly, this study proposes a refined legal formulation: courts may grant claims over encumbered marital joint property while deferring distribution and execution until the secured debt is fully satisfied. This reformulation strengthens legal certainty and equitable protection by clarifying procedural requirements and substantive criteria, and it also highlights the pedagogical value of maqāṣid as an integrative paradigm for Islamic legal education that cultivates contextual reasoning, normative responsibility, and case-based analytical competence among future jurists.

Abstract

This study explores the role of transformational leadership in enhancing educational quality. As ongoing educational reforms call for improved learning outcomes, school leadership becomes a critical driver of meaningful change. The research examines how the four dimensions of transformational leadership idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration contribute to teacher motivation, commitment, and professional growth. Using a systematic literature review that integrates national and international studies, the findings indicate that transformational leadership positively shapes teacher engagement and overall school climate. Idealized influence and inspirational motivation are particularly effective in fostering a supportive environment, whereas intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration show stronger effects when reinforced by adequate organizational structures and resources. The study concludes that effective school leadership requires not only the practice of transformational behaviors but also the cultivation of an organizational culture that promotes innovation and continuous professional development, highlighting the importance of proper training and resources for school leaders.
