Abstract

This study examines the fulfillment of remission rights for correctional inmates at the Class I Palembang Correctional Institution (LPKA). The study aims to analyze the implementation of remissions and the obstacles encountered in their implementation. The study was conducted at the Class I Palembang Correctional Institution using empirical legal research methods and a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results indicate that the implementation of remissions is essentially in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections, Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, and Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 16 of 2023. However, its implementation still faces administrative obstacles, limited staff understanding of the latest regulations, and the suboptimal implementation of the Prisoner Development Assessment System (SPPN). Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of staff and optimize the development system so that the fulfillment of remission rights can be carried out more effectively and oriented towards the best interests of children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya stigma negatif dan diskriminasi yang masih dihadapi masyarakat Suku Duano dalam kehidupannya. Meskipun mengalami stigma negatif atau diskriminasi, sebagai warga negara Indonesia masyarakat Suku Duano harus menerapkan sikap nasionalisme dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat dan bernegara. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sikap nasionalisme dan mengetahui faktor penghambat penerapan sikap nasionalisme pada masyarakat Suku Duano. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan case study research (studi kasus). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 1 Ketua Suku Duano, 1 perangkat kelurahan, 5 masyarakat, dan 1 anggota komunitas. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sikap nasionalisme tergolong sangat baik, terlihat dari rasa bangga sebagai bangsa Indonesia, cinta tanah air, kesetiakawanan sosial, toleransi, pelestarian budaya daerah, penerapan nilai kepahlawanan, serta sikap mengutamakan kepentingan umum dan menghormati orang yang lebih tua. Namun, terdapat faktor penghambat eksternal maupun internal seperti kurangnya peran orang tua, kondisi ekonomi, pengaruh teman sebaya, pekerjaan, perkembangan teknologi, rendahnya pendidikan, serta pengaruh lingkungan dan globalisasi.Kata Kunci: Nasionalisme, Masyarakat, Suku Duano

Abstract

This research was motivated by the high intensity of TikTok social media use among 2025 cohort students of the Civics Education Study Program (Prodi PPKn), FKIP, Universitas Jambi. Field phenomena revealed that excessive TikTok usage led to students delaying academic tasks, losing learning focus, managing time poorly, and covertly accessing the application during lectures. These issues indicated a decline in students' learning discipline in fulfilling their academic obligations. Based on these problems, this study aimed to analyze the implications of TikTok social media addiction on the learning discipline of these students based on their subjective experiences, as well as to identify the influencing factors within a social context. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative type. The research subjects involved the 2025 cohort students as primary informants, Civics Education lecturers as key informants, and 2024 cohort students as additional informants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques, which were subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results showed that TikTok addiction had negative implications for students' learning discipline, characterized by decreased study focus, procrastination, lack of learning regularity, and disrupted academic time management. Factors influencing TikTok addiction among these students included high duration of use, the influence of social environments and peer groups, boredom, the need for entertainment, and weak self-control in prioritizing academic activities.
