Abstract

Auditory hallucination is a primary form of sensory-perceptual distortion in patients with mental disorders that requires a safe, non-pharmacological approach through Beethoven's classical music therapy. This study aims to analyze the application of Beethoven's classical music therapy in reducing this sensory-perceptual distortion of auditory hallucinations. This research employed a descriptive method with a case study approach involving two subjects, Mr. S and Mr. A, at the Yayasan Islam Darul Iman At-Thorfiyah Karawang. Scheduled nursing interventions were carried out over three days, and the progression of symptoms was measured using the Auditory Hallucination Rating Scale (AHRS) instrument. The results of the study indicated a decrease in hallucination scores for both subjects. Mr. S's AHRS score, which was initially 19 (moderate category), decreased to 13 (moderate category), while Mr. A's score, initially 17 (moderate category), reached 12 (shifting from the moderate to mild category) and demonstrated an increased ability to control hallucinations. Consequently, Beethoven's classical music therapy is proven effective in reducing the intensity level of auditory hallucinations, and is therefore recommended as an applicable independent nursing care intervention in psychiatric rehabilitation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Anemia among adolescent girls remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia. One of the primary contributing factors is low adherence to iron (Fe) tablet consumption, which is influenced by inadequate knowledge regarding its benefits, proper consumption methods, and the health consequences of anemia. Health education using educational videos has emerged as an effective strategy to improve knowledge by delivering information in an engaging, easy-to-understand, and interactive manner. This community service program aimed to enhance adolescent girls' knowledge regarding iron (Fe) tablet consumption through health education using educational videos. This community service activity was conducted among adolescent girls at SMK Sehati, involving a total of 60 participants. The intervention consisted of health education using educational videos, followed by interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions. Participants' knowledge was evaluated using pre-test and post-test questionnaires administered before and after the intervention. Results: The findings demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' knowledge following the educational intervention. Before the intervention, 45 participants (75%) had good knowledge, while 15 participants (25%) had poor knowledge. After the intervention, the proportion of participants with good knowledge increased to 91.7%, whereas those with poor knowledge decreased to 8.3%. Statistical analysis revealed a **p-value of 0.000 (p 0.05)**, indicating a statistically significant improvement in participants' knowledge after the educational intervention. Health education using educational videos was proven to be effective in improving adolescent girls' knowledge regarding iron (Fe) tablet consumption as an effort to prevent anemia. Educational videos can serve as an effective alternative medium for health promotion programs in both school and community settings. Healthcare professionals and schools are encouraged to optimize the use of educational videos in adolescent health education programs and to implement continuous health education activities to improve adherence to iron (Fe) tablet consumption and reduce the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls. Keywords: Adolescent Girls, Anemia, Educational Video, Health Education, Iron (Fe) Tablets, Knowledge.
