Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the implementation of an innovative strategic planning model based on the 7 Poé Atikan program to strengthen character education at SDN Taringgullandeuh, Purwakarta. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the strategic planning process has been partially applied through thematic character education integrated into daily school routines. However, formal documentation such as strategic plans and performance indicators remains limited. The organization of the program is relatively effective, with role distribution aligned to teacher competencies, though it lacks formal standard operating procedures. The implementation is consistent and culturally embedded, although constrained by resources and varying understanding of character themes among teachers. Evaluation remains informal and lacks standardized instruments, while follow-up actions rely on verbal coordination and are yet to be institutionalized. The study concludes that while the 7 Poé Atikan-based planning model is culturally relevant and effective in shaping student character, it requires reinforcement in documentation, evaluation systems, and strategic sustainability mechanisms. Abstract

This research aims to describe the adaptive leadership management of the principal in managing educational policy changes at SDN Taringgullandeuh. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research involved the principal, teachers, and staff as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and then analyzed interactively. The findings show that the principal has applied adaptive leadership principles in planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising educational policy changes, such as the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and learning digitalization. The principal demonstrated the ability to read the situation, collaborate with stakeholders, and maintain core school values while innovating. However, the implementation still faces obstacles, including limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among teachers, and a lack of systematic documentation and evaluation. Adaptive leadership at SDN Taringgullandeuh has proven relevant in creating a collaborative work climate and maintaining learning quality amid challenges, but it requires systemic support to be more optimal. Abstract

This study aims to describe the optimization of the use of school libraries in improving the literacy skills of elementary school students through the implementation of management functions. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and library managers at SDN 1 Citamiang. The results of the study show that the optimization of the use of school libraries is carried out through the stages of planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling which refer to Henry Fayol's management theory. Planning is carried out by analyzing students' literacy needs and designing literacy programs in a structured manner, such as 15-minute reading, reading corners, and regular visits to the library. Organizing is carried out through a clear division of duties and responsibilities between school principals, teachers, and library managers. Briefings are given on an ongoing basis to build reading habits and improve students' reading comprehension. The coordination established between school elements allows literacy programs to run more regularly and integrated with classroom learning. Control is carried out through periodic monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of programs and the use of library facilities. Overall, optimizing the use of school libraries has a positive impact on improving the literacy skills of elementary school students, especially in fostering interest in reading, reading comprehension, and independent learning habits.
