Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of emotional intelligence on the learning achievements of students in MAN 3 Tasikmalaya. The method used in this study is a descriptive method through a quantitative approach, with a population of all MAN 3 Tasikmalaya students and sampling using the area (cluster) sampling technique. Then the data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical types with Spearman Rank correlation. From this study, information was obtained that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence on student learning achievement in MAN 3 Tasikmalaya with low classification based on the calculation of the rank Spearman correlation that obtains rs = 0.40 is at the correlation interval0.21-0.40. The influence of emotional intelligence on students' learning achievement at MAN 3 Tasikmalaya has contribution of 16%, the remaining 84% is influenced by other factors namely physiological factors, psychological factors, and environmental influences.

Abstract

The use of learning media in English subjects for fourth grade elementary school students is still limited. Therefore, it is necessary to develop English learning media based on Playmatte ladders snake. This study aims to develop English learning media based on Playmatte ladders snake on the material How Do You Go to School? for fourth grade elementary school students, as well as to determine its validity and practicality. The validity assessment was conducted by material experts, media experts, and language experts, while the practicality assessment was obtained through students’ response questionnaires. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 6 Palembang. Based on the validation results from all validators, the average score obtained was 87%, which falls into the very valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality test results based on students’ response questionnaires showed an average score of 95% in the one-to-one trial, 94% in the small group trial, and 95% in the large group trial, all categorized as very practical. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the English learning media based on Playmatte ladders snake on the material How Do You Go to School? for fourth grade elementary school students has a very high level of validity and practicality, making it suitable for use in supporting the achievement of learning objectives at school.

Abstract

Physical Education, Sports, and Health is a subject that plays an important role in developing students' physical abilities, motor skills, and character. Female PJOK teachers have a strategic role in creating an effective learning process, despite being faced with various challenges in classroom management and student learning motivation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the role of female PJOK teachers in the PJOK learning process in State Junior High Schools throughout Trenggalek Regency. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey design. The research sample totaled 272 students who were selected using proportional sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires that met the validity criteria and had high reliability (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.896), then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the effectiveness of the role of female PJOK teachers was in the effective category, with an average score of 80.18. Most respondents gave an assessment in the category of strongly agree and agree with all indicators, including the preparation of student-centered learning, interesting and relevant learning, increased learning motivation, application of learning approaches, character building, and learning evaluation. These findings show that female PJOK teachers are able to carry out learning effectively and contribute to the creation of an active, meaningful, and character-oriented learning process for students.
