Abstract

This study aimed to explore the relationship between gender and family structure by providing specific nutritional interventions to children aged 6-23 months. The method used was analytical observational with a cross-sectional approach. The research results from chi-square analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the child's gender and family type and the provision of specific nutrition (p value <0.05). The majority of male children received positive specific nutrition, namely 52.2%, and girls received positive specific nutrition, namely 64.9%. The nuclear family type provided specific nutrition positively by 63.1% and the large family type provided specific nutrition negatively by 52.8%. In conclusion, the child's gender and family type have a significant influence on the provision of specific nutrition and nuclear families are more likely to provide better nutrition. Abstract

ABSTRAK Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal which results in morbidity and mortality. Hypertension is often referred to as the silent killer because it is deadly without being accompanied by its symptoms as a warning to its victims. With the Implementation of Community Service Activities it is hoped that the Lecturers of the Nursing Department of the Banjarmasin Ministry of Health Poltekkes can contribute to the community to improve health status, especially in the health sector of Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM). The implementation of Community Service Activities was carried out with 2 main activities starting with the first activity, namely the Implementation of Health Education about Hypertension once, followed by an evaluation in the form of distributing questionnaires to participants and providing opportunities to ask questions. In the second activity, namely Checking Blood Pressure in the Community. The targets of this activity consisted of 6 young women, 21 adult women, and 13 elderly women who are residents of the Sungai Tiung sub-district, RT. 32 Banjarbaru City. After counseling the PKM participants had good knowledge about hypertension as many as 30 people (75%) and there were still 10 people (25%) who had sufficient knowledge. Questionnaire question number 8 (hypertension always causes symptoms/complaints) received the most wrong answers from counseling participants (the community/mothers) as many as 36 people (90%) this means that people still think that hypertension always causes symptoms/complaints, so it is necessary to hold health promotion about hypertension which does not always cause symptoms, as well as motivating people to check their blood pressure regularly even if there are no symptoms.

Abstract

Based on data from the Ministry of Health, which was published by BNPB Public Relations, Tuesday (26/1/2021), the cumulative total of Corona cases in Indonesia is 1,012,350. Looking at the 1 million figure, the Minister of Health stated that the public and government must work hard to overcome the pandemic. In order to stop the transmission of Covid 19, the Indonesian government will also vaccinate the Indonesian population. Even though the vaccine has been given, other efforts continue to be made by health experts and the public to end the increase in the Covid-19 virus. In several countries including Indonesia, the government has made health guidelines and protocols to deal with the Covid-19 virus. The results of research conducted by Fauziah, E. et al. In 2021, in Sungai Tiung Village, data was obtained that some people had a positive perception of administering the Covid-19 vaccine, but from the questionnaire questions, many respondents answered incorrectly on matters relating to health protocols for preventing Covid-19. Based on the results of this research and given the importance of health protocols for preventing Covid-19, it is necessary to increase knowledge through health education to the public about health protocols for preventing Covid-19.

Abstract

The brain health of pregnant women is an important aspect that affects maternal well-being and fetal development. Knowledge about health checks, including BSE (Breast Self-Examination), and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy play a major role in maintaining the brain health of pregnant women. This community service aims to optimize the brain health of pregnant women through BSE education and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle with the Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) approach in the Assisted Village of the Tambarangan Health Center Area, Tapin Regency. The results showed that most pregnant women were aged 25-35 years (60.0%) and had little knowledge about BSE (60.0%). More worryingly, all pregnant women (100%) had never performed BSE. This low level of knowledge not only increases the risk of late detection of breast cancer, but can also trigger stress and anxiety that have a negative impact on the mental and brain health of pregnant women. Through the IPC approach, integrated education from various health professions (doctors, nurses, midwives, nutritionists, and psychologists) is carried out to improve the knowledge of pregnant women about BSE, stress management, and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle. This program helps pregnant women understand the importance of maintaining brain health by paying attention to nutritional intake, physical activity, and routine check-ups. This interprofessional collaboration plays an important role in integrating comprehensive promotive and preventive efforts, so that it can reduce the risk of physical and mental complications in pregnant women. These findings emphasize the importance of ongoing education and a holistic approach to improving the well-being of pregnant women in rural communities.

Abstract

Estimated Fetal Weight is one of the important indicators in monitoring fetal growth during pregnancy. In addition to biological factors, the health services received by pregnant women and BPJS membership classes are suspected to have influenced TBJ. This study aimed to analyze the effect of health service coverage and BPJS classes on TBJ in pregnant women. This study uses a cross-sectional design with a retrospective approach. Data was taken from the medical records of 152 pregnant women participating in BPJS who were treated at two regional hospitals in South Kalimantan during 2024. The variables analyzed included the mother's age, education, gestational age, BPJS class, and the number of service types received. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test and logistic regression. The results of the analysis showed that gestational age, parity, and BPJS class had a meaningful relationship with TBJ. From the logistic regression analysis, the level of education (p = 0.034; OR = 0.580) and gestational age (p = 0.020; OR = 0.577) had a significant effect on TBJ. Although not statistically significant, the type of service showed the highest odds ratio value (OR = 2.108), indicating that the more types of services received, the greater the chances of TBJ being in the normal category. TBJ is influenced by educational factors, gestational age, and BPJS classes attended by pregnant women. Improving the quality and equitable distribution of health services, especially for low-class BPJS participants, is very important to support optimal fetal growth.
