Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a wide range of global sustainable development targets for the environment, society and economy and they were launched by the United Nations in 2015. In launching the SDGs, the United Nations called on all member states to embrace what are an ambitious and demanding set of challenges but it also emphasised the vital role that businesses, would have to play if these challenges were to be met. The aim of this preliminary commentary paper is to review a number of the ways the Information Communication and Technology industry believes it can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. The paper outlines the characteristics of the concept of sustainable development and how ICT relates to sustainable development, reviews a number of the ways two leading ICT companies, namely Ericsson and Microsoft and two industry bodies, namely the GSMA which represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative, believe they can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. The paper also examines some of the challenges the industry may face in making such a contribution and offers some reflections on the role of ICT in promoting the transition to a more sustainable future for people and the planet.

Abstract

Pemerintah melakukan Pengadaan Teknologi Informasi untuk mengakuisisi produk dan layanan Teknologi Informasi. Belanja TI pemerintah mengambil porsi signifikan dari anggaran pemerintah keseluruhan. Penerapan kebijakan Pengadaan Teknologi Informasi (IT Procurement Policy) yang baik perlu dilakukan untuk efisiensi anggaran dan efektivitas kegiatan pemerintah. Penelitian ini membandingkan kebijakan Pengadaan Teknologi Informasi di 3 (tiga) negara, yakni Indonesia, Australia, dan Singapura dengan mendasarkan pada prinsip kebijakan Pengadaan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Procurement) yang termuat dalam standar internasional ISO 20400. Prinsip yang termuat dalam ISO 20400 sustainable procurement antara lain adalah Akuntabilitas, Transparansi, Etika, Kepentingan Stakeholders (stakeholders interests), Respek terhadap Aturan Hukum dan Norma Internasional, Solusi Inovatif dan Transformatif, Fokus pada Kebutuhan, Integrasi, dan Global Cost. Hasil komparasi menunjukkan kesamaan dan perbedaan prinsip kebijakan Pengadaan Teknologi Informasi (IT Procurement Policy) di masing-masing negara. Prinsip-prinsip yang telah digunakan oleh negara Australia dan Singapura diadopsi untuk dapat diterapkan di levelkebijakan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Investasi TI yang sudah selesai diimplementasi sebaiknya diikuti dengan proses evaluasi.Evaluasi akan memberikan gambaran apakah investasi TI tersebut sudah mencapai target yangditentukan sebelumnya atau tidak, apakah investasi TI tersebut memberikan nilai gunaekonomis yang lebih baik daripada sebelum investasi tersebut dilakukan. Evaluasi yangdilakukan terhadap perangkat lunak Fixed Asset Management System di UniversitasConfidential menggunakan metode Return On Investment, Information Economics, dan CriticalSuccess Factor. Dengan adanya hasil evaluasi ini diharapkan pihak manajemen dapatmengetahui seberapa efektifnya investasi TI tersebut terhadap kinerja organisasinya.

Abstract

Every human being has equal right for accessing to the transportation. Difable persons that have different ability also have the same right. The provision of the accessibility and information facility in public transport is not fully meet difable need and therefore difable persons have difficulties in accessibility and information while using public transports. This research will investigate the difable perceptions about accessibility and traveler information for the public transport in Jakarta. Questionnaire method will be used for this purpose and then analyzed by Importance Performance Analysis. The improvement for the transport infrastructure and information system will be elaborated. The findings of the research could be used as input for the local authority while planning or re-construction public transport infrastructure and information system so that difable persons become more accessible and convenience. The study results show that the average value of the perceived performance for the accessibility is 2.78 from 5 scales. This means the performance of the accessibility in overall is fairly. For the information facility, the average performance is 3.11 that meaning the performance in overall is good. The respondents required the provision of waiting room for difable persons as a priority. The information about the departure of the vehicle should been improved as priority to be increased. Furthermore, it is obtained that the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) value for accessibility is 56%. This indicates the entire respondents satisfied sufficiently with the accessibility facility. Also, 62% of the CSI value shows that the respondents satisfied sufficiently with the provided information.

Abstract

Sejalan dengan kemajuan zaman, layanan di sektor kesehatan diharuskan untuk meningkatkan kualitas. Khususnya di kota Pekanbaru perlu ada sinergi antar berbagai unit seperti rumah sakit, puskesmas, klinik, klinik, dan apotek. Pengguna layanan tidak mengetahui secara jelas lokasi layanan medis di wilayah tersebut. Termasuk kualitas masing-masing. Hal ini disebabkan luasnya daerah perkotaan dan kurangnya akses terhadap informasi. Salah satu pilihan dalam mencapai target ini adalah dengan menggunakan dukungan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan mekanisme pengembangan perangkat lunak berbasis GIS (Sistem Informasi Geografis) yang dapat diakses pada sistem android untuk memperoleh informasi pelayanan medis. Pencapaian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan identifikasi awal, analisis dan perancangan sistem, pelaksanaan kegiatan. Identifikasi awal adalah untuk mengklasifikasikan jenis layanan medis dan posisi geografis mereka. Selanjutnya, kegiatan ini dilanjutkan dengan menganalisa kebutuhan sistem diikuti dengan pembuatan desain model aplikasi. Tahap selanjutnya adalah menerapkan hasil perancangan ke perangkat lunak. Keberadaan sistem aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah warga Pekanbaru dalam mendapatkan berbagai informasi yang berkaitan dengan lokasi pelayanan medis, jalur terpendek (jalur) untuk mencapainya, dan kualitas (tenaga medis, fasilitas, dan kenyamanan). Selain itu, aplikasi bisa diunduh secara gratis oleh publik. Kata kunci: GIS, Layanan Medis, Android

