Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan kognitif siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Al-Fattah Buduran-Sidoarjo. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik, yaitu metode tes kognitif, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kemampuan kognitif siswa peringkat pertama pada C1 baik, C2 sangat kurang, C3 cukup, C4 baik, C5 baik dan C6 cukup. Kemampuan kognitif peringkat dua pada C1 sangat baik, C2 baik, C3 kurang, C4 cukup, C5 baik, dan C6 sangat baik. Sedangkan pada peringkat ketiga C1 sangat baik, C2 baik, C3 sangat kurang, C4 baik, C5 baik, dan C6 cukup. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa setiap siswa dengan tingkat prestasi berbeda memiliki kemampuan kognitif yang berbeda.

Abstract

The STEM is an approach that seemly considered will be useful in online learning, because it can facilitate students to learn some  skills from about 21st century.  This study was aimed to develop module-based STEM in improving scientific literacy skills in distance learning through e learning. Because this research developed module-based STEM, this study was named developmental research. The research procedure follows the stages of the R & D method developed by Barg and Gall which includes the studies of preliminary, product planning, development, validation (validation by experts), and  revision, lastly field testing. Moduls that have been declared valid by experts are field tested using one group pretest-posttest design in an experimental class. The results show that the feasibility of module-based STEM in distance learning model to increase students' skills within scientific literacy was valid with the average score of 4.28 by two experts. In addition, the application of integrated STEM teaching materials through e-learning has a moderate effect on students' scientific literacy skills since the N-gain score was 0.6.

Abstract

This research aimed to review students’ scientific thingking in science learning and in terms of increasing science literacy. The research method used was descriptive qualitatively and the data was collected using literature study. Research finding showed that students’ scientific thinking in science learning is conducted by the way of their thinking and acting in dealing with problems that exist in the environment. While, science literacy can be improved by raising students’ scientific thingking skill. By increasing students’ scientific reasoning, the students are be able to have well-ordered and accurate scientific reviewing skill.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara implementasi pembelajaran IPA daring yang dilakukan guru dengan literasi teknologi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari kelas VIII-A dan VIII-G yang berjumlah 67 siswa. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan pengisian angket tentang pembelajaran IPA daring yang dilakukan guru dan literasi teknologi untuk siswa. Hasil penelitian meliputi: nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan diperoleh nilai  3,931 >  1,998. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara implementasi pembelajaran IPA daring yang dilakukan guru terhadap literasi teknologi siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi teori baru yang menguatkan teori-teori sebelumnya. Kata Kunci: Literasi teknologi, pembelajaran daring, IPA

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of Blended Learning type practical application in Natural Science Education subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Gempol. Research is a descriptive quantitative study with the research design of one-group-pre test-post test. The research sample amounted to 19 students from class VIII B. The instruments used in this study are study-management sheets, student activity sheets, student response sheets and student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique of learning implementation using the formula of Percentage of agreement, student activity using activity calculation techniques, student response using the technique of response analysis and learning results using N-Gain. The results of the study gained from the implementation of learning by 95% in good category, student activity of active value and positive response is superior, and test of learning results successfully increased with a percentage of compensation ≥ 85%. Thereby learning Blended Learning by using Moodle learning apps is said to be effective.

