Abstract

The legal profession in Indonesia plays a crucial role in maintaining justice and upholding the law. Advocates are required to uphold integrity, honesty, and responsibility through adherence to a professional code of ethics. This study aims to analyze the role of the advocate code of ethics in maintaining professional integrity and ensuring legal justice. The research method used is a normative juridical approach, with a literature analysis of various regulations, codes of ethics, and previous research findings. The results indicate that the code of ethics serves as a guideline for behavior, a supervisory instrument, and a means of maintaining public trust in the legal profession. The discussion confirms the positive impact of implementing the code of ethics on public trust, although its implementation still faces obstacles such as a weak Honorary Council, limited enforcement, and fragmentation of advocate organizations. Strengthening efforts are carried out through ethics-based legal education, ongoing development, institutional reform, and public involvement.

Abstract

The development program for Karamatwangi Village, Garut Regency, was implemented to address community needs in the areas of economy, health, infrastructure, and tourism. The activities were designed using a work breakdown structure (WBS) approach, which divides the program into measurable stages ranging from planning and implementation to evaluation. The economic sector focused on issuing Business Identification Numbers (NIB), promoting the use of QRIS, and digitalizing micro-enterprises; the health sector included education on healthy homes; the infrastructure sector involved the installation of public street lighting and supporting facilities; while the tourism sector was enhanced through the management of the Tepas Papandayan agro-tourism area with a digital ticketing system. The results show an increase in the community’s capacity to manage businesses, heightened awareness of environmental health, and strengthened village tourism appeal. The application of WBS proved effective in ensuring that activities were carried out systematically, easily monitored, and capable of generating recommendations for the sustainability of community empowerment.

Abstract

The settlement of industrial relations disputes in labor law after the enactment of Law No. 2 of 2004 concerning the Settlement of Industrial Relations Disputes is known as a voluntary settlement model through bipartite, conciliation, mediation, and arbitration; and a mandatory settlement model, namely through the Industrial Relations Court. The existence of the Industrial Relations Court raises problems, both the knowledge of workers/laborers about formal law and material labor law, long processes, and inadequate legal substance. Problems regarding the settlement of industrial relations disputes can consist of many factors, namely disputes regarding rights, disputes of interest, disputes of rights, disputes over termination of employment and disputes between trade unions/labor unions in one company, in addition to that also regarding the competence of the Industrial Relations Court so that it cannot effectively resolve labor disputes. This research uses a normative juridical research approach. Considering that this research is normative legal research, the approach used is a normative juridical approach based on the study of positive law, namely Law No. 2 of 2004 and to examine the principles of justice. The research results identified several weaknesses, both in terms of legal structure and substance in the renewal of Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement in the Industrial Relations Court. Efforts to overcome this by reforming the settlement process in the Industrial Relations Court, namely by establishing a PHI in each District Court, Regency/City. The revision of Law No. 2 of 2004 is considered unable to accommodate and does not reflect the principles of simplicity, speed and low cost in the trial process in the Industrial Relations Court.

Abstract

Biodiversity in Indonesia includes more than 30,000 species of plantsand mushrooms, but public knowledge about these plants is still limited. The research aims to develop a mobile application called GreenEye that uses machine learning to detect and classify plants based on images. The model used is based on the MobileNet V2 architecture, a type of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) designed for high-efficiency image classification tasks. Research data collected from PlantNet and Google Images, consisting of 2800 images covering seven plant species: Ananas comosus, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Carica papaya, Cocos nucifera, Musa spp, Nephelium lappaceum, and Salacca zalacca. Each species is categorized into four plant parts: fruit, flower, leaf, and habit. (habitus). This data is then processed through various preprocessing stages such as data cleaning, format conversion, resizing, cropping, and image augmentation. The results showed that the MobileNet V2 model was able to classify parts of plants with high accuracy, especially on fruits and leaves with accurations above 90%. However, the accuration was slightly lower for flowers and habits, which is about 70%. Classification errors occurred mainly in species with high visual similarities. To improve the performance of the model, it is recommended that further research increase the quantity and diversity of datasets.
