Abstract

This study aims to enhance security and efficiency in the digital distribution of salary slips within the XYZ Higher Education environment. The proposed method combines hybrid encryption using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-128) and Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA) algorithms, as well as integrates Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) for two-factor authentication. This approach ensures the confidentiality of sensitive data while minimizing the potential for data leakage or unauthorized access to employee salary information. In its implementation, the system is designed using the Laravel framework and the Scrum software development methodology, enabling an iterative, measurable, and easily adaptable development process. Testing results indicate that the system can distribute salary slips with an average data encryption time of 0.15 milliseconds per slip (using AES-128), and an average AES key decryption time with RSA of 5 milliseconds per operation over 100 test iterations. Furthermore, when two-factor authentication (TOTP) was applied, the rate of unauthorized access attempts dropped to 0% across 50 brute force attack simulation attempts. Thus, the hybrid encryption approach is proven effective in maintaining data integrity, and the integration of TOTP enhances user authentication security. These quantitative findings establish the system as a more measurable reference model for other institutions seeking to manage sensitive data securely, efficiently, and reliably.

Abstract

In the digital era, property sales face significant challenges such as lengthy processes, involvement of multiple intermediaries, and lack of ownership transparency. This study aims to create a prototype property transaction system that utilizes blockchain technology, integrated with smart contracts, a Node.js backend, and a MySQL database. The system is simulated with Ganache as a local network to test the decentralized and secure data storage of transactions. The research methods include simulation and direct observation, as well as functional testing and performance evaluation using a black box testing approach to ensure the reliability and efficiency of each system component. Test results show a functional success rate of 100% from 14 test scenarios. Based on these findings, the system has been proven to validly record transactions, avoid double transactions, and maintain data integrity. Smart contract technology can partly replace notary functions digitally, while blockchain serves as a means of secure and immutable transaction storage. Therefore, this system can enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in property transaction processes and make a significant contribution to the digitalization of the real estate sector.

Abstract

Public satisfaction assessment of legal services is an important indicator for improving the quality of public service. The Tapaktuan District Attorney’s Office requires a system that can measure public satisfaction objectively and systematically. This study aims to design and develop an information system for evaluating legal service satisfaction using the Rating Scale and Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) methods. The rating scale is used to assign scores to five criteria: service speed, service friendliness, staff competency, report handling process, and facility comfort. The assessment results are then analyzed using MAUT to obtain overall satisfaction rankings. The system is developed as a web-based application for easy access by staff and the public. Respondent samples are selected proportionally and representatively, including the general public, complainants/defendants, witnesses, lawyers, and employees who have received legal services, using accidental sampling during the survey period, with 30 respondents to ensure data representativeness. From five criteria, three alternatives, and 30 respondent samples, the final score obtained is 4.51, indicating a “very satisfied” level for Case Reporting Services. This system is expected to assist the Tapaktuan District Attorney’s Office in evaluating and improving the quality of legal services consistently.

Abstract

Land degradation can be characterized by a decrease in soil productivity. Jember Regency has the potential to develop food crop commodities. A decrease in soil productivity can be caused by a decrease in soil fertility. The study aims to look at the index and distribution of soil fertility in rice fields in southern Jember. The SFI (soil fertility index) technique was utilized in this study to calculate the soil fertility index. SFI is broken down into multiple parts, including calculating the Minimum Soil Fertility Index (MSFI), weighting, and scoring, which are then incorporated into the SFI calculation. The determination of MSFI is done using principal component analysis (PCA). The results of the MSFI analysis involved spatial mapping using kringing analysis to determine the area distribution of each class. The soil fertility index of the research location ranged from 1.72 to 2.28, with a low-class area of 9,224.19 ha (99.522%) and a very low-class area of 44,266 ha (0.478%). Parameters that influence soil fertility levels include cation exchange capacity, total soil nitrogen, and soil organic carbon, with a cumulative value of 84.8%. Keywords: Kriging interpolation, MSFI, paddy field, soil fertility index, soil mapping.
