Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning culture of Generation Z in Arabic and English language education in the era of digital disruption. This qualitative literature study employs a descriptive-analytical approach by examining relevant books and scientific publications from the last decade to identify the characteristics, learning behaviours, and technological influences shaping this generation. The research objects are studies discussing Generation Z and their learning culture in language education, while data were collected through documentation techniques and analysed using content analysis. The findings show that Generation Z demonstrates a fast, visual, interactive, and technology-based learning orientation, supported by digital platforms, multimedia resources, and gamified learning environments. Their learning culture reflects autonomy, collaboration, and global connectivity, yet it is also challenged by digital distraction, low critical digital literacy, and unequal digital resource availability—particularly in Arabic language learning. English learning benefits from abundant digital materials, while Arabic learning remains limited in academic digital content. The study concludes that effective language education for Generation Z requires blended learning, gamification, critical digital literacy reinforcement, and the active role of lecturers as facilitators who guide students to use technology productively. These results imply the need for curriculum redesign, pedagogical innovation, and improved digital infrastructure to support adaptive and future-oriented language learning.

Abstract

Differences in early childhood ability to recognize basic colors at TK Negeri 01 Barong Tongkok indicate the need for a structured evaluation system to ensure objective assessment. The classification of these abilities is carried out by applying the C4.5 algorithm within a quantitative experimental framework. Data are collected through observations and color recognition tests involving 35 children as respondents, then processed using predefined attributes to construct a classification model. The analysis results group children’s abilities into three categories: Sangat Mengenal (High), Mengenal (Moderate), and Cukup Mengenal (Low). The experimental results indicate that the C4.5 algorithm is highly effective and stable, achieving an average classification accuracy of 85.71% through 5-Fold Cross-Validation. Furthermore, the resulting decision tree provides an intuitive and transparent structure that assists educators in interpreting evaluation outcomes and understanding the dominant variables that determine student learning success more clearly than black-box models. The primary contribution of this study lies in the provision of a data-driven evaluation model that generates empirically measurable decision rules (if-then rules), while simultaneously serving as a methodological bridge to create differentiated learning strategies at the early childhood education (PAUD) level. Consequently, the implementation of the C4.5 algorithm represents a strategic, efficient, and scientifically accountable alternative for enhancing pedagogical effectiveness and cognitive monitoring in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between perceived ease of use and repurchase intention by considering customer satisfaction as a mediating variable among Livin’ by Mandiri users in Samarinda. The increasing adoption of digital banking has created intense competition, making it essential for banks to improve user experience in order to maintain customer loyalty. A quantitative research approach was applied using a survey method. Data were obtained from 100 respondents through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings reveal that perceived ease of use does not directly influence repurchase intention. However, it has a significant positive impact on customer satisfaction, which subsequently affects repurchase intention. In addition, customer satisfaction functions as a full mediator in the relationship between perceived ease of use and repurchase intention. These results indicate that ease of use alone is insufficient to encourage continued usage unless it contributes to a satisfying user experience. Therefore, banks should prioritize enhancing overall user satisfaction alongside system usability to improve customer retention in digital banking services.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve financial literacy and the independence of the manager of Toko Hawaii Alat Jahit Samarinda in conducting digital business financial recording. The main problems faced by the partner include irregular and unstructured recording of income and expenses, as well as the potential mixing of personal and business finances. The activity was carried out using a participatory training approach through initial observation, interviews, financial management education, mentoring in the use of Money Tracker, transaction recording practice, and evaluation of the partner’s ability. Changes were measured using a structured observation sheet with indicators covering understanding of financial recording, income recording, expense recording, transaction categorization, separation of personal and business finances, and the ability to read financial summaries. The results show that the partner began to understand the importance of transaction recording as a basis for business control, started to develop the habit of recording income and expenses, and became more aware of the importance of separating business and personal finances. This activity indicates that MSME financial digitalization requires not only an application but also personal mentoring that can align technology with the partner’s habits and needs.

Abstract

The nutritional status of toddlers is a key indicator for assessing public health levels. Nutritional problems such as undernutrition remain common and require effective analysis to identify data patterns quickly and accurately. This study aims to cluster the nutritional status of toddlers in the Bukuan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Posyandu area using the K-Means algorithm with the CRISP-DM approach. The main challenge in this study is that the processing of nutritional status data is still done manually, making it less effective in quickly and accurately identifying patterns and risk groups. The dataset consists of 2,145 records of toddlers from 12 Posyandu, with primary attributes including weight, height, age, and gender. The research process was conducted through the CRISP-DM stages, which include business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, and evaluation, without deployment implementation since the study focused on data analysis. The clustering process was performed using the K-Means algorithm, with the optimal number of clusters determined via the Elbow method, resulting in three clusters. Model evaluation using the Silhouette Score yielded a value of 0.629, indicating that the clustering quality falls into the “good” category. The results show that data on toddlers can be grouped into three nutritional status categories: under-nutrition, adequate nutrition (normal), and over-nutrition, based on centroid values. The data distribution indicates that the adequate nutrition category dominates, though there remains a significant number of cases in the under-nutrition category. Thus, the application of the K-Means algorithm provides more structured and accurate information for identifying the nutritional status of toddlers and can serve as a basis for data-driven decision-making in public health programs.

Abstract

Laboratory practicum scheduling at higher education institutions involving multiple study programs, limited laboratory facilities, and complex theory class constraints constitutes a combinatorial optimization problem classified as NP-Hard. Previous studies on academic scheduling have applied various meta-heuristic and exact methods; however, few have simultaneously integrated laboratory specialization rules, multi-credit session contiguity, and theory schedule blocking within a single optimization framework. This study designs and implements an automated practicum scheduling system based on the Constraint Programming with Boolean Satisfiability (CP-SAT) method using Google OR-Tools to address the scheduling challenges at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. A quantitative optimization approach was employed, encompassing six systematic stages: data collection, requirements analysis, Set Theory-based data preprocessing, CP-SAT mathematical model formulation with five hard constraints and a hierarchical penalty objective function, algorithm execution, and five-aspect verification testing. The dataset comprises 22 practicum courses, 63 groups, 1,327 students, 5 laboratories, and 129 theory schedule blocking entries. The computational environment utilized an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor (16 logical cores, 16 GB RAM) running Python 3.14.3 with OR-Tools 9.15.6755 on Windows 11. The CP-SAT solver processed 17,010 Boolean decision variables and achieved OPTIMAL status in 1.65 seconds, producing 102 conflict-free sessions with 100% compliance across all hard constraints and effective suppression of Saturday scheduling (Z=2.0). Resilience testing across three realistic scenarios confirmed consistent OPTIMAL status. Scalability stress testing from 129 to 329 theory blocks (26.9%–68.5% saturation) demonstrated graceful performance degradation, with the solver maintaining OPTIMAL status throughout, though objective values increased from Z=2.0 to Z=52.0 at highest saturation. Post-optimization field audit revealed that discrepancies between computed and actual schedules stem from uncoordinated student-initiated group swaps rather than algorithmic errors, highlighting the need for institutional swap-management protocols to preserve schedule optimality. Keywords: Constraint programming, CP-SAT, Laboratory scheduling, Google OR-Tools, Timetabling.
