Abstract

The farming community in Renah Kayu Embun Village utilizes land for farming to meet their daily needs. However, they face several obstacles, including weather conditions, land slopes, limited equipment, and long distances to market. This requires the community to adapt to the conditions it faces. This study aims to describe and explain the adaptation strategies employed by the farming community to survive the conditions they face. Data collection methods included interviews, observation, and documentation.The research results show that there are several adaptation strategies carried out by farming communities: First, adaptation strategies to the natural environment; (1) Digging a well, (2) making a water reservoir, (3) carrying out the tradition of sending rain. (4) Convert sloping land into steps. Second, adaptation strategies to tool limitations include (1) making sungkaik and coffee grinders and (2) Usoh as a traditional means of transportation. Some of the adaptation strategies carried out by farming communities are in the form of ideas, knowledge, and culture that are formed as a result of long interactions with the natural and social environment.

Abstract

This study examines the fulfillment of remission rights for correctional inmates at the Class I Palembang Correctional Institution (LPKA). The study aims to analyze the implementation of remissions and the obstacles encountered in their implementation. The study was conducted at the Class I Palembang Correctional Institution using empirical legal research methods and a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results indicate that the implementation of remissions is essentially in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections, Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, and Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 16 of 2023. However, its implementation still faces administrative obstacles, limited staff understanding of the latest regulations, and the suboptimal implementation of the Prisoner Development Assessment System (SPPN). Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of staff and optimize the development system so that the fulfillment of remission rights can be carried out more effectively and oriented towards the best interests of children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan nilai-nilai hak asasi manusia terhadap Keseharian Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Universitas Jambi Angkatan 2023. Hal ini berhubungan pula pada praktek keseharian mahasiswa Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Universitas Jambi Angkatan 2023 dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai hak asasi manusia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari informan utama yaitu mahasiswa PPKn Universitas Jambi angkatan 2023 dan informan kunci yaitu dosen pengampu mata kuliah Hukum dan HAM. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik non-probability sampling. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini nilai-nilai hak asasi manusia belum sepenuhnya diterapkan dalam keseharian mahasiswa, faktor yang mempengaruhi belum sepenuhnya nilai-nilai HAM diterapkan adalah berupa faktor internal yaitu dari diri mahasiswa yang merasa masih ragu, takut, tidak percaya diri, dan tidak percaya diri serta ketakutan sosial dalam diri mahasiswa. Sedangkan dari faktor eksternal yaitu budaya sosial, persepsi gender, praktik sosial yang kurang sehat serta pandangan pada budaya patriarki di lingkungan sosialnya. Dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan kepada mahasiswa hendaknya juga turut mengamalkan apa yang telah di dapat dalam perkuliahan dan menerapkannya di lingkungan sosial diluar dari pembelajaran akademik di kampus, sehingga teori dan penerapan mengenai nilai-nilai HAM lebih maksimal dalam praktiknya.
