Abstract

This study aims to analyze new strategies in religious education in the digital age. The effectiveness and efficiency of learning are influenced by the accuracy of selecting the learning strategy. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, whereby data is collected through document searches to identify patterns of learning strategies. Analysis is then conducted using Holsti's content analysis, concluding the objective, systematic, and measurable identification of message characteristics. The results of the study confirm that religious education in madrasas has its own characteristics and methods for achieving learning objectives, so that PAI teachers must be able to determine the appropriate and effective models and strategies. In addition, the current learning effectiveness patterns are not yet fully effective, possibly due to a lack of creativity or new strategies to be applied during learning. The digital era has given rise to many learning systems that are conducted virtually and offline, which have a positive impact on the learning process, but also have a negative impact. This is due to several factors that hinder the virtual and offline learning process. Thus, in response to the advances of the digital era, religious education in madrasahs needs to develop new strategies for PAI teachers in implementing their teaching, with the aim and hope that learning can be carried out productively and effectively.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract. This study emphasizes the urgency of enhancing the educational system and implementing preventive measures for child protection. Additionally, it shows that a lack of parental attention to child development is the root cause of many conflicts and acts of violence affecting children in Indonesia. Furthermore, the learning process at educational institutions often fails to maximize moral principles rooted in Islamic education. Through a review of national laws, international human rights treaties, and current research on education and child protection in Indonesia, this study adopts a qualitative approach. Therefore, effective prevention and intervention strategies are necessary to resolve conflicts and violence. The study highlights that achieving a preventive strategy requires strengthening a human rights-based curriculum, improving teachers' competence in child rights education, and establishing accessible, responsive reporting and monitoring systems. It is also vital to understand that these factors collectively have the potential to eliminate various forms of violence and protect children.

Abstract

Background. University students increasingly experience anxiety, emotional exhaustion, fragile self-worth, and existential uncertainty. Narrative counseling supports meaning-making and identity reconstruction but remains grounded in secular humanistic paradigms, while Islamic counseling emphasizes spiritual guidance without systematic narrative reconstruction. This gap highlights the need for an integrative framework bridging psychological meaning-making and Islamic spiritual consciousness. Purpose. This study explored how narrative-based Islamic counseling, grounded in a ruhiological perspective, facilitates students’ psychological and spiritual transformation by reconstructing self-meaning and awakening ruh consciousness. Method. A qualitative narrative inquiry was conducted with three university students experiencing academic anxiety, emotional exhaustion, fear of rejection, and people-pleasing tendencies. Data were collected through narrative-based Islamic counseling sessions, reflective dialogues, counseling notes, and participant reflections, following six ruhiological stages, and analyzed using thematic narrative analysis. Results. Four themes emerged: fragile self-worth shaped by external validation; narrative reflection as meaning reconstruction; awakening of ruh consciousness through spiritual reflection and reconnection with God; and a Ruhiological Narrative Transformation Model describing the shift from externally driven identities toward spiritually grounded selfhood. Participants showed greater existential clarity, emotional resilience, and spiritually rooted self-understanding. Conclusion. This study introduces a Ruhiological Narrative Counseling framework integrating narrative inquiry, Islamic psychology, and Ruhiology, positioned as a paradigm of consciousness enabling reconstruction through ruh awakening. The model offers a practical roadmap for Islamic educational psychology addressing students’ anxiety, identity conflicts, and existential crises.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of democratic parenting and self-esteem on students’ public speaking skills at the Online Business and Marketing Department of SMKN 14 Jakarta. The research employed a Sequential Explanatory Mixed Methods design, in which quantitative data were collected and analyzed first, followed by qualitative data to explain and enrich the statistical findings. The quantitative phase involved 70 students selected through proportional random sampling using questionnaires, while the qualitative phase consisted of interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis of students’ academic records and achievements. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression, whereas qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and source triangulation. The findings revealed that students’ public speaking skills were generally low. Democratic parenting had a positive and significant effect on public speaking skills (t = 3.513 > 1.995), while self-esteem demonstrated a stronger positive and significant effect (t = 8.260 > 1.995). Simultaneously, democratic parenting and self-esteem significantly influenced public speaking skills (F = 29.886 > 3.13) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.471, indicating that both variables explained 47.1% of the variance in students’ public speaking skills. Qualitative findings confirmed that democratic parenting fostered open communication, emotional support, and opportunities for children to express opinions, which contributed to the development of positive self-esteem. In turn, positive self-esteem enhanced students’ confidence, participation, and effectiveness in public speaking. The study concludes that strengthening family communication and promoting students’ self-esteem are essential strategies for improving public speaking competence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of students’ creativity through the implementation of the Tahfizh Creative Learning (TCL) Model in Qur’anic memorization learning. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 28 elementary school students. Students’ creativity was measured using an open-ended instrument based on five indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and meaning connection. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The results showed that the mean creativity score increased from 50.18 in the pretest to 91.07 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant difference between students’ creativity scores before and after the implementation of the TCL Model (p < 0.05). The N-Gain analysis produced a mean score of 0.821, which falls into the high category, with all students demonstrating a high level of improvement. These findings indicate that the implementation of the TCL Model can improve students’ creativity in Qur’anic memorization learning. The model provides learning experiences that extend beyond memorization by incorporating verse comprehension, tadabbur, problem identification, idea generation, solution development, and the implementation of Qur’anic values in daily life. Therefore, the TCL Model can serve as an alternative approach to Qur’anic memorization learning that integrates memorization skills with the development of students’ creativity.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an Islamic Guidance and Counseling module based on Tazkiyatun Nafs using the ADDIE model that is feasible, practical, implementable, and demonstrates limited initial effectiveness in improving the spiritual health of Grade XII students at SMA Darul Hikmah. The study employed a Research and Development approach consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The limited trial involved 60 Grade XII students, two guidance and counseling teachers as module users, and five validators during the content-validation stage. Data were collected through interviews, observations, document analysis, validation forms, practicality questionnaires, implementation-observation sheets, and a 30-item spiritual health scale administered before and after five service sessions. Qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, Aiken’s V, practicality and implementation percentages, internal consistency, paired-samples t-test, Cohen’s dzd_zdz, and N-Gain. The needs analysis resulted in five service focuses: strength of faith, freedom from diseases of the heart, noble character, productivity in social relationships, and happiness in this world and the hereafter. Content validation produced a mean Aiken’s V of 0.889, ranging from 0.800 to 1.000. The practicality score reached 85.16% according to the guidance and counseling teachers and 83.75% according to the students, while the implementation of the service syntax reached 91.67%. The mean spiritual health score increased from 2.650 at pretest to 3.129 at posttest. The paired-samples t-test indicated a significant difference, t(59)=7.771, p < 0.001, with Cohen’s dz=1.003 and an N-Gain of 0.321. Therefore, the module was considered feasible and practical for use in a limited trial and demonstrated initial potential effectiveness. However, because the study did not employ a control group, the findings cannot be interpreted as causal evidence or broadly generalized.
