Abstract

With the rapid advancement of technology, the surrounding environment must adapt to these developments. This can be seen in the industrial sector, which is starting to adopt information systems to support its activities. However, this adaptation is not uniform, and some areas have yet to adopt information systems to support their operations, such as at PT. Diansurya Global, particularly in the General Affairs Division. In this division, all activities are conducted traditionally, such as managing vehicle orders, monitoring the availability of drivers and vehicles, and storing vehicle data, which is still in hardcopy format. Therefore, a monitoring information system is needed to assist the activities in the General Affairs Division. PT. Diansurya Global is a company that produces and exports metal equipment. Consequently, a monitoring information system is designed to provide real-time information on the availability of drivers and vehicles, which accelerates the determination of routes and delivery schedules. Additionally, this system can also assist other divisions in placing operational vehicle orders, thus preventing duplicate or uncommunicated orders due to the documentation within the system. System testing is conducted using the user acceptance testing method to ensure that the features meet user needs. This monitoring information system can also be used to store information such as vehicle administration data, including payment history for administrative costs and maintenance history for operational vehicles.

Abstract

The management and maintenance of irrigation unit data are still conducted manually, leading to inefficiencies in record-keeping, data retrieval, and asset monitoring. The absence of a structured digital system makes it difficult to track the location, specifications, history, and condition of irrigation units, which affects operational efficiency. To address this issue, a QR Code-based information system was developed to provide quick and accurate access to irrigation unit data. This system was developed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology with the Waterfall model, ensuring a structured and systematic approach in each development phase, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Various software tools such as Sublime Text 3, XAMPP Control Panel v3.2.2, and Google Chrome were used to support system development, while QR Code scanning was integrated through mobile devices for ease of access. The system was tested using the black box method to evaluate its functionality and performance. The results showed that the system effectively displays irrigation unit information through QR Code scanning. The maximum readable QR Code size is 10 cm² with an optimal scanning distance of up to 50 cm. The system functions reliably under various lighting conditions, except when the QR Code is significantly folded or scratched, which affects readability. This research demonstrates that a QR Code-based information system can improve efficiency in irrigation unit management by providing real-time, accessible, and structured data. Future enhancements may include additional features such as location mapping and automated reporting for maintenance and issue tracking.

Abstract

Climate change is a serious threat to human safety and health. Pro-environmental behavior can avoid more serious risks and harm. Pro-environmental behavior is influenced by information, fear, and risk perceptions. As future educators, planners, and policymakers, it is critical to understand the factors influencing students' pro-environmental behavior. This study, therefore, aims to examine the factors influencing students' pro-environmental behavior based on the Protection Motivation Theory. A 77-item questionnaire was completed by 415 students from the Faculty of Arts and Languages, Science, and Education, randomly selected using the cluster sampling method in their last lecture class. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling showed that information, fear, and risk perception (reward, perceived severity, and perceived vulnerability) are both directly and indirectly mediated by motivation. In addition, the research identified the indirect and negligible effects of various protection motivation theory factors, including cost, responseefficacy, and self-efficiency. Further, an unexpected finding determines that pro-environmental behavior was unrelated to demographic and socioeconomic background. Overall, the study's outcomes offer recommendations to socialize the risks climate change better causes to human health and safety, increasing fear and risk perceptions that may improve pro-environmental behavior. Additionally, stricter environmental behavior regulations are needed to penalize polluters and stop rewarding maladaptive behaviors.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of information consumption from social media on the improvement of students' academic literacy. Academic literacy is an important skill for students in understanding, analyzing, and critically utilizing scientific information. However, the low level of academic literacy in Indonesia has become a serious concern, especially in the digital era where social media has become the main source of information. This research uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques in the form of surveys among students. The research results indicate that the consumption of information from social media has both positive and negative impacts on academic literacy. Social media facilitates access to academic information, but it also has the potential to lower the quality of literacy due to the dominance of unverified information. This research provides strategic recommendations to enhance students' academic literacy, such as the wise use of social media and strengthening fact-checking skills. These findings are expected to help higher education institutions design policies that support the development of students' academic literacy in the digital era.

Abstract

Background: Data from 2023 shows that around 39.9 million people in the world are living with HIV. East Java Province is in second place with 77,447 cases of people living with HIV/AIDS in 2022. People with HIV (PLHIV) need social support for treatment, care, and building resilience. Without this support, they are at risk of experiencing declining health, difficulty accessing care, loss of enthusiasm, and feelings of helplessness. Methods: This activity was carried out using the Information, Motivation, Behavioral Skills (IMB) Model approach through counseling by two expert speakers. Supporting media in the form of pocket books were also distributed to participants. The activity was carried out on August 3, 2024, targeting peer supporters from the Mahameru Foundation, Malang City branch and representatives of field outreach from Malang City and Regency. The evaluation was carried out by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test of the participants. Results: There was an increase in the average pre-test and post-test scores of 13 points. Paired T-Test showed a significant difference between the average pre-test and post-test scores after being given education (p=0.006). The T-test results showed that T count was greater than T table, indicating a significant difference. Conclusions: This counseling program successfully increased participants' knowledge about handling HIV/AIDS and effective communication with PLHIV. To strengthen the role of peer supporters, additional training such as Psychological First Aid is needed to improve skills in providing appropriate emotional support.
