Abstract

Educational management is increasingly expected to move beyond administrative compliance and become a strategic mechanism for improving student achievement. This study aims to examine how educational management strategies contribute to student achievement through instructional quality, collaborative teacher culture, and data-informed school improvement. A quantitative explanatory design is proposed, involving senior high school students and teachers selected through proportionate stratified sampling. Data are collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires, documentation of students’ academic records, and school-level quality assurance indicators. The analytical procedure combines descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability testing, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling to evaluate direct and indirect relationships among variables. The illustrative findings indicate that strategic educational management has a positive direct association with student achievement, while its stronger contribution emerges indirectly through instructional coherence, teacher collaboration, and a supportive learning climate. Contrary to established beliefs that student achievement is primarily shaped by classroom-level instructional factors, the proposed model suggests that school-level management capacity functions as an enabling architecture through which instructional improvement becomes systematic, measurable, and sustainable. This study fills the void by integrating instructional leadership theory with distributed leadership and social capital perspectives in one empirical framework. The implications highlight that school leaders should align planning, teacher professional development, learning assessment, stakeholder engagement, and continuous quality assurance as an integrated management strategy rather than fragmented programs. Future studies are encouraged to test the model using longitudinal data and multi-level analysis across different school contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

Learning in early childhood education remains largely teacher-centered and relies on limited learning media. This article presents the development of a loose parts–based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with the potential to enhance young children’s cognitive abilities and creativity. The model was developed in response to findings that early childhood education in Bengkulu City still emphasizes reading, writing, and arithmetic, with limited use of varied and open-ended learning materials. The study aimed to produce a loose parts–based PjBL model that is valid, practical, and feasible for early childhood learning. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. A limited trial involved 40 children, while a large-scale trial included 73 children from several PAUD units in Bengkulu City. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and performance assessments, and analyzed using a t-test. The results indicate that the final model consists of five learning phases and its implementation shows a tendency to improve children’s cognitive and creativity and is considered highly feasible and practical by teachers. This study contributes an applicable project-based learning model to support more child-centered early childhood education practices.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the immersive learning approach for early childhood at Pembina Tais State Kindergarten, Seluma Regency. The immersive learning approach emphasizes active child involvement, meaningful experiences, the development of creativity, and critical thinking skills. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers have implemented the principles of immersive learning, such as guiding children's exploration, encouraging reflection, and providing meaningful learning opportunities. However, challenges remain in the variety of learning media, time constraints, and classroom management. To address these challenges, improving teacher competency through training, providing more creative learning media, effective time management, and regular monitoring are essential to improve the quality of immersive learning and ensure optimal learning experiences for children.
