Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are often considered significant in developing countries like Indonesia. However, there are several problems regarding the quality of human resources and technical and non-technical skills, weaknesses in seizing opportunities, and lack of innovation. For this reason, SMEs need to be continuously developed both in quantity and quality, especially in improving their performance to contribute to economic development. Therefore, this study examines the factors directly or indirectly related to improving its performance. This study empirically predicts that strategic agility can influence entrepreneurial innovation and organizational learning. Furthermore, this study proposes a relationship between strategic agility, entrepreneurial innovation, and organizational learning on performance in SMEs. This research was conducted by taking samples from SMEs in the food and beverage, fashion, service, and other sectors. Sampling was conducted on 110 owners or managers of UKM in the Bandung, Garut, and Sumedang areas. Data analysis in this study used SEM-PLS. The results show that strategic agility positively relates to entrepreneurial innovation and organizational learning. Then, these findings show that organizational learning has the most significant influence on performance compared to strategic agility and entrepreneurial innovation. This study implies that SMEs can respond quickly to external changes, find creative solutions, and have agile capabilities in work processes. Recommendations for further research include environmental uncertainty moderating variables linking strategic agility and performance.

Abstract

The startup sector's emphasis on the educational technology industry in Indonesia expanded, particularly during the pandemic. However, many educational technology players went bankrupt because they could not make their users reuse their products and services (continuance intention). This study aimed to analyze the influence of e-experience on continuance intention in the use of educational technology platforms, with e-trust and e-satisfaction as mediating variables. A quantitative method with a PLS-SEM approach was used to test the relationships between variables. Data were gathered from 300 respondents using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The respondents in this study were individuals utilizing educational technology, including students, teachers, and employees seeking skill enhancement. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS. The research results showed that e-experience had a direct influence on continuance intention, but its impact was relatively small. E-trust and e-satisfaction proved to be significant mediators in strengthening this relationship. E-Satisfaction had a stronger mediating influence compared to e-trust, affirming that user satisfaction was a key factor in driving the sustainability of educational technology usage. Moreover, the indirect effects through mediators were greater than the direct effects, indicating that user experience should be developed into trust and satisfaction to enhance user retention.

Abstract

Amidst the rapid urbanization of Jakarta, the adoption of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) like composting offers a sustainable pathway for waste management and environmental rejuvenation. This research endeavors to discern the critical factors impacting the willingness of Jakarta's metropolitan populace to participate in composting activities. The study identified key determinants through a comprehensive analysis, including the availability of composting facilities, the expertise of trained cadres, the adoption of advanced composting technologies, and routine field monitoring. Furthermore, demographic nuances, specifically marital status, and age, surfaced as influential parameters. Singles and the younger age bracket (20-29 years) exhibited distinct attitudes towards composting, hinting at underlying generational and lifestyle-based disparities. The findings provide a foundation for tailoring policies and interventions that cater to Jakarta's unique urban fabric, promoting a more inclusive and influential composting culture.
