Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menyusun panduan jenjang karir pegawai kelompok staf yang bukan dosen atau non-dosen pada perguruan tinggi Akademi Teknik Soroako (ATS). Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yang bertujuan memberikan gambaran secara obyektif terhadap obyek yang diteliti. Data primer diperoleh dengan cara analisis dokumen dan wawancara terhadap pegawai personalia ATS dan para pegawai serta atasannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pegawai kelompo staf non-dosen ATS merupakan manajemen lini depan pada bagian administrasi institusi dan unit produksi yang terdiri dari officer administrasi, pengawas dan planner produksi. Jenjang karir yang disusun terdiri dari delapan tingkatan jabatan. Masing-masing tingkatan memerlukan persyaratan unsur profesional dan operasional untuk mengajukan proposal kenaikan pangkat setiap minimal dua tahun. Persyaratan profesional terdiri dari 1) jenjang Pendidikan formal, 2) kompetensi tehnis, 3) kompetensi manajerial dan kepemimpinan, dan 4) kompetensi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Persyaratan operasional terdiri dari 1) prestasi kehadiran kerja, 2) prestasi displin kerja, dan 3) penilaian kinerja pegawai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka diambil kesimpulan bahwa panduan jenjang karir pegawai kelompok staf non-dosen ATS yang telah disusun dapat digunakan sebagai acuan pengelolaan karir pegawai pada Akademi Teknik Soroako. Kata Kunci: Jenjang karir; kelompok staf non-dosen; persyaratan profesional; persyaratan operasional.

Abstract

East Luwu is a developing district in the economic sector. One of them is a small micro medium business producing bread. Some bakeries still use simple equipment such as manual rollers. The bakery needs a machine that is able to produce flatbread dough with a larger amount, faster time, and the thickness of the bread dough can be adjusted. To support the bakeries, a bread dough peeler is needed to reduce the cost and time. In this study describe the literature study phase and data collection of demands with the parties involved, the design process, manufacturing and testing the machine. The engine drive consists of two modes, the manual crank rotation mode and the 3 phase electric motor mode (380 Volt) with 1390 rpm rotation passed through a two-level pulley-belt transmission system with a ratio of 16, so that it can produce 87 rpm of the roller rotation. Rolling Bread Dough Machine is capable of rolling or flattening bread dough with a thickness of 2 to 15 mm well. thicknesses of 1 to 1.5 mm still need improvement because it produces poorly bread dough and the dough sticks to the machine roller.

Abstract

Sampah plastik yang menumpuk di pesisir danau Matano merupakan akumulasi dari perilaku masyarakat selama bertahun-tahun membuang sampah di sembarang tempat yang pada akhirnya terbawa air ke Danau Matano. Diperlukan upaya bersama antara masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah guna menanggulangi penumpukan sampah tersebut. Meskipun telah dilakukan upaya pembersihan, namun penumpukan sampah masih terlihat di beberapa titik. Salah satu kendala karena sulitnya menjangkau area yang berada di air yang bercampur lumpur, serta keberadaannya di bawah rumah-rumah warga setempat.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang perahu yang dapat menjangkau area penumpukan sampah di air, serta mengangkat sampah tersebut ke atas perahu secara otomatis menggunakan metode pembanding. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa gambar rancangan menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor yang siap dilakukan proses Fabrikasi dengan ukuran utama 3740 x 2000 x 800 (L x B x D). Pengujian dilakukan melalui analisis berat yaitu sebesar 179,97 kg, dengan gaya apung sebesar 606,53 kg, sedangkan volume lambung yang akan tenggelam ketika berada pada kapasitas maksimal sebesar 79,13%. Dari hasil tersebut, perahu akan dapat berfungsi sebagaimana yang diharapkan.  A piled of plastic waste has been seen across the shore of Lake Matano. This has become the results of local people’s bad behavior for years for not throwing their garbage to its place. Those waste has been carried by the stream and forms such a disturbing plastic pile along the shore, and had raised some environmental concerns over this behavior. Therefore, this requires serious attention particularly from the community and local government for solution. There have been some actions taken for trying to solve it, however, similar pile is still found in some hotspots. There has been some limitation to those actions, for example to reach areas under the water that has already been mixed with muds for a long time, and those which has been stack under houses of the local’s residents. This research aimed at designing a garbage boat that shall able to collecting the waste, particularly plastic in some difficult hotspots mentioned above automatically by the use of a comparison method. The result is a drawing design generated by the Autodesk Inventor software which is ready for next step, the fabrication process. The main dimension of the boat is 3740x2000x800 (L x B x D). A test was done specifically on the weight of the boat which approximately 177.97kg, with a buoyancy force of 606,53 kg, Then the volume for the hull part would sink whenever reach its ‘capacity of 79,13%. Under this current estimation, the whole part is ready for operation.

