Abstract

This article discusses the role of conservative religious movements in shaping religious moderation in Indonesia, particularly in the context of a pluralistic society undergoing constant social change. Amidst increasing globalization, digitalization, and the development of transnational religious thought, conservatism occupies a unique position because, on the one hand, it preserves the purity of religious teachings, but on the other hand, it can cause resistance to religious moderation programs. This study uses a literature review method to explore the concept of religious moderation, the nature of conservative movements, and their contribution to strengthening balanced religious practices. The results of the study show that conservative groups can play a positive role in religious moderation by safeguarding basic values and moral stability, as well as acting as a counterbalance between tradition and modernity. However, these groups also face challenges in the form of limited literacy on moderation, political influence, and a tendency to misunderstand moderation. This article offers several strategic solutions, such as strengthening religious dialogue, improving religious literacy, collaboration between conservative and moderate figures, reformulating the education curriculum, strengthening local cultural values, and state policy support. This study emphasizes that conservatism is not always an obstacle but can be an important partner in building constructive and sustainable religious moderation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Guidance and Counseling in addressing learning difficulties among students from broken home family backgrounds. The background of this research is based on the increasing number of students experiencing learning difficulties, and upon investigation, many of these students come from broken home families or families that are not intact, not harmonious, or in unfavorable conditions. This situation impacts the children, as they receive less attention from their families, resulting in a lack of learning motivation originating from their own family environment. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The focus of this study is the role of Guidance and Counseling carried out by teachers or counselors in assisting students who face family-related problems. Data collection techniques include literature review. The results of the study indicate that the role of Guidance and Counseling is highly important and significantly helps students in overcoming learning difficulties through both individual counseling and group guidance, as well as through the provision of learning motivation by counselors. An empathetic approach and emotional support are key factors in the success of students dealing with family issues. The conclusion of this study is that the role of Guidance and Counseling is highly significant in supporting students’ learning processes, particularly those from broken home backgrounds, both in academic and psychological aspects. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize Guidance and Counseling services in a more structured and sustainable manner. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yang penting yaitu agar dapat menganalisis peran Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam menangani kesulitan belajar siswa yang memiliki latar belakang keluarga broken home. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu melihat begitu banyaknya atau maraknya siswa yang kesulitan dalam belajar dan setelah diselidiki anak-anak tersebut berlatar belakang keluarga broken home atau keluarga yang tidak utuh, tidak harmonis ataupun memiliki kondisi yang tidak baik. Hal tersebut berdampak pada sang anak yang kurang perhatian dari keluarganya sehingga kurang motivasi belajar dari keluarganya sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Fokus pada penelitian ini yaitu peran bimbingan dan konseling yang akan dijalankan oleh guru atau pengampu bimbingan dan konseling terhadap anak-anak yang memiliki masalah dalam keluarganya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran bimbingan dan konseling sangatlah penting dan sangat membantu siswa dalam menangani kesulitan belajar melalui konseling yang dilakukan individual maupun bimbingan kelompok dan pemberian motivasi belajar oleh pengampu bimbingan dan konseling. Pendekatan empatik dan dukungan emosional juga menjadi faktor utama dalam keberhasilan siswa-siswa yang memiliki masalah keluarga tersebut. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah peran bimbingan dan konseling sangat signifikan dalam mendukung proses belajar siswa khususnya siswa yang berlatar belakang broken home, baik dari aspek akademik maupun psikologis. Dari hal tesebut, diperlukan optimalisasi layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang lebih terarah dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Management is an important thing in an organization or institution, one part of management itself is organizing. In this study, the implementation or application of organizing, division of tasks and coordination of administrators in educational management at the Bustanul Mansuriyah Islamic boarding school is described. Various previous studies have also examined management in Islamic boarding schools, but in this study the focus is on educational management, division of tasks and coordination of administrators in Islamic boarding schools as a form of organization that occurs at the Bustanul Mansuriyah Islamic boarding school. The purpose of this study is to find out in detail how the implementation of organization occurs at the Bustanul Mansuriyah Islamic boarding school in the field of education and to find out how the organizational system runs as a form of educational management, namely organizing in the form of division of tasks and coordination of administrators. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, documentation and library research from valid sources from books, journals and others, as well as from several previous studies. The results of this study indicate that organization, division of tasks, and coordination among administrators are crucial factors in the functioning of an organization, including Islamic boarding school education.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education cannot be separated from the role of teachers as the primary actors in the learning process. However, various issues such as low-quality instruction, suboptimal mastery of technology, and weak application of ethical values, remain challenges in fostering teacher professionalism. This study aims to examine teacher professionalism through the relationship between competencies and professional ethics. This study employs a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach, involving the collection and analysis of relevant scientific sources. The findings indicate that competencies and ethics have a complementary relationship in shaping teacher professionalism. Competencies provide the foundational skills for carrying out instructional tasks, while ethics serve as a moral guide for fulfilling those roles responsibly. Without a balance between the two, the educational process risks losing its direction, both in terms of effectiveness and humanistic values. Therefore, teacher professionalism must be developed by strengthening competencies in alignment with the application of ethical values in educational practice. Abstract

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence [AI] has transformed learning assessment practices, particularly in response to the need for authentic and differentiated evaluation in the digital era. While AI promises greater efficiency, its adoption in schools also raises several ethical and technical concerns. This article argues that AI will be most effective when positioned as a teacher’s partner through a Human-in-the-Loop approach, rather than as a fully automated replacement. To examine this issue, the study employs a literature review method with thematic analysis of 30 articles from SINTA and Scopus-indexed journals published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that AI offers three significant opportunities: accelerating the assessment process through Automated Essay Scoring, adjusting item difficulty adaptively, and identifying at-risk students using predictive analytics. However, implementation faces three major challenges, namely cultural bias in algorithms, the risk of student data breaches, and the erosion of teachers’ sensitivity in assessment. Therefore, this article recommends clear regulations, strengthening teachers’ AI literacy, and a collaborative model between AI and teachers to ensure that assessment remains both accurate and humane.
