Abstract

Attention to integrate technology in teaching and learning has provided a major transformation in the landscape of education. Therefore, many innovations in teaching and learning have been technology-driven. The study attempted to examine what is engineering students’ perception regarding the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in mathematics learning as well as investigate their opinion about how ICT can be integrated to improve teaching and learning processes. The subjects were Iranian engineering students from two universities. The finding showed they are fully aware of importance of ICT in teaching and learning mathematics. Whilst, they were feeling comfortable and confident with technology, they do not have more experience of using technology in mathematics classes before. The findings supported the other studies, which indicated the potentials of ICT to facilitate students’ learning, improve teaching, and enhance institutional administration as established in the literature.Keywords: Technology, Mathematics Learning, Facebook, Attitude Toward ICT DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jme.5.2.1498.138-147

Abstract

Information literacy is mostly seen from the perspective of library science or information and communication technology. Taking another point of view, this study was aimed to explore students' information literacy from the perspective of mathematical literacy. For this purpose, a test addressing Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) mathematics tasks were administered to 381 eighth and ninth graders from nine junior high schools in the Province of Yogyakarta. PISA mathematics tasks which were used in this test had specific characteristics regarding information processing, i.e. containing superfluous information, having missing information, and requiring connection across information sources. An error analysis was performed to analyze students’ incorrect responses. The result of this study shows that students did not acquire three characteristics of information literacy; i.e. recognizing information needs, locating and evaluating the quality of information, and making effective and ethical use of information. This result indicates students' low ability in information literacy.Keywords: information literacy, mathematical literacy, Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)

Abstract

This article has objective to describe information content of dividend policy, especially to foretell earnings growth. It has been oberved that an increase in the price of a stock, while a dividend cut generally leads to a stock price decline. However, many market observers point to the very high fraction of earnings retained (or low dividend payout ratio) as a sign that future earnings growth will be well above historical norm. In the real world, many complications exist that could confound the expected inverse relationship between current payouts and future earnings growth.Keywords: dividend policy, earnings growth, payout ratio

Abstract

Learning library as the implementation of user education programs. Elementary school, school to school instead of working. Because students will go to school, then it should have the power to learn good. Before the entrance pupil at the level of information literacy, fundamental thing that is important implanted student interests and reading culture since the early entry into the system. The school library should be made good. Furthermore, to form a good reading habit can through the library learning program called "Know Reader". The goal, first technically skilled students know the information and to sort and select information in the library; secondly, to safeguard the assets of the library; Third, condition the students read and used to reading. Including the value of learning libraries into the local curriculum includes a written assessment report cards of students, exhibition of books in the school library every week, an award for academicians who borrowed the most books every month, tells the story hanging way, it makes the students love to read. At the elementary school level which would be built three, first learning culture, both learning skills, and the three basic skills that can be achieved through daily habituation.Pembelajaran perpustakaan sebagai implementasi dari program pendidikan pemakai. Sekolah Dasar, sekolah untuk sekolah bukan bekerja. Karena murid akan melanjutkan sekolah, maka harus mempunyai daya belajar yang baik. Sebelum murid masuk pada tingkat melek informasi, hal mendasar yang penting ditanamkan yaitu minat dan budaya baca murid sejak dini yang masuk ke dalam sistem. Perpustakaan sekolah harus dibuat bagus. Selanjutnya, untuk membentuk minat baca yang baik dapat melalui program pembelajaran perpustakaan bernama "Kenal Pustaka". Sasarannya, pertama secara teknis murid mengetahui informasi dan terampil memilah serta memilih informasi di perpustakaan; kedua, dapat menjaga aset perpustakaan; ketiga, mengondisikan para murid membaca dan terbiasa membaca. Memasukkan nilai pembelajaran perpustakaan ke dalam kurikulum muatan lokal termasuk penilaian tertulis dalam raport murid, pameran buku di perpustakaan sekolah setiap minggu, penghargaan bagi sivitas akademika yang meminjam buku terbanyak setiap bulannya, berkisah dengan cara menggantung ceritanya, semua itu membuat murid gemar membaca. Pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar yang hendak dibangun ada tiga, pertama budaya belajar, kedua keterampilan belajar, dan ketiga keterampilan dasar yang dapat dicapai melalui pembiasaan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Tingkat kelulusan mahasiswa merupakan hal sangat penting untuk prestise suatu perguruan tinggi, tingkat kelulusan mahasiswa juga berpengaruh terhadap nilai akreditasi suatu perguruan tinggi itu sendiri, oleh karna itu penelitian tentang prediksi kelulusan menjadi hal yang sangat menarik untuk diteliti, dalam penelitian ini peneliti mencoba mengkomparasikan 2 algoritma yaitu algoritma klasifikasi Naïve Bayes dan algoritma Fitur Selection Information Gain untuk memperoleh hasil akurasi nilai tertinggi dan hasil AUC yang tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan tahap pengolahan dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu: metode yang hanya menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes,dan metode yang mengkomparasikan dua algoritma yaitu algoritma Naïve Bayes dan algoritma Fitur Selection Information Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai akurasi tertinggi diperoleh dengan metode yang menggabungkan antara algoritma Naïve Bayes dan algoritma Fitur Selection Information Gain dengan memperoleh nilai hingga 89,79 % untuk penggunaan 3 atribut, dan peningkatan AUC meningkat dengan 3 atribut. Kata Kunci: Prediksi kelulusan, naïve bayes, Fitur Selection Information Gain.