Abstract

Compost can occur by itself through natural processes, but the process takes a long time. The process of organic materials such as grass into compost can be accelerated by the process of being chopped into small pieces first, then mixed with microorganisms. The process of cutting or chopping grass will be faster if done with a chopper machine. The size of the grass's chops significantly affects the composting process. The smaller of the chops, the composting process will be faster because decomposing bacteria touch the surface area. The research aims to study the effect of the inclination and the number of chopper blades on the grass chopper machine's performance. One component that affects the results of a chopper is a blade. The initial stage of this study is to build a prototype chopper with blades made from high-speed steel (HSS). The process of data collection is based on the different blade inclinations, i.e., 0o, 5o, and 10o to the horizontal axis, and the different number of blades, i.e., 2, 3, and 4 with 3,339 rpm motor rotation. The chopping capacity of the machine is measured based on the weight and length of the chops. The results of testing with the same blade inclination and the different number of blades show that with four blades, the weight of the chops is greater, and the percentage of chops with lengths > 1.5 cm is lower. This happens because the frequency of cutting is greater. While the same number of blades, but with different inclination, the weight and percentage of chops with lengths > 1.5 cm tend to be similar due to changes in the cutting platform.

Abstract

Unit Produksi YPS yang berada di desa Sorowako kabupaten Luwu Timur merupakan sebuah unit pelaksana Jasa Manufaktur yang setiap hari menerima dan mengerjakan produk-produk pesanan dari PT Vale dan perusahaan lokal yang berada di wilayah sekitar. Untuk merencanakan, mengendalikan, dan mencatat proses proses produksi yang terjadi, Unit Produksi YPS menggunakan sebuah Aplikasi Proses Produksi. Para karyawan khususnya yang baru diterima sebagai tenaga baru belum tahu dan memahami penggunaan aplikasi Proses Produksi sehingga mereka membutuhkan pelatihan yang sesuai agar pekerjaan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Melalui Pengabdian (PkM) ini Penulis bersama tim melakukan pelatihan kepada para karyawan yang terdiri dari supervisor, leader, petugas logistik, dan admin. Pelatihan dilakukan selama 4 hari dengan total durasi 36 jam dengan rincian 3 hari pelatihan dalam ruang kelas dan 1 hari simulasi di masing-masing area. Dari hasil pelatihan yang dilaksankan dengan penjelasan modul-modul yang ada pada aplikasi para karyawan telah mampu memahami dan menggunakan aplikasi dengan baik dan lancar.

Abstract

Library visitor data is one of the indicators for assessing the success of managing a library. The library manager must ensure that every visitor data is recorded properly, so that the information obtained from processing the data can be used as a basis for continuous improvement, therefore for this activity to run well, an accurate, effective and efficient visitor recording system is needed. This research was conducted to provide solutions related to the above problems by building a library visitor recording system with biometric identification using fingerprints. The method used in this study is an experimental method by designing, manufacturing and testing tools. This system is equipped with the use of sliding doors as security which will open if library visitors have gone through the fingerprint identification process. Testing is carried out in three parts, the first test is on the application, database, and connection to the fingerprint module. The second test is on the connection between the fingerprint and the driving motor and the third test is on the Arduino connection with sliding door movement and limit switch performance. The test results go well and the system can work to record automatically, open and close doors according to the settings that have been made.

Abstract

The sacrificial animal slaughtering activities in Sorowako Village have long faced challenges such as occupational accident risks, lack of attention to animal welfare, and potential meat quality degradation due to manual toppling methods. This community service aims to develop a cattle-toppling aid to improve the efficiency, safety, and quality of the slaughtering process. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with a participatory approach, involving the Al-Ukhuwah Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) and experienced butchers. The activity stages included needs analysis, design, prototype fabrication, as well as testing and evaluation. The result is a functional, sturdy, and user-friendly toppling device based on a hollow iron frame with a pulley system. Implementation during Eid al-Adha demonstrated significant improvements: safety for butchers and committee members increased drastically, the toppling process became faster and more humane, and meat quality and hygiene were better maintained due to minimized contamination and bruising. The tool was well received by the community and has become a tangible solution aligned with Islamic principles (taysir) and animal welfare standards. Further development and continuous training are recommended for optimal use of the tool.

Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is a strategic instrument in human resource management that directly influences competency development, job promotion, and remuneration policies. However, conventional top-down appraisal systems are often confronted with issues of subjectivity, evaluator bias, and limited transparency in the evaluation process. This study aims to develop a digital-based 360-degree performance appraisal system that integrates multi-source perspectives, including supervisors, peers, subordinates, and self-assessment, within a unified platform. The study employed an Agile-based system development method using an iterative approach, supported by data collection techniques consisting of literature review, business process observation, and in-depth interviews with stakeholders within higher education institutions. The system was designed using a web-based architecture with role-separated modules, a role-based access control (RBAC) authentication mechanism, and score normalization algorithms to ensure assessment consistency. The testing results indicate that the system successfully improves evaluation objectivity through standardized weighting distribution, enhances transparency through audit trail and real-time reporting features, and accelerates the recapitulation process by up to 78% compared to manual methods. Furthermore, the system effectively reduces single-evaluator bias and strengthens accountability in human resource management decision-making. This study concludes that the digitalization of 360-degree performance appraisal functions not merely as an automation tool, but as a strategic instrument for establishing a fair, transparent, and data-driven evaluation culture.

Abstract

Artikel pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini membahas pengembangan dan penerapan mesin pencacah ikan sapu-sapu untuk mendukung pengolahan biomassa berkelanjutan di kawasan Danau Matano. Kegiatan dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan mengolah biomassa ikan sapu-sapu menjadi bahan bernilai guna, seperti bahan pakan ternak, komponen pupuk organik, dan bahan baku pelet. Metode pelaksanaan memadukan pengembangan teknologi tepat guna dengan pendampingan partisipatif kepada UMKM binaan PT Vale, meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, penyusunan rancangan dasar mesin, penentuan spesifikasi teknis, analisis gaya potong dan kapasitas, fabrikasi komponen mekanikal, perakitan sistem penggerak, pengujian kinerja, demonstrasi pengoperasian, dan serah terima teknologi. Pengujian kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap 10 ekor ikan sapu-sapu dengan ukuran lebar 5-8 cm, panjang 20-40 cm, dan berat 200-500 gram per ekor. Mesin bekerja pada putaran blade sekitar 60 rpm dengan waktu pencacahan 10-20 detik per ekor. Ukuran hasil cacahan berada pada rentang 1-4 cm dan relatif seragam, dengan estimasi kapasitas aktual 36-180 kg per jam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mesin pencacah layak digunakan sebagai unit awal pengolahan biomassa ikan sapu-sapu serta berkontribusi terhadap pemberdayaan mitra, peningkatan produktivitas UMKM, dan konservasi lingkungan melalui pemanfaatan biomassa perairan lokal secara produktif.

Abstract

Pengeringan ikan merupakan metode penting dalam pengawetan produk perikanan di Indonesia, namun metode tradisional menghadapi tantangan seperti ketergantungan cuaca dan risiko kontaminasi. Tujuan review ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi perkembangan teknologi pengeringan ikan, dengan fokus pada inovasi yang meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas produk. Literatur dikumpulkan dengan metode PRISMA melalui pencarian di Google Scholar dan Garuda menggunakan kata kunci "pengeringan ikan" dan disaring berdasarkan kriteria tahun publikasi (2015–2025) dan relevansi topik. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa teknologi seperti oven listrik, sistem hibrid surya-listrik, dan pengeringan cerdas berbasis fuzzy logic telah memperbaiki kecepatan dan konsistensi pengeringan, dengan suhu optimal 45–70°C untuk menghasilkan ikan kering dengan kadar air <30%. Tren teknologi pengeringan ikan menunjukkan arah yang positif, dengan inovasi yang semakin efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam penerapan skala industri dan analisis dampak lingkungan. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan teknologi ini, mengatasi kesenjangan yang ada, dan mendukung keberlanjutan industri perikanan Indonesia.
