Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis masalah kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi siswa sekolah dasar. Proses pengembangan perangkat terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Perangkat yang dikembangkan meliputi rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar kerja, tes metakognisi, dan kuesioner kemampuan metakognisi pada materi Kelipatan Persekutuan Terkecil (KPK) dan Faktor Persekutuan Terbesar (FPB). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan validasi ahli, observasi, kuesioner, dan tes. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas lima SDN Kalitengah I Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis masalah kontekstual yang dikembangkan berkualitas baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkatergori baik, aktivitas siswa berkategori baik, respon metakognisi siswa berkategori positif, ketuntasan hasil belajar metakognisi siswa secara klasikal tercapai. Kemampuan metakognisi siswa menunjukkan hal yang lebih baik dalam hal kesadaran merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah saat dan sesudah pembelajaran berbasis masalah kontekstual. Kata kunci: pembelajaran matematika, metakognisi, pendidikan dasar   ABSTRACT This study aims to develop contextual problem based learning instruments to improve elementary school students metacognition. The process consists of define, design, and develop. The research instruments include lesson plan, worksheet, test, and questionnaire of metacognitive ability in the topic of Least Common Multiple (LCM) and Greatest Common Divisor. The data collection was conducted through expert validation, observation, questionnaire, and test. The subjects of the study were the fifth grade students of SDN Kalitengah I Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo. The findings show good quality of the developed learning instruments. More specifically, the implementation of the teaching and learning process, student activity, students metacognition learning outcome, students metacognition response, and metacognition abilit are in good category. The students metacognition show better in awareness of planning, monitoring, and evaluating problem solving process during and after contextual based learning. Keywords: mathematics learning, metacognition, primary education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an open ended domica-based cards in improving creative thinking ability of elementary school students on the material fractions and find out the results of its development. The development was done by using Plomp model which consists of: (1) the initial Investigation, (2) design, (3) the realization/construction, (4) the testing, evaluation, and revision, (5) implementation. The research subjects at the the testing, evaluation, and revision phase is 38 6th grade students of SDN Kenongo 1 Tulangan Sidoarjo. While in the implementation phase, the ubject is 40 6th grade students SDN Kalitengah 1 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques use creative thinking tests, observation of students' creative thinking activities, questionnaires, and documentations. The results concluded that the open ended domica-based card to enhance the creativity of elementary school students produced two sets of cards in the material of common fraction and mixed fractions, as well as a set of cards consisting of whole fractions sub material (regular, percent, and decimal fractions), each of which contains 66 cards. Domica-based card open ended trial results good quality because it has met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to train the creativity of students in the aspect of flexibility, elaboration, and novelty.

Abstract

Hari pertama sekolah merupakan hari paling awal dan sangat bermanfaat dalam memulai kegiatan di sekolah bagi seorang siswa, namun saat ini banyak siswa yang datang pada hari pertama tanpa didampingi oleh orang tua. Padahal peran orang tua tidak kalah penting dengan guru pada hari pertama anak masuk sekolah. Datangnya orang tua pada hari pertama sekolah dapat menumbuhkan motivasi anak dalam belajar. Orang tua juga dapat membina komunikasi dengan pihak sekolah demi kelangsungan pendidikan anak. Selain itu, orang tua juga dapat memantau kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh sekolah. Untuk mendukung kegiatan orang tua yang penting pada hari pertama masuk sekolah bagi anak, pemerintah melalui kementerian pendidikan mengeluarkan sebuah surat edaran no 4 tahun 2016 tentang hari pertama sekolah. Meskipun dalam implementasinya, surat edaran ini mengalami pro dan kontra juga beberapa kendala, namun dengan dikeluarkannya surat edaran ini dapat membantu meringankan perijinan bagi orang tua agar dapat mengantar anaknya sekolah karena pada hari pertama sekolah perlu adanya peranan orang tua.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research and development is to obtain empirical findings about the development of Android-based Augmented Reality (AR) and measure the effectiveness of using AR to improve problem solving skills in learning 3D spatial modeling at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surabaya. The development model used is the ADDIE model. Based on the results of validation by material and media experts, it shows that Android-based AR is very good and feasible to be implemented in elementary school students. The average validation result of material experts and experts is 4.9. There is a significant effect between problem solving ability before being given AR treatment and after being given AR treatment. From the interpretation aspect it is 46.4%, the analysis aspect is 27.7%, the inference aspect is 37.9%, the evaluation aspect is 79.5%, the explanation aspect is 89.5%, and the self-regulation aspect is 31. ,5%. The results of research and product development can be categorized as very suitable for use in learning 3D spatial modeling.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan temuan empirik tentang pengembangan Augmented Reality (AR) berbasis android dan mengukur efektivitas penggunaan AR untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran pemodelan bangun ruang 3D di SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surabaya. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan media menunjukkan bahwa AR berbasis android sangat bagus dan layak untuk diimplementasikan pada siswa Sekolah Dasar. Rata-rata hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli sebesar 4.9. Terdapat pengaruh yang siginifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebelum diberi perlakuan AR dan sesudah diberi perlakuan AR. Ditinjau dari aspek interpretation sebesar 46,4%, aspek analysis sebesar 27,7%, aspek inference sebesar 37,9%, aspek evaluation sebesar 79,5%, aspek explanation sebesar 89,5%, dan pada aspek self-regulation sebesar 31,5%.  Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan produk dapat dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan pada pembelajaran pemodelan bangun ruang 3D.