Abstract

IT Service Management adalah salah satu cara untuk mengelola layanan teknologi informasi. Layanan teknologi perlu dikelola dengan baik untuk mendapatkan output dalam bentuk informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh manajemen. Untuk meningkatkan layanan teknologi informasi untuk lebih baik, diperlukan audit meliputi audit layanan teknologi informasi. Audit layanan teknologi informasi dilakukan untuk menentukan kelayakan teknologi informasi denngan terkait, dalam hal ini penulis berfokus pada isu-isu keamanan teknologi informasi. Audit keamanan teknologi informasi dibuat untuk menentukan tingkat keamanan untuk layanan teknologi informasi, sejauh mana informasi tersebut bisa sampai kepada yang berhak menerima, apakah informasi tersebut benar-benar tersedia, apakah informasi tersebut bersifat rahasia. Untuk dapat mengukur tingkat keamanan layanan teknologi informasi, penulis memilih untuk menggunakan metode Information Technology Infrastructure Library Versi 3 (ITIL V3). ITIL adalah set yang terdiri dari Layanan Strategi, Jasa Desain, Jasa Transisi, Layanan Operasi, dan terus-menerus Peningkatan Pelayanan. Dalam hal ini penulis berfokus pada layanan desain pada bagian dari manajemen keamanan informasi, pada bagian ini menjelaskan bagaimana layanan dikatakan baik jika memenuhi 8 poin yang telah distandarisasi secara internasional.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This paper concerns the Mood Analysis on My Secret War, a Diary written by Marry Pope Osborne. This analysis aims at: 1) identifying the Mood Structures realized in the diary and 2) describing the Finite verbal operators used in the text. The data was collected by using documentary method. The data analysis was done by a) “coping down” sentences into clauses, b) identified the Subject and the Finite to find out the Mood structure and c) identified the Residue. From the analysis, it was found that the types of Mood in the text mostly use declarative mood and the Finite verbal operators used in the text are mostly past temporal operators. Abstract

The Service Innovation perspective is important for organization because it's necessary to make a sustainable business operation in the future.In the context of implementation of Technology Information, the perspective of Service Innovation is also important. This phenomenon has also occure to PT.KAI in their effort to change in development of Technology Information System facilities in their busines process. The purpose of this study is to understand the role of Service Innovation perspective driving in the implementation of Technology Information System (TIS) in organization of services and To understand how should have PT.KAI do to maintain and enhance the level of success in implementation of TIS facilities specific online ticketing base on the perspective of Service Innovation. In the process of developing a Service Innovation through implementation of TIS facilities, an organization must follow the base on theory Success IT adoption in Service Organization. Research Design base on qualitative research; interview and FGD are conducted to people who have passionate with train’s services by PT.KAI. The result from the empirical study showed there were several problems occurred although there are many improvements as well in the implementation of TIS facilities specific online ticketing by PT.KAI.

Abstract

Desa Taman Sari in Banyuwangi has a tremendous potential in the development of SMEs processed products. However, SMEs in this village are not optimal, especially from the aspect of marketing their products. They need strategies in the marketing of SME products in competitive era. Information technology plays an important role in marketing products of SMEs. The purpose of this study are to design system based on marketing information online. This study uses the exploratory method. Model design using flowcharts, diagram context, and entity relationship diagrams. Stages of analysis carried out by the flow of input, process and output. The results of the marketing information system design can manage sales reports, product, pricing, and marketing strategies of SME products, and the competitive advantage of SMEs can be achieved.
