Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk dasar berpikir logis dan sistematis bagi siswa. Salah satu aspek dasar yang perlu dikuasai oleh siswa kelas rendah adalah pengenalan bilangan. Namun, tidak sedikit siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep bilangan secara abstrak. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi perhatian di SD Kartika II-2 Palembang, khususnya pada siswa kelas 2. Dalam upaya mengatasi tantangan ini, pendekatan pembelajaran dengan media kartu angka diperkenalkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan kartu angka dapat membantu siswa mengenal bilangan secara lebih efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melibatkan 22 siswa kelas 2 dengan dua kali pertemuan pembelajaran. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, dokumentasi aktivitas siswa, dan wawancara guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kartu angka mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bilangan siswa secara signifikan. Siswa menjadi lebih antusias, aktif, dan mampu mengenali serta membedakan bilangan satuan hingga puluhan dengan lebih tepat. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penggunaan media konkret dalam pembelajaran matematika tingkat dasar. Guru disarankan untuk terus mengeksplorasi media sederhana yang mampu menjembatani pemahaman abstrak siswa ke dalam bentuk nyata yang mudah dipahami.

Abstract

The problem of inorganic waste management and limited green space in rural areas are important backgrounds in this study. This study aims to analyze the optimization of the use of inorganic waste as a planting medium in efforts to green the yards of houses among women village officials. The research method used is a qualitative case study design on women village officials who have implemented the use of inorganic waste as a planting medium in the greening program. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with women village officials involved in the greening program, observations of the practice of using inorganic waste as a planting medium, and documentation of visual changes in the yards of houses. Data analysis techniques used descriptive qualitative analysis with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to identify patterns and findings from the program implementation. The results of the study indicate that various types of inorganic waste such as used gallons can be optimized into effective planting media. Interviews revealed that the driving factors for the success of this program include community environmental awareness, the presence of assistance from the village government, and the economic value of reducing the purchase of conventional pots. This study concludes that optimizing the use of inorganic waste as a planting medium is a sustainable approach to greening the yards of houses while addressing waste problems in rural areas.

Abstract

Civic Education in the 21st century requires innovative teaching materials that develop higher order thinking skills while integrating Pancasila values. The problem is the lack of hierarchically designed civic education materials based on LOTS, MOTS, and HOTS to enhance elementary students' critical thinking. This research aims to develop systematic procedures for preparing civic education materials oriented toward LOTS-MOTS-HOTS that integrate Pancasila values to improve elementary students' critical thinking abilities. The research method uses a qualitative approach with systematic literature review from Scopus, ERIC, Google Scholar, and Garuda databases for 2015-2025. Results show civic education materials need hierarchical design from LOTS for basic understanding, MOTS for concept application, to HOTS for analysis and evaluation. Pancasila values integration at each cognitive level effectively builds character while sharpening critical thinking. Development procedures include needs analysis, tiered objective formulation, contextual material preparation, and continuous evaluation. It is concluded that innovative civic education materials oriented toward LOTS-MOTS-HOTS integrated with Pancasila values are effective strategies for improving students' critical thinking. Teachers are recommended to apply this systematic procedure in designing contextual and meaningful civic education materials.