Abstract

Traditional games can be used as a context to understand mathematical concepts. Many studies on learning trajectory (LT), which are set in the context of traditional games, have been carried out. However, no study focuses on using the context of the traditional kempreng game to facilitate primary students in understanding integer addition and subtraction. This research aims to design an LT through traditional game kempreng to help construct students' understanding and mathematical concepts through various activities that have been developed. This study uses design research with stages, namely preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. This study produces LT which consists of five activities, namely: consisting of calculating addition points through the kempreng context, calculating subtraction (difference) through the kempreng context, performing additional operations on the “same” kempreng card, performing subtraction operations on “different” kempreng, and determining the results of addition or subtraction operations of number cards with the opposing group. In this study, LT set in the traditional game of kempreng can be used as a context in preparing learning designs that could stimulate students thinking in understanding the mathematical concepts of integer addition and subtraction. The impact of the research design also occurs on teachers. Learning becomes a student center, the teacher as a facilitator. The results of this study can have implications as one of the considerations for using contexts with real and cultural backgrounds to reduce or build a meaningful understanding of the concept of integer addition and subtraction for primary students.

Abstract

Konsep matematika pada kehidupan sehari-hari biasanya hanya dilihat pada persoalan yang bersifat hitungan, namun sejatinya terdapat korelasi didalamnya. Matematika dan budaya adalah dua hal yang saling berhubungan. Oleh karena itu dalam memberikan pengajaran matematika, guru dapat meng-koneksikan pengetahuan matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari di kenal dengan istilah etnomatematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini  adalah untuk menggali dan mengeksplorasi konsep bangun datar di Sekolah Dasar pada struktur candi pari Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif pendekatan etnografi data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, studi literasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapat diharapkan sebagai sumber pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar serta sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan apa yang disebut etnomatematika. Hasil dari penelitin ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat konsep bangun datar pada struktur candi Pari, Sidoarjo. Struktur tersebut berbentuk persegi, persegi panjang, trapesium, dan segitiga. Konsep bangun datar terdapat pada dinding candi, pintu masuk, serta atap candi. Proses pembelajaran matematika dengan mengunakan objek etnomtematika diharapkan semakin mempermudah para siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika dari sesuatu yang konkret dan nyata.

Abstract

This study investigates the process of forming Anna’s visual and symbolic representations at each stage of the development of relational understanding in solving fractional problems. This study focuses on Anna (pseudonym), a 4th-grade elementary school student in Sidoarjo Regency. Anna possessed the complete process of forming visual and symbolic representations and is the only student who is able to provide logical arguments to support her answer. This research is qualitative in nature with a case study. The results were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. Results show the process of forming Anna’s visual and symbolic representations at each stage of the development of relational understanding in solving fractional problems. Anna has difficulty forming visual representations because she has weaknesses in the concept of fractional equations and fractional operations. This resulted in the process of forming symbolic representations and procedural knowledge that tends to be rote. These findings indicate that Anna developed a relational understanding, namely, a conceptual understanding of fractions. The process of forming a visual representation is the main basis before the formation of a symbolic representation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena banyak siswa yang memiliki indikasi cemas, tegang, dan takut pada saat pembelajaran matematika. Supaya indikasi ini menjadi jelas, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengungkapkannya. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan matematika dan faktor penyebab kecemasan matematika yang terjadi pada siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Penelitian ini menggunakan populasi seluruh siswa kelas V sebanyak 11 orang, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh populasi. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah kuisioner. Dari hasil uji coba 25 pernyataan dalam kuisioner diperoleh 15 pernyataan yang dinyatakan valid dan 10 pernyataan dinyatakan tidak valid. Koefesien reliabilitas adalah 0,904. Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan presentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecemasan matematika pada siswa kelas V termasuk dalam kategori kecemasan matematika pada tingkat yang sangat tinggi. Kecemasn ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti psikologis sebagai penyebabnya.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that has characteristics which different from other subjects. Mathematics subject mostly always splurging on numbers. This causes not all university students like this subject. Many university students are anxious when meeting or even more when teaching these subject. To find out more about the anxiety of students on mathematics, the researchers conducted a research to determine the anxiety that existed in the students while teaching mathematics subject. The method used in this research is qualitative, where in qualitative research is intended to explore the information that will be the basis of the design and detailed the specificity that exists in a unique context. The results of this study tells us if most PGSD student experience mathemathical anxiety when first teaching math.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the tik-tok application on the polite character of students in one of the Ibtidaiyah madrasas located in Sidoarjo Regency. The approach used in this research is qualitative with the type of case study research. The subjects in this study were high school students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah where the research took place. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that excessive use of the tik-tok application could have a negative impact on the student's character. This can be seen from the results of research which show that there are still many students who do not meet the indicators of good manners in behaving at school.
