Abstract

The issue of clean water availability remains a significant challenge in rural areas, including Teluklada Village, Sobang District, Pandeglang Regency, where most residents rely on traditional water sources of poor quality. The water used by the community often has an unpleasant odor, turbidity, coarse particles, and mosquito larvae. The Community Service Program (KKM) 51 of Universitas Bina Bangsa, conducted from July 15 to August 7, 2025, aimed to implement biofilter technology as an appropriate solution to address this problem. This study is an applied research with a descriptive approach, utilizing direct observation, in-depth interviews, and brainstorming sessions with local residents and village officials. The implementation stages included site surveys, procurement of tools and materials, assembly, testing, and a result seminar. The biofilter employed natural filtration media consisting of activated carbon, silica sand, and coconut fiber, arranged vertically inside PVC pipes using a lateral-inlet-upflow system. The trial conducted at the KKM Post in Kampung Sadar RT 02/RW 02 showed a significant improvement in water quality: clearer appearance, reduced odor, absence of particles and larvae, and suitability for non-consumption purposes. Community response was highly positive, with requests for replication in other areas. However, limitations include the absence of laboratory testing for chemical and microbiological parameters and no trials on saline water sources. In conclusion, the biofilter technology proved to be effective, easy to construct, cost-efficient, and operable by the community independently, making it a potential model for sustainable clean water provision in rural areas.

Abstract

Leadership is the attitude and behavior to influence subordinates so that they can work together, forming a harmonious cooperation with considerations of efficiency and effectiveness to achieve the work productivity targets that have been set. This study aims to analyze the role of school principal leadership style in improving teacher performance at SD Islam Modern Darunnajah Serang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and administrative staff, as well as direct observation. The results indicate that the leadership style applied by the principal, particularly transformational and participative leadership styles, has a significant impact on improving teacher performance. These leadership styles foster increased motivation, commitment, and job satisfaction among teachers, which ultimately contributes to the improvement of the quality of teaching. Additionally, good communication and the provision of rewards to teachers also serve as supporting factors in enhancing their performance. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam konsep dan implementasi penjaminan mutu di Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) melalui kajian literatur. Penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai sumber tertulis seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, peraturan perundangan, dan dokumen kebijakan untuk mengidentifikasi prinsip dasar, dimensi, peran akreditasi, serta kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu PAUD. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penjaminan mutu di PAUD merupakan proses sistemik, terencana, dan berkelanjutan yang melibatkan dimensi input, proses, dan output. Akreditasi menjadi instrumen penting dalam menilai dan menjamin kualitas lembaga PAUD, sementara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berperan strategis dalam menggerakkan seluruh komponen lembaga untuk mencapai mutu yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan sistem penjaminan mutu yang efektif memerlukan penguatan evaluasi diri, peningkatan kompetensi kepala sekolah dan guru, optimalisasi teknologi informasi, serta sinergi antara berbagai pemangku kepentingan untuk mewujudkan layanan PAUD yang berkualitas dan relevan. Kata kunci: Penjaminan mutu, PAUD, kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Masalah penelitian ini berkaitan dengan peran dan pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Meskipun banyak studi yang menunjukkan pentingnya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, masih terdapat tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan peran tersebut, terutama dalam menghadapi dinamika pendidikan yang terus berkembang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis berbagai temuan penelitian terdahulu mengenai kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan dampaknya terhadap mutu pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review dengan pendekatan PRISMA, yang melibatkan pencarian dan seleksi literatur berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan penggunaan metode PICO untuk memastikan relevansi dan kualitas sumber data. Data dikumpulkan dari artikel ilmiah nasional yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025 melalui platform Google Scholar. Analisis dilakukan untuk mensintesis hasil-hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan fungsi, gaya kepemimpinan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki peran sentral sebagai manajer, supervisor, motivator, dan inovator yang mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. Kepemimpinan yang adaptif dan visioner terbukti efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan, termasuk masa pandemi. Namun, efektivitas kepemimpinan ini dipengaruhi oleh konteks sekolah, sumber daya, dan dukungan pemangku kepentingan. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan kapasitas kepala sekolah melalui pelatihan dan pembinaan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas kepemimpinan. Sebagai saran, penelitian selanjutnya disarankan menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dan studi longitudinal untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dan komprehensif. Selain itu, perlu adanya kajian yang memperhatikan konteks budaya dan sosial lokal serta integrasi teknologi dalam kepemimpinan pendidikan untuk mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the role of transformative leadership of school principals in improving teacher performance through literature studies. Transformative leadership is one approach that is considered effective in facing today's educational challenges, especially in creating an innovative, collaborative and adaptive work environment. This study uses a literature review method by tracing various sources such as books, journals, and relevant scientific articles, both those that have been published in print and online. From the results of the search, it was found that Principals who implement transformative leadership are able to increase teacher motivation, competence, and professionalism. The strategies used include providing motivation, awards, involving teachers in decision-making and providing ongoing training and professional development. In addition, transformative leadership also plays a role in building a positive organizational culture and supporting learning innovation. However, the implementation of transformative leadership also faces various challenges such as resistance to change and limited resources. Therefore, ongoing efforts are needed to strengthen the leadership competence of school principals and support from all education stakeholders. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for practitioners and education researchers in developing effective leadership models to improve the quality of education by improving teacher performance.

