Abstract

Technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including Islamic dawah. This article explores the integration of technology, especially social media and multimedia content, in efforts to improve accessibility and effectiveness of dawah. With the increasing number of internet and social media users, these platforms offer great opportunities for da’is to reach a wider and more diverse audience. The utilization of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube enables the delivery of Islamic messages quickly and interactively. Features such as comments, live streaming, and content sharing strengthen the engagement between da’is and the audience, creating a more dynamic and responsive dialogue. In addition, multimedia content such as video lectures, worship tutorials, and documentaries about Islamic history can attract the attention of young audiences, especially Gen Z, who are more familiar with digital formats. This research uses the netnography method with a case study approach. This research also highlights the importance of measuring the effectiveness of dawah through data analytics, which allows for the adjustment of strategies based on audience responses. The included case study demonstrates how Gus Iqdam and the Management of Majelis Ta’lim Sabilu_Taubah successfully integrated technology to expand their reach and increase the impact of their dawah. In conclusion, the integration of technology in dawah is an important step to address the challenges of the modern era and ensure that Islamic messages can be accessed and understood by a wide audience. Da’is are expected to continue to adopt and utilize technology to deliver dawah in a more relevant and effective manner.

Abstract

The principle of tawasuth or moderation in the Qur'an is one of the important teachings that directs Muslims to live a balanced life. Moderation is not only related to worship, but also includes property management, social behavior, and attitudes in religion. This study aims to examine the concept of tawasuth based on the interpretation of Tafsir Al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab on several verses that support this principle, namely Surah Al-Baqarah (2:143), Al-Furqan (25:67), and Luqman (31:19). Through a qualitative analysis approach, this study shows that tafsir Al-Misbah promotes the principle of moderation in practicing religion in a harmonious manner and is relevant for daily life. The conclusion of this study reveals that moderation is a key value that can prevent extremism and build a balanced and just society.

Abstract

This study explores the formulation of problems and the development of hypotheses in quantitative da'wah research through the integration of systematic and contextual approaches. In response to the growing complexity of Islamic communication in contemporary society, this research proposes a hybrid methodology that reinforces the relevance, precision, and impact of da'wah messages. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical method, the study synthesizes data from scholarly articles and empirical evidence to identify key components of problem formulation, including goal identification, condition mapping, and strategic selection, and connects them with culturally responsive hypothesis construction. The findings reveal that systematic approaches ensure methodological coherence and reproducibility, while contextual insights enhance cultural and social resonance. Together, they create a comprehensive framework for developing impactful hypotheses in da'wah research. This integrated strategy not only elevates the quality of Islamic discourse but also strengthens the alignment between da'wah messages and audience needs, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of religious communication in diverse societal settings.

Abstract

Intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism constitute not only serious threats to social cohesion but also reflect the failure to internalize humanitarian values through the education system. Within the context of Islamic education, the urgency to offer approaches that engage spiritual, cultural, and structural dimensions has become increasingly evident. This article aims to explore the contribution of Islamic education in preventing and mitigating tendencies toward intolerance through the integration of the feminine attributes of the Asmaul Husna, local wisdom, and the political will of policymakers. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using library research, based on a critical analysis of relevant literature in Islamic studies, the sociology of education, and public policy. The feminine attributes of God, such as compassion, gentleness, and forgiveness, are elaborated as ethical foundations for shaping inclusive and tolerant learner character. Local wisdom, as a reflection of community culture and spirituality, is examined as a social force capable of strengthening national identity and refining religious practices. Political will is understood as a structural reinforcing factor that determines the direction of educational policy in institutionalizing religious moderation. The article concludes that the synergy among these three dimensions constitutes a strategic framework for developing a transformative, peaceful, and contextually responsive model of Islamic education.
