Abstract

More than 60 million MSMEs remain actively moving and growing and can even contribute up to 61.07% of the country's economic growth GDP. The potential development of MSMEs needs to be considered again both by the government and the community as a actor in MSMEs in order to develop and grow to compete with other business sectors. In an MSME development plan, it requires capital investment that will be allocated by MSMEs to meet the needs of increasing technology, production and infrastructure facilities. This research was conducted with the aim of conducting financial and non-financial analysis to develop popular yellow tofu MSMEs. This study uses the method of 4 criteria for financial feasibility analysis, namely IRR, NPV, PP, PI and also reviewed technical aspects to determine the feasibility of MSME development. The results of this study show that the plan to increase production capacity in msme yellow tofu is feasible to be implemented with an NPV value of 1,014,825,332>0, an IRR value of 37.1%>5%, a PI value of 10.18>1 and a period of return on investment capital is 2 months 16 days. As well as in terms of technical aspects of the yellow tofu business is worth developing because of the need for equipment, and factory buildings can be fulfilled by using personal costs and realized gradually.

Abstract

The supply chain cannot be separated from the activities of manufacturing and service activities. The very dynamic development proves that the emergence of various risks that have the opportunity to hinder the supply chain process itself. The design that will be achieved is risk mitigation using a house of risk in processed salt products. The procedures we use lead to the house of risk I and the house of risk II with the achievement of preventive action. The findings obtained are responses by mapping position repositioning based on background, training as a science development, work assignments according to detailed equipment analysis and recapitulation, replacement of parts that have the potential to hinder the production process and monitoring of estimated repair times in total productive maintenance. The importance of risk to supply chains requires better development and mitigation. This is the lowest level key to consistently achieving supply chain processes in accordance with the expectations of the users involved.

Abstract

The high rate of occupational accidents in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), particularly in the button map manufacturing process at PT. RR, is caused by unsafe rivet machine designs and risky work methods. This issue necessitates a feasible and integrated solution. A Methods Engineering approach was selected to combine technical and managerial interventions to create a safer working environment without sacrificing productivity. This study aims to: (1) analyze the effectiveness of rivet machine modifications in preventing accidents; (2) evaluate the impact of modified work methods on worker behavior and fatigue; and (3) measure the simultaneous balance between improved occupational safety and productivity. The research employs a mixed-methods quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The stages include: (1) problem identification and baseline analysis; (2) design and implementation of interventions; (3) participatory worker training; (4) monitoring and data collection for three months post-intervention; (5) quantitative and qualitative data analysis; and (6) evaluation and conclusion formulation. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in operational performance, characterized by a 100% reduction in work accidents (from 5 to 0 incidents), the average cycle time decreased from 21.02 seconds to 18.75 seconds, representing a 10.80% improvement in time efficiency, this indicates a 12.1% increase in productivity, rising from 1,199 units/day to 1,344 units/day. Furthermore, there was a 43.44% reduction in the defect rate, dropping from 3.20% to 1.81%, which indicates an improvement in production quality resulting from the intervention. To examine the significance of these changes, a Paired T-test was conducted. The results show a t-stat of 48.63 with a p-value < 0.001 (below the threshold of p < 0.05). These findings provide strong empirical evidence that the implemented Methods Engineering intervention had a statistically significant impact on increasing production process speed.