Abstract

This thesis is aimed to find out the improvement of students’ listening comprehension at the third grade of SMAN 1 Benteng Selayar in using Chart filling method. The researcher applied quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent controlled group design. The population of this research was the third grade of SMAN 1 Benteng, which consisted of 296 students. The research subject was the first semester students of III IPA 1 and III IPA 2. The researcher chose 40 students as a sample of the research with 20 students as experimental class and 20 students as control class that selected by using purposive sampling technique.There were two research variables: Independent variable and Dependent variable. The independent variable of this research was Chart filling method. On the other hand, students’ listening comprehension was dependent variable. The result of the data analysis indicated that there was a significant improvement in the students’ listening comprehension after being taught using Chart filling method as a listening method. It was proved by the result of the statistical analysis of the level significance P = 0.05 with degree of freedom (df)=38 indicated that the t-test values of the students’ listening comprehension (5.28) was greater than t-table (2.086). Based on the finding and discussion of the research, the researcher suggested that Chart filling was able use in teaching students’ listening comprehension. And the researcher concluded that Chart filling method was effective to improve students’ listening comprehension at the third grade of SMAN 1 Benteng, Selayar.

Abstract

Information technology  governance is used to guide and control an organization in achieving the goals that had been planned in advance. PT DEF is a company which utilises information technology to support its business processes. Nevertheless,  it indeed  requires an IT governance that can be beneficial as a reference for IT activities in order to run properly. This research intends to conduct an audit of information technology governance based on the COBIT 5 framework domain, which is  DSS (Deliver, Service, and Support) domain in the process of DSS03 (Manage Problems). According to the research results, the values that have been obtained from the process of DSS03 capability level was 64.66%, that is regarded as Partially Achieved. Capability level will be used as a reference in seeking gap contained in the domain of DSS03 process. Furthermore, these would be able to make recommendations aimed at increasing the value of the expected maturity. This research contributes to the evaluation results and recommendations to improve the capability level on the DSS03 domain, hence  PT DEF can upgrade its IT governance by using DSS03 process.

Abstract

Abstract. Internet becomes critical infrastructure in the distribution of information. The information is used for decision making and ensure the success of human activities. However, the distribution of information in rural Indonesia is inconvenient, because the digital communication infrastructure (internet) doesn’t cover all areas in Indonesia. This problem causes the digital divide in Indonesia. This study proposes communications infrastructure and data transfer mechanism or media sharing that can be applied to a variety of rural areas conditions in Indonesia, which has limited communications infrastructure. The approach is to build low power digital carrier devices in the form of minicomputer and utilize Delay or Disruptions Tolerant Network (DTN) architecture. Testing results in the digital carrier node show that the data is successfully delivered. Keywords: Rural Area, Mini-PC, Delay Tolerant Network

Abstract

Abstract.Utilization of information technology in the field of public transportation has been proven in improving the quality of public transportation services. The availability of information technology that supports public transportation in Malang city is still limited. An effort is required to encourage the availability of information technology that support public transportation in Malang city. This research attempts to propose a draft proposal of REST API designed for supporting information about public transportation services in Malang city. The result of this research showed that the REST API should provide a search facility to find proper service mode of transportation, cost estimation, time estimation, calling or booking a public transportation, a list of all the modes of transportation that exist, as well as detailed information on a mode of transport in which includes the name of public transportation, index of comfortability, index of security, index of safety, index of privacy, index of availability, index of accessibility index, and route.Keywords: Transportation, Public Transportation, API, REST, Service-Oriented Architecture, Web Service.

Abstract

XYZ Bank is a banking company with head office in Jakarta. The employment service business process for leave, overtime, and update of employee data at Bank XYZ still rely on paper based, so that the HC area unit (Human Capital) must manually input recap data into SAP (Employee Administration System). HC area unit employees will be particularly vulnerable to input errors that can be fatal for employee salary calculations. The implementation of paper based on some activities of leave, overtime, and data update also cause the process runs less efficient and effective so that the processing time becomes longer. The method used in doing business process improvement refers to the framework of ITIL v3 domain service design. The result of the business process improvement of XYZ staffing service business for leave is an average time acceleration of 58.11 minutes due to loss of PIC (Person in Charge) activity in requesting and submitting the leave leave form, as well as equalization of utilization to superiors, employees and HC area due to loss of role PIC and courier. In the employee overtime business process, the average acceleration time of 370.98 minutes due to loss of PIC's role in manual recording, as well as equitable distribution of employers, officers, and HC areas due to loss of PIC and messenger role. In the business process update employee data there is an acceleration of 22.6 minutes due to loss of activity provide the form and input employee data, and there is a change in resource utilization percentage due to reduced HC area activity.
