Abstract

This study aims to develop a self-assessment instrument in the affective domain of students' social attitudes, which was modified by the case of the instrument item. The measurement results can be used as a recommendation for the self-assessment of students' social attitudes at school. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The instrument was content validated by five experts using Aiken, and construct validation using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), while the reliability estimation used Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The results showed that there were seven instrument factors to assess the affective domain of students' social attitudes, namely honest, disciplined, polite, caring, responsible, responsive, and proactive. Content validity using the Aiken index shows 28 valid items. The construct validity of the instrument was carried out using EFA with a KMO value of 0.618, which means it has met the requirements. The fit model based on the CFA results shows the Chi-square value <2df = 258.02<2x341, p-value = 0.416>0.05, RMSEA = 0.0197<0.08, CFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.86, AGFI = 0.88.  In item estimation, the factor loading value is > 0.3, which means the items in the instrument are valid. The estimated reliability of the instrument shows the Cronbach Alpha coefficient value of 0.895, which means that all developed instruments are reliable. Valid and reliable instruments are very important to get good information about the affective assessment of students' social attitudes.

Abstract

The development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving requires innovative learning approaches. STEM education, integrated with cooperative learning, is considered an effective strategy to enhance student engagement and understanding in science education. This study aims to analyze student responses to the implementation of STEM-based cooperative learning in science education. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. A total of 31 junior high school students participated by completing a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of ten statements. The results showed that students responded very positively, with an average score of 81.21%. The findings indicate that this learning approach enhances students' confidence in asking questions and expressing opinions, minimizes boredom, facilitates problem-solving, and improves understanding of the material. It is concluded that STEM-based cooperative learning is an effective and engaging strategy for science education. Further research is recommended to explore its long-term impact on academic achievement and to apply the approach across different subjects and educational levels.

Abstract

Background: This community service activity was conducted at Islamic Boarding School An-Nur 2 Al-Murtadlo and involved IPAS teachers at the junior and senior secondary levels. Literacy, especially scientific literacy, has not been optimally integrated into IPAS learning. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence through innovative and contextual learning strategies aligned with the characteristics of the pesantren environment is essential to foster a sustainable literacy culture.Aims: The innovative learning strategies training aimed to improve students’ literacy, which remains low, particularly in the pesantren context. Methods: This study employed a quantitative survey method. The training was conducted using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model, which actively involved teachers in designing innovative literacy-based learning. Data were collected through a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using mean scores, percentages, and predetermined effectiveness criteria. Results: The results of the study indicate that the training was categorized as very effective across all measured indicators. The mean scores for each indicator ranged from 3.25 to 3.38 out of a maximum score of 4.00, corresponding to percentage values between 81.3% and 84.5%. The overall mean score was 3.32 (83.0%).Conclusion: The training effectively enhanced teachers’ pedagogical competence and supported literacy development in the pesantren context through PjBL and digital literacy integration. It also contributed to the development of a sustainable literacy culture in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 era demand that university graduates possess mature career readiness to combat the rising unemployment rate among graduates in Indonesia. This study analyzes the influence of Career Self-Efficacy (CSE) and Organizational Experience on the Career Readiness of Islamic Education Management students. Using an explanatory quantitative design, the research surveyed 146 students at UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri. The findings reveal that both CSE and organizational experience, both individually and simultaneously, significantly enhance career readiness. The study uniquely highlights how organizational involvement serves as a real-world laboratory that translates theoretical managerial concepts into practical readiness. Furthermore, the results indicate that these two factors account for 57.2% of the variance in student preparedness. This study contributes empirical evidence to career development literature specifically within the context of Islamic higher education management programs, offering a specialized perspective on how religious-based academic environments shape professional competence. Ultimately, strong self-belief and active organizational participation are essential for strengthening managerial skills and ensuring graduates are competitive in the modern workforce.
