Abstract

Character education from an early age is important in shaping a generation that is moral, religious, and independent. However, the way character is shaped in schools still feels formal and is not yet integrated into student management. This study aims to innovate student management at TK Khadijah 65 Genteng Banyuwangi in order to implement religious values and early childhood independence, as well as to analyze how the planning, habituation, and evaluation of student programs are systematically designed and implemented to shape the character of early childhood students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, with subjects consisting of the principal, teachers, parents, and TPQ partners. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, as well as triangulation as a means of ensuring the validity of the research results. The results showed that student management at Khadijah 65 Kindergarten covered four main aspects: (1) planning based on the school's vision and involving the participation of all parties, (2) the implementation of religious habits and independence through routine activities, (3) character development assessment using checklists and portfolios, although not yet fully uniform, and (4) strong cooperation between the school, parents, and TPQ, which reinforces good habits at home and in the surrounding environment. This study concludes that the innovation in student management at Khadijah 65 Kindergarten has succeeded in creating a comprehensive character education environment, but standardization of assessment tools and improvement of teacher skills are needed to ensure the program continues to develop.

Abstract

Wordwall is a game-based digital learning medium with the potential to create a more active and engaging learning environment. This study aims to describe the role of Wordwall in fostering an active and engaging science and social studies (IPAS) learning environment for third-grade students at MI Tarbiyatul Athfal 1. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research participants included the IPAS teacher, third-grade students, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and technique triangulation, and were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model, consisting of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Wordwall plays a significant role in increasing students' learning participation, creating a more engaging classroom atmosphere, and facilitating students' understanding of IPAS concepts through interactive learning activities. Furthermore, the successful implementation of Wordwall is supported by teachers' pedagogical competence and the availability of learning facilities at the school. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of Wordwall is influenced not only by the characteristics of the learning media itself but also by teachers' instructional strategies, students' active participation, and institutional support in creating an active, engaging, and meaningful learning environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an interactive PowerPoint learning media on the topic of weather and seasons for fourth-grade students and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The participants consisted of two expert validators, two fourth-grade teachers, and 14 fourth-grade students at MI Unggulan Ummul Quro. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The results showed that the media achieved an average validation score of 88.28% (valid), while teacher responses reached 84.37%, indicating that the media was practical to use. Students' average scores improved from 56.07 on the pretest to 86.79 on the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.71 in the high category. Therefore, the developed interactive PowerPoint learning media is valid, practical, and effective for improving fourth-grade students' learning outcomes on the topic of weather and seasons.
