Residents of Olung Siron Village experience difficulties in accessing reading resources and comfortable learning spaces, which may hinder the development of literacy skills, particularly among children and adolescents. This community service activity aimed to improve the literacy skills of the community by providing a reading corner and encouraging the development of daily reading habits. The implementation methods included observing community needs, providing and arranging the reading corner, curating appropriate reading materials, conducting training, and providing assistance in reading activities. The activity was carried out collaboratively with the Olung Siron Village community, involving children, adolescents, and local managers as the main participants. The results showed that the provision of a reading corner improved access to books and created a supportive learning environment. Joint reading activities and assistance also increased participants’ enthusiasm for reading, discussing, and utilizing reading materials as sources of information. The sustainability of the program requires regular management, periodic collection development, and active involvement from the community and village government. Thus, a reading corner can serve as an effective approach to improving literacy skills and building a reading culture in Olung Siron Village.
