<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the thinking of humanistic educationPaulo Freire and Ki Hadjar Dewantara and possible relevance in Islamiceducation through developed values. This research is a descriptiveanalytical literature research, using the method of documentation, andanalyzed critically-comparatively. This method is used to find out thethoughts of Paulo Freire and Ki Hadjar Dewantara's humanisticeducation, the differences and similarities of both, and how farhumanistic education has relevance to Islamic education. The results ofthis study indicate, there are some similarities and differences betweenthe thinking of humanistic education Paulo Freire and Ki HadjarDewantara. Some of the values that have been the pressure points of thethoughts of Paulo Freire and Ki Hadjar Dewantara that can be linked toIslamic education are: First, human values. Second, the value of equalityor equality. Third, all three want students to actively participate or takepart in the course of the teaching and learning process.]]>
