Abstract

This profession operates in the insurance sector which has risk management expertise and is needed at this time. The method used is outreach to teachers and high school students in Palangka Raya. The socialization of the actuary profession aims to increase knowledge of the actuarial profession and introduce actuaries as a field of study in mathematics study programs so that it becomes an inspiration for choosing a study program when continuing to college. Through this service activity, there is an increase in understanding of the actuarial profession and job opportunities for an actuary by lecturers from the Mathematics Study Program with the team from the Center for Financial Professional Development, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Pelatihan mengenai statistik dengan menggunakan software R untuk siswa SMA Negeri 1 Manuhing di Kabupaten Gunung Mas Kalimantan Tengah bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan dalam statistik yang terintegrasi dengan materi Teknologi Informasi sehingga kemampuan dasar pemrograman dan mengolah data dapat dimiliki. Tahapan pelatihan yaitu pemberian pre test, penyampaian materi, praktek yang dilakukan siswa didampingi tutor, dan pemberian post test. Melalui statistik deskriptif, diperoleh rata-rata nilai post test mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan rata-rata nilai pre test. Kemudian data nilai diolah lebih lanjut dengan uji rata-rata dua populasi berpasangan menggunakan Uji T dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hipotesis nolnya (H0) adalah nilai pre test sama dengan nilai post test dan hipotesis alternatifnya (H1) adalah nilai pre test lebih kecil daripada nilai post test. Melalui Uji T diperoleh nilai mutlak   sebesar 4,202 lebih besar dari yaitu 2,048 dan diperkuat oleh p value sebesar 0,02 yang lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi α sehingga diputuskan bahwa tolak H0. Kesimpulan bahwa pelatihan Software R untuk statistika siswa di SMAN 1 Manuhing dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta.

Abstract

Sungai Kahayan, sebagai salah satu sungai utama di Kalimantan Tengah, memiliki peran krusial dalam kehidupan masyarakat setempat. Namun, aktivitas manusia di sekitar sungai ini, seperti pembuangan limbah rumah tangga dan industri, mengakibatkan potensi pencemaran yang signifikan. Penelitian ini menggali variasi spasial dan temporal dari 11 parameter kualitas air Sungai Kahayan selama periode 2021–2023. Hasil analisis menggunakan teknik statistika multivariat,  Analisis Klaster Hierarki (HCA) dan Analisis Komponen Utama (PCA), mengidentifikasi hubungan kompleks antar parameter. Hasil PCA menunjukkan bahwa parameter kualitas air dapat direduksi menjadi dua komponen utama (PC1 dan PC2), menjelaskan sekitar 84,24% variabilitas data. PC1 merepresentasikan tingkat polusi organik dan anorganik, sementara PC2 mencerminkan aspek-aspek kimia dan keseimbangan kimia dalam air. Analisis spasial menggunakan HCA mengelompokkan lokasi pengambilan sampel ke dalam dua klaster utama, menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam kualitas air. Analisis temporal menggunakan MANOVA mengungkapkan perbedaan yang signifikan setiap tahun, terutama pada parameter pH, DO, BOD, NH3-N, TDS, TSS, dan Fe. Kemampuan self-purification Sungai Kahayan dievaluasi melalui analisis tren dengan melibatkan parameter DO, BOD, dan COD. Meskipun terjadi pemurnian diri, sungai belum mencapai zona air bersih pada titik terakhir pengambilan sampel. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang variasi spasial dan temporal kualitas air Sungai Kahayan, serta implikasinya terhadap proses self-purification. Hasilnya dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengelolaan sumber daya air yang berkelanjutan dan peningkatan pemahaman terhadap kondisi ekosistem sungai.

Abstract

Limited access to electricity remains a major challenge for fisheries enterprises located in remote areas, including Ternak Ikan Toman Rahayu, which operates floating cages along the Pager River in Palangka Raya. This condition reduces operational efficiency and productivity due to the absence of a reliable power supply. Therefore, this community service program aimed to implement an off-grid Solar Power System (PLTS) as a sustainable and independent energy solution. The implementation method consisted of field observation and needs assessment, installation of the off-grid PLTS, training on system operation and maintenance, and evaluation through in-depth interviews. The results indicate that the implemented PLTS successfully provides a stable electricity supply for lighting and work equipment, while also enhancing the partner’s knowledge and independence in managing renewable energy systems. The off-grid PLTS implementation effectively supports business sustainability and promotes the utilization of renewable energy within the community.

Abstract

Fluctuations in the price of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) of palm oil remain a problem in the pricing process because they are influenced by several dynamically changing economic factors. This study aims to apply the Mamdani Fuzzy Logic method to predict FFB prices by considering data uncertainty and relationships between variables that are not always linear. The variables used include the K Index, Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price, CPO ratio (R-CPO), palm kernel price (IS), and palm kernel ratio (R-IS). All variables are processed in a rule-based fuzzy inference system using MATLAB, then validated through a comparison between manual calculations and simulation results. The scientific contribution of this study lies in the application of a FFB price prediction system that integrates several key economic indicators in one Mamdani Fuzzy model, as well as the use of double validation to ensure the consistency of the calculation process. The test results show a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value of 18.7%, which is included in the good category and indicates that the model is able to follow the actual data pattern with an acceptable error rate. The comparison of the manual calculation result of 2499.13 and the MATLAB result of 2570 shows a relatively small difference, thus supporting the consistency of the method used. With its rule-based and easily traceable characteristics, the Fuzzy Mamdani method can be the basis for an interpretive and applicable decision support system to help predict FFB prices in the palm oil plantation sector.
