Stunting can be caused by poor living environments, such as areas prone to flooding. Within this context, the Neuman Systems Model views the environment as a source of stressors that can affect the equilibrium of an individual's system. Therefore, this study aims to describe the spatial distribution of stunted children and the extent of flood hazards, as well as to explore their spatial correlation in Banjarmasin City, using the perspective of the Neuman Systems Model. This study employs a quantitative descriptive design with a retrospective approach, analyzing spatial and epidemiological data on stunting cases and projected flood hazards for the year 2025. Secondary data on the number of stunted children were obtained from the Banjarmasin City Health Office, while data on flood hazards were derived from the Mayor’s Regulation concerning flood disaster contingency planning. Both indicators were examined across the administrative districts of Banjarmasin City to illustrate variations in their distribution. The analysis reveals that the highest prevalence of stunting occurs in East Banjarmasin District (25.4%) and West Banjarmasin District (21.3%). Meanwhile, East Banjarmasin District accounts for the largest area of flood hazard, covering 3,833.50 hectares (39% of the city's total flood-hazard area), whereas West Banjarmasin District has a high-risk flood zone covering approximately 51% of its own total flood-hazard area. These findings indicate spatial variations in the distribution of stunting and flood hazards across the districts of Banjarmasin City. Such conditions suggest varying levels of vulnerability regarding children's health, which require priority attention. Integrating data on stunting and potential flood risks offers a method for identifying priority areas concerning children's health vulnerability. The Neuman Systems Model provides a framework for understanding the interaction between children's health status and environmental stressors, which can inform health planning, prevention, and emergency response efforts.
