Abstract

This paper aimed to assess the level of Information and Communication Technology Proficiency among BSOA students, as well as the potential barriers that affected their ICT skills, including hardware operations, software processing, information management, digital communication, and data security and privacy. Additionally, it proposed an intervention program to enhance the Information and Communication Technology proficiency of BSOA students. One hundred twelve (112) 2nd to 4th-year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges - Buhi Campus were systematically chosen to serve as the respondents. The Descriptive Method was used to attain the objectives. The instrument used in this study was a research-made survey questionnaire for data collection and was interpreted using a weighted mean. The findings revealed that BSOA students' ICT proficiency demonstrates a mixed landscape and exhibits a consistent trend of moderate proficiency in ICT aspects, specifically in hardware operations, software processing, information management, digital communication, and data security and privacy.

Abstract

This paper presents a conceptual model that investigates the influence of Management Information System (MIS) implementation on organizational behavior, with a focus on the mediating roles of communication, job satisfaction, and leadership. As organizations increasingly rely on digital systems to streamline operations, understanding the human behavioral impacts of such systems becomes essential. This study posits that MIS alone does not guarantee improved organizational performance unless it is accompanied by effective internal communication, motivated and satisfied employees, and visionary leadership. By reviewing and synthesizing findings from existing literature, the model illustrates how these three mediating factors enable the successful translation of MIS capabilities into positive employee attitudes, productive interpersonal interactions, and enhanced organizational cohesion. The paper adopts a literature-based conceptual approach, offering a comprehensive theoretical framework that bridges technology and behavior. It aims to guide future empirical research by highlighting key behavioral variables that influence the success of MIS integration. The findings underscore the importance of aligning technological change with organizational culture and human capital strategies. This model serves not only as a foundation for scholarly inquiry but also as a practical reference for managers and policymakers aiming to maximize the behavioral and operational benefits of MIS implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Web Government-based Village Potential Information Governance in Agung Timur Village. The findings indicate that the system has improved transparency, administrative efficiency, and information accessibility for the local community. The use of information technology has accelerated accurate and structured data collection of village potentials while encouraging active community participation in development. However, challenges remain in terms of limited internet infrastructure and the digital literacy of village officials. Referring to previous studies, this implementation is considered successful, although continuous improvement in human resources and infrastructure support is necessary to ensure optimal and sustainable system performance.

Abstract

In an era of complex disruption, information technology plays a critical role in improving supply chain performance through operational transparency, efficiency, and collaboration between partners. This study aims to explore the impact of IT on supply chain performance, focusing on technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and cloud-based platforms. A systematic literature review method was used to analyze data from relevant journals, with inclusion criteria including articles discussing the impact of IT on key performance indicators, such as supply chain flexibility, innovation, and resilience. The results showed that IT implementation provides significant benefits, including reducing inventory management errors by up to 30%, improving response to disruptions, and distribution efficiency. IT also supports collaboration through real-time information sharing, which drives product and process innovation. However, challenges such as high investment requirements, technology skills gaps, and data security risks remain major barriers to its implementation. A phased adoption strategy and intensive training for human resources are recommended to overcome these barriers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in management information systems in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises through a literature review approach. The research method used is a systematic search by reviewing relevant journals published between 2020 and 2024, then five articles were selected to be reviewed. The articles used discuss various aspects of IoT implementation in MSMEs in various ways. The results of the study show that the implementation of IoT provides significant benefits for MSMEs, such as operational cost savings, optimization of resource use, and increased digital connectivity that helps MSMEs reach a wider and more competitive market. However, there are several major obstacles in the implementation of IoT, including high initial costs, limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy, and issues of risk, security and data confidentiality that need to be addressed properly. This study recommends the need for support from the government, technology providers, and training institutions in the form of subsidies, capacity building programs, and digital infrastructure development. The implications of this study provide important insights for policy makers, academics, and business actors to design sustainable and relevant digital transformation strategies for MSMEs in the global era.

Abstract

This research aims to examine whether the publication of financial statements in XBRL format could reduce the level of information asymmetry, measured by the bid-ask spread, in Indonesia’s capital market over eight years of its implementation. Furthermore, this research examines differences in the level of information asymmetry in two observation periods, which are the early stage and the advanced stage of the XBRL implementation. The population in this study are listed companies on the IDX80 index which were sampled using the purposive method. The analytical instrument used is a panel data regression test using a random effect model and the non-parametric Wilcoxon test of statistical differences. Consistent with similar studies, the results show that the publication of financial reports in XBRL format could reduce the level of information asymmetry by providing accurate, integrated, and universally accessible reporting. The difference test further reveals that the level of information asymmetry is lower in the advanced stages compared to the early stages. This suggest that XBRL implementation becomes more effective over time due to the positive developments in institutional readiness and stakeholder facilitation.

Abstract

Information security awareness (ISA) is crucial to an organization's cybersecurity strategy, particularly since employees are often the last defense against cyberattacks. Despite regular communication on cybersecurity threats, the ABC Agency has not evaluated the level of ISA among its employees, leaving a gap in understanding the effectiveness of its awareness programs. This is critical, as the agency handles highly confidential data that could be at risk of accidental or intentional leaks. The Kruger Approach and the Human Aspect of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) were used in this study to measure the ISA levels of employees at the ABC Agency. We employed the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to analyze data collected from 86 respondents. The findings indicate that ABC Agency employees demonstrate satisfactory ISA overall. However, the "Internet Use" dimension received a medium rating, underscoring the necessity for focused enhancements in this domain. These results underscore the importance of tailoring information security awareness programs to address specific weaknesses. We provide strategic recommendations to enhance the agency's cybersecurity posture. Furthermore, this study opens avenues for future research on ISA measurement across various public and private organizations.

Abstract

Data collection for toddlers and pregnant women using an Android-based application can help in early handling of health problems, especially for toddlers and pregnant women. Early detection and treatment of health problems for toddlers and pregnant women is important to minimize the occurrence of errors in data collection and handling. Dependence on the presence of a village midwife is very high, especially for toddlers and pregnant women. One of them is a problem which occurs in the information system for data collection for toddlers and pregnant women which is still manual in inputting the data, so it is not efficient and has to input data for toddlers and pregnant women one by one and this is very time consuming. Based on this, the researcher provides a solution to the village apparatus so that the information system is more adequate by developing an android-based application for data collection information for toddlers and pregnant women. This data collection research uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method so that the results can be more accurate. Researcher has developed an easy system for users to search for data on toddlers and pregnant women, so that it is easier without having to search one by one, and users can also delete or add data easily.