Abstract

Primary education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and abilities as a foundation for further development at higher levels of education. Therefore, it is essential to ensure the maintenance of education quality through various influencing factors, one of which is human resource management (HRM) and financial management. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of HRM and financial management on the assurance of education quality at Sepang State Elementary School in Serang District, with classroom management as a mediating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach that combines descriptive and causal designs to examine the relationships between the variables under study. The research sample consists of the school principal, teachers, and administrative staff at Sepang State Elementary School in Serang District. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires to the respondents, and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. The results indicate that optimal human resource management has a significant positive impact on improving the quality assurance of education, mediated by effective classroom management. Furthermore, good and well-planned financial management also plays a crucial role in supporting the improvement of education quality. Classroom management, as a mediating variable, strengthens the relationship between HRM, financial management, and education quality assurance. These findings emphasize that the quality of education greatly depends on the integration of internal school factors, including human resource management, financial management, and the quality of classroom management. This study provides practical contributions for schools and the government in formulating policies to improve education quality through good human resource management, transparent financial management, and the implementation of efficient and effective classroom management. Theoretically, this research also offers new insights into the development of educational management models at the elementary school level, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

Leadership style is one of the important factors in determining the direction and success of an organization, including in the context of education. Principals, as leaders in education units, have a strategic role in creating a conducive work climate, building collaboration, and improving the quality of education services. The study purpose to identify the principal's leadership style at SDIT Kasih Ananda and its implications for school organizational dynamics. Materials and methods: The research method used is a qualitative case study with structured observation instruments tested for validity and reliability through source triangulation techniques. Data were collected through direct observation using a standardized checklist and respondent confirmation.. Results: The results showed that the principal applied democratic and situational leadership styles. This style has a positive impact on teacher and staff participation, flexibility in decision-making, and an improved collaborative work climate at school. Conclusions: This study concludes that the principal of SDIT Kasih Ananda applies a democratic and situational leadership style, which has a positive impact on staff participation, decision-making flexibility, and a collaborative work climate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational quality assurance based on four main variables: quality planning, quality implementation, quality evaluation, and stakeholder satisfaction. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach involving 21 teachers and principals in the Sd Negeri Sepang. The results show that all four variables contribute significantly to the improvement of education quality. Systematic planning, consistent program implementation, periodic evaluation, and stakeholder satisfaction levels serve as indicators of success in building a quality culture within the educational environment. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating the four factors to achieve high-quality and sustainable education.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the effects of professional development and the principal leadership towards the teachers’ performance. This study is an expost facto study. The research sample consisted of 66 government employee teachers of Elementary School at Serang sub district was established using the simple random sampling technique. The data were collected by questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and partial correlation analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) The professional development influences teacher’s performance by t hitung > t tabel which is 7,066 > 2,000 with coefficient determination is 43,8%, and coeffiecient partial correlation 0,597. 2) The principal leadership influences on teacher’s performance by t hitung > t tabel which is 3,811 > 2,000 with coeffiecient determination is 18,5%, and coeffiecient partial correlation 0,285. 3) The professional development and principal leadership influence teacher’s performance by F hitung > Ftabel or 28,568 > 3,13, and coeffiecient determination is 47,6%. It means the professional development after certification and motivation by their leadership influence the increase of teacher’s performance.in learning activities. Thus, the increasing of teacher’s performance can be efforted with the professional development after certification and the increasing of principal leadership fungtion.

Abstract

Perubahan yang mendasar pada bidang digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, menggeser pola pembelajaran konvensional menuju pendekatan berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas integrasi teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran di kelas VIII SMPN 01 Cigeulis, Kabupaten Pandeglang. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian mencakup siswa dan guru kelas VIII, dengan fokus pada pengalaman, persepsi, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi teknologi pembelajaran seperti Learning Management System (LMS), video interaktif, dan kuis digital. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi digital berdampak positif terhadap motivasi, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran. Sebanyak 85% siswa merasa lebih termotivasi dan 78% lebih aktif dalam diskusi kelas. Guru juga mengalami kemudahan dalam pengelolaan materi, penilaian, dan pemberian umpan balik. Meskipun demikian, terdapat hambatan seperti keterbatasan jaringan internet dan keterampilan digital siswa yang belum merata. Di dalam penelitian ini tergambar bahwa perlunya menekankan tentang pentingnya kesiapan infrastruktur, kompetensi digital tenaga pendidik, serta dukungan institusional dalam menunjang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Temuan ini juga memperkuat pentingnya strategi pembelajaran yang kontekstual, fleksibel, dan partisipatif guna mendukung pencapaian kompetensi abad ke-21 seperti berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan literasi digital. Dengan pendekatan kolaboratif yang berkelanjutan, teknologi dapat menjadi sarana efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar mengajar di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama.
