Abstract

Training on making animated videos using the Animaker application. This activity is to provide insight into making learning media videos for MI Miftakhul Ulum Sidowungu Menganti Gresik teachers with a total of 20 teachers participating. This training aims to enable teachers to develop teaching materials using a variety of media, facilitating the teaching and learning process so that students easily receive material from the teacher. Direct practical training in one of these classrooms produces animated video works using the Animaker application. The results from respondents participating in the animation video making training activity showed that on average they got a score of 90%, strongly agree and from the activity criteria of the training participants making animation videos using the Animaker application, they got a score of 90.80%. From the results of respondents and the results of participant activities, this training is very useful in increasing insight and improving teachers' abilities in using the Animaker application. By creating animated video media, students can be enthusiastic about participating in learning and studying

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the professional competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers in Menganti District through the development of contextual thematic modules based on local wisdom. The activity was initiated from a needs assessment indicating that most teachers still relied on nationally published modules without adapting them to the social and cultural context of their students. The implementation adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), participatory observations, and document analysis of the developed modules, then analyzed using qualitative and descriptive quantitative methods.The results revealed a significant improvement in teachers’ pedagogical competence and creativity, with 90% of participants actively engaging in discussions, contributing local ideas, and demonstrating a better understanding of contextual module structures. The quality of the developed modules achieved an average score of 85.6% (categorized as very good), compared to only 68.3% (fair) for the publisher’s modules. Furthermore, the activity led to the establishment of the MI Menganti Module Developer Community (KPM-MI) as a collaborative platform for continuous development. This PKM program contributes to transforming learning practices into more contextual, reflective, and teacher-empowering approaches. Collaboration among lecturers, madrasahs, and educational communities emerged as a key factor in fostering innovative learning aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di madrasah ibtidaiyah menuntut guru untuk mampu menghadirkan proses belajar yang aktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Namun, pada praktiknya masih banyak guru yang menggunakan media pembelajaran konvensional dan belum mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal secara optimal. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru madrasah ibtidaiyah dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis kearifan lokal melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di MIN 1 Gresik dengan subjek guru madrasah ibtidaiyah sebagai mitra. Metode PAR dilakukan melalui tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, refleksi, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan, serta keaktifan guru dalam merancang media pembelajaran interaktif yang kontekstual. Media yang dikembangkan dinilai layak digunakan, sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, serta mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar peserta didik. Implementasi media di kelas menunjukkan hasil yang positif dan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis kearifan lokal terbukti penting sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan penguatan identitas budaya di madrasah ibtidaiyah
