Abstract

In IPAS learning in grade IV at SD Negeri 2 Calang, it was found that student learning outcomes were still low and had not reached the minimum competency standard (KKTP) of 75%. This was due to teacher-centered learning and the failure to relate the material to the cultural diversity of the students. This study aims to determine how the application of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) can improve teacher activities, student activities, and learning outcomes in the subject matter “Unique Customs of the Community Around Me.” The research used a qualitative approach of Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles with 27 fourth-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation of teacher activities, observation of student activities, and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the application of CRT had a positive impact on the learning process and outcomes. Teacher activities improved from the good category in cycle I to very good in cycle II. Student activities also improved from good to very good, especially in terms of courage to ask questions, sharing family cultural stories, and cooperation in heterogeneous groups. Student learning outcomes also improved

Abstract

This research aims to determine teacher activities, student activities, and improvement of learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri Lamkunyet Aceh Besar through the use of scrapbook learning media on Pancasila Education material. This research used a qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) type conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were the third-grade teacher and 20 third-grade students at SD Negeri Lamkunyet Aceh Besar. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and tests (pretest-posttest). Data analysis of teacher and student activities used percentage formulas, while analysis of learning outcomes used average score calculations and classical completeness percentages. The research results showed that teacher activities increased from 66% (Good category) in cycle I to 81% (Very Good category) in cycle II. Student activities also increased from 65.79% (Fair category) in cycle I to 75% (Good category) in cycle II. Student learning outcomes showed significant improvement, with average scores increasing from 48 in the pre-action stage to 65 in cycle I, and reaching 74.5 in cycle II. Classical completeness increased from 10% before the action to 60% in cycle I, and reached 85% in cycle II, exceeding the minimum target of 80%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of scrapbook learning media proved effective in improving teacher activities, student activities, and student learning outcomes on Pancasila Education material for third-grade students at SD Negeri Lamkunyet Aceh Besar. Scrapbook media was able to create active, creative, engaging, and meaningful learning for students

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Scramble-type cooperative learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education among fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Lambheu Aceh Besar. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students, with the sample comprising an experimental class and a control class selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a 20-item multiple-choice test administered as pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using the N-Gain test, normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing through an independent sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS. The findings revealed that students taught using the Scramble-type cooperative learning model achieved higher learning outcomes compared to those taught using the direct learning model. The hypothesis testing showed a significance value (2-tailed) < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Scramble-type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SDN 1 Lambheu Aceh Besar.
