Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance digital literacy among the residents of Ngargorejo Village, Ngemplak Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency, by providing training on social media as a tool for promoting the village’s tourism potential. Ngargorejo Village possesses significant tourism potential, including natural beauty, local culture, and distinctive products. However, the community's limited knowledge of social media utilization poses a major challenge in effectively promoting these assets. The training program was designed using a participatory workshop approach, involving ten participants from local tourism managers and small business owners (UMKM). The training materials covered the creation of social media accounts, content development, management strategies, and hands-on practice. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of social media, with the average pre-test score of 49 increasing to 85 in the post-test. Additionally, the quality of participants uploaded content showed notable improvements in terms of visualization, narrative, and consistency. However, challenges remained, including low initial digital literacy, limited internet infrastructure, and inconsistency in content management after the training. To address these issues, the program provided solutions such as individualized mentoring, structured content guidelines, and the establishment of a village social media management team. This program has successfully provided the community with relevant digital skills, enabling them to independently promote their village’s potential. Recommendations for program sustainability include advanced training, infrastructure improvements, and local government support for regular content management.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning and role of spiritualism in marital bonds within the Cireundeu indigenous community in Cimahi, West Java. For the Cireundeu people, marriage is not merely understood as a social bond between two individuals, but rather as a sacred event imbued with profound spiritual dimensions that connect humans with ancestors, nature, and cosmic harmony. This research employs a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with customary leaders and community members, participant observation during traditional marriage ceremonies, and documentation of ritual practices and cultural symbols. The findings indicate that spiritualism in Cireundeu customary marriage is reflected through a series of symbolic rituals, prayers, offerings, and the use of local food in the form of cassava as a staple food representing community cultural identity. These spiritual dimensions function as a means of legitimizing marital bonds, maintaining cosmic balance, strengthening social solidarity, and transmitting customary values to younger generations. The Cireundeu community believes that a marriage conducted without spiritual rituals is not considered valid according to customary norms, even though it is legally recognized by the state. Spiritual values are interpreted as efforts to preserve the sacredness of marriage, maintain family harmony, and ensure the continuity of indigenous culture. This study concludes that spiritualism in Cireundeu indigenous marriage constitutes the core of cultural identity preservation and social structure sustainability amid the challenges of modernization.

Abstract

Village fund transparency is widely recognized as a prerequisite for ensuring public accountability and fostering sustainable development in Indonesia. Despite the existence of formal regulations, challenges remain at the implementation level, particularly in relation to limited digital literacy, insufficient community involvement, and weak administrative capacity within village institutions. This study aims to formulate an adaptive and context-specific model of village fund transparency that not only complies with regulatory frameworks but also incorporates local cultural values to strengthen governance legitimacy. A qualitative multiple-case study design was applied in selected villages in Central Java and South Sulawesi. Data collection involved in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and the examination of official documents. Thematic content analysis was employed to identify emerging patterns, while data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, methods, and member checking with informants. The study identified three fundamental pillars of effective transparency: (1) digital-based information disclosure to enhance public access, (2) inclusive community participation in both planning and monitoring processes, and (3) the integration of local cultural norms into governance mechanisms. This framework addresses the shortcomings of rigid and formalistic systems and contributes to stronger social legitimacy in village governance.The research offers theoretical insights into the discourse on public administration, particularly regarding fiscal transparency at the village level. Practically, the proposed model provides a framework for policymakers to design village fund governance strategies that are more adaptive, participatory, and sustainable in the long term.

Abstract

Pemerintahan desa memiliki peran penting dalam penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik kepada masyarakat. Kualitas pelayanan publik dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, di antaranya kinerja dan disiplin pegawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kinerja dan disiplin, baik secara parsial maupun simultan, terhadap pelayanan publik di Kelurahan Bentakan, Kecamatan Baki, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 20 pegawai Kantor Kelurahan Bentakan dan seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel kinerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pelayanan publik, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai t hitung sebesar 0,061 lebih kecil dari t tabel 1,739. Sementara itu, variabel disiplin berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pelayanan publik dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 3,658 lebih besar dari t tabel 1,739. Secara simultan, variabel kinerja dan disiplin berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pelayanan publik, dibuktikan dengan nilai F hitung sebesar 7,168 lebih besar dari F tabel 3,20. Dengan demikian, disiplin pegawai menjadi faktor yang lebih dominan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik di Kelurahan Bentakan.
