Sembalun Bumbung Village is a tourism area characterized by a relatively cool to cold highland environment. Meanwhile, local chicken production is still predominantly managed under traditional free-range systems, which are insufficient to meet the demand for chicken meat among local communities and the growing culinary activities in the area. Objective: To improve community knowledge and skills in intensive KUB chicken management adapted to the environmental conditions of Sembalun. Methods: The activity was conducted at the Sembalun Bumbung Village Office using extension, lectures, discussions, and experience-sharing methods. The topics covered KUB chickens, housing management, brooding, stocking density, feed and drinking water management, and biosecurity. Results: Participants actively engaged in the activity and discussions, particularly regarding DOC mortality, disease prevention, brooding management, and KUB chicken enterprise development. Participants also expressed interest in initiating intensive chicken farming and requested further assistance and follow-up guidance. Conclusion: The activity successfully increased community awareness and interest in developing KUB chickens under intensive management. Continued technical assistance is needed to support the adoption of appropriate husbandry practices, disease prevention and control, and sustainable development of KUB chicken enterprises in Sembalun Bumbung Village.