Abstract

Textbooks based on the ASSURE learning model can be an alternative learning resource that utilizes technology. This study aims to: 1) describe the validity of developing textbooks based on the ASSURE learning model to teach problem solving, 2) describe the practicality of developing textbooks based on the ASSURE learning model to teach problem solving, and 3) describe the effectiveness of developing textbooks based on the learning model to teach solution to problem. The research uses the ADDIE development model. The research data were obtained from validity sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, solution sheets and constraints in learning, as well as problem solving descriptions. The results of data analysis show that the validity of the textbooks is 88.32 – 95.4% including valid qualifications, the practicality of textbooks is 78 – 100% declared reliable and the effectiveness of textbooks is 69% – 74% including the medium – high category. Thus, the development of textbooks based on the ASSURE learning model to teach problem solving is declared valid, practical and effective so that the product is feasible to use.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang massif memungkinkan individu dari berbagai belahan dunia dengan budaya yang berbeda melakukan kolaborasi untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan mencapai tujuan bersama. Sehingga diperlukan suatu keterampilan baru yaitu pemecahan masalah kolaboratif. Tetapi berdasarkan beberapa hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pemecahan masalah kolaboratif masih rendah, jarang dilatihkan di sekolah dan pelatihan kerja, serta perlu ditingkatkan. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini, calon guru IPA akan dilatih pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dalam bentuk perkuliahan blended learning berbasis multikultural.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif berdasarkan komponen-komponen penyusunnya dan respon calon guru IPA terhadap pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dan blended learning. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desainone group pretest posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dan lembar angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif calon guru IPA mengalami peningkatan yang dapat dilihat dari nilai n-gain sebesar 0,7 (sedang). Calon guru IPA memiliki respon positif terhadap pemecahan masalah kolaboratif sebesar 78,32 dan blended learning sebesar 76,56. Dapat disimpulkan perkuliahan blended learning berbasis multikultural efektif untuk mengajarkan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dan memberikan respon positif.

Abstract

This scientific article presents a community service activity aimed at addressing barriers to improving students' literacy and numeracy at SD Negeri Bulusari 1 Kec. Gempol, Kab. Pasuruan. The primary challenge faced by teachers was their limited knowledge in literacy and numeracy. To tackle this issue, a solution was implemented through literacy and numeracy material socialization. The study reveals that this socialization initiative significantly enhanced teachers' understanding of literacy and numeracy concepts and their ability to design engaging literacy and numeracy activities. The results highlight the potential of material socialization as a practical and effective strategy to empower educators and positively impact students' learning outcomes. Highlights: The study focuses on a community service activity that addresses the challenges of enhancing literacy and numeracy among students, particularly at SD Negeri Bulusari 1 Kec. Gempol, Kab. Pasuruan. Abstract

This study employs a quantitative approach to investigate the impact of an inquiry learning model supported by digital web teaching materials on science learning outcomes among middle school students. The pre-experimental research method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed in an experimental class at Muhammadiyah 5 Reinforcement Middle School. Utilizing cognitive learning outcome multiple-choice questions, the study found a significant increase in student learning outcomes, supported by a medium-category average N-Gain score. Paired sample t-test results indicated rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1), with a significance level of 0.00. The tcount (27.043) exceeded ttable (2.056), affirming the efficacy of the inquiry learning model assisted by digital web teaching materials. This study contributes to the understanding of enhancing cognitive science learning outcomes through innovative instructional approaches, highlighting the potential of digital tools to elevate education quality. Highlights: Effective Pedagogical Approach: The study demonstrates the effectiveness of an inquiry-based learning model supported by digital web teaching materials in improving cognitive learning outcomes in science education. Significant Learning Gains: The research reveals a substantial increase in student learning outcomes, with a medium-category average N-Gain score, affirming the positive impact of the instructional intervention. Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of Science Quartet learning media in middle school science education, specifically focusing on taxonomy comprehension. The research aims to ascertain the effectiveness of this approach by analyzing teacher management, student engagement, learning outcomes, and student responses. Employing a quantitative experimental design with pretest-posttest methodology, the study collected data through observation sheets, tests, and questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and the N-Gain test were employed to analyze implementation, student activities, and cognitive learning outcomes. Results reveal a high level of implementation (2.75), excellent student engagement (81.3%), and substantial cognitive learning improvements (average N-Gain of 0.31). Notably, students responded positively (average score of 85.4) to the Science Quartet approach. This research underscores the effectiveness of Science Quartet in enhancing science education, particularly in the context of taxonomy understanding, thus providing valuable insights for science educators globally. Highlights: Innovative Approach: The study introduces the Science Quartet learning media as an innovative method to enhance middle school science education, particularly focusing on taxonomy comprehension.
