Abstract

Irrigation plays an important factor in supporting agricultural land productivity to improve agricultural production. This is achieved by maintaining a sustainable irrigation system through an effective and efficient irrigation system. One method to asses is by using the Irrigation System Performance Index (IKSI). This study designs an information system for IKSI in the main network system. The assessment of IKSI follows PERMEN PU NO.32/2007, with parameters such as physical infrastructure assessment, crop productivity, supporting facilities, personnel organization, documentation, and P3A. The purpose of this system is to determine the operation and maintenance (O&M) strategies and non-physical management strategies. The Main Network SIG IKSI design includes functionalities such as (i) a data folder system, (ii) an imaging system, (iii) GIS, and (iv) an evaluator of physical and non physical irrigation systems. The results of the program in the Antirogo irrigation area show an IKSI the main network value for physical infrastructure of 85,0% and non physical strategies (crop productivity, supporting facilities, personnel organization, documentation, and P3A) of 70,0% until 80,0%. The results shows that the physical infrastructure needs to be carried out regularly and non-physical strategies need to be maintained and improved. Keywords: Association of Farmer Water Users, Geographic Information System, Irrigation System Performance Index, Irrigation, PAKSI.

Abstract

The development of information technology is very rapid accompanied by the advancement of technology-based information systems. Technology makes a significant contribution by providing various conveniences for companies or organizations. One of the fields that is highly affected is Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Although e-commerce has been widely used by MSMEs to increase sales and profitability, there are still challenges in measuring the effectiveness of accounting information systems implemented through e-commerce. This study aims to find out how effective the accounting information system is for MSME actors who use e-commerce. The main focus is to measure the impact of the use of e-commerce on the accuracy of sales information (IP) and profitability (PT) on MSMEs. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach. The independent variables studied were the accuracy of sales information (IP) and profitability (PT), while the dependent variable was the use of e-commerce (PE). Data was collected through a survey method from MSMEs using e-commerce in Jakarta, with a random sampling technique based on area (Cluster Random Sampling). The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire with a Likert scale was used to measure user perception related to the variables studied. The results of the study show that the use of e-commerce significantly improves the accuracy of sales and inventory information systems in MSMEs. Statistical analysis shows that the independent variables of sales information accuracy (IP) and profitability (PT) have a significant effect on the dependent variables of e-commerce use (PE). The description of the characteristics of the respondents showed that the majority of respondents were MSME owners or managers with more than five years of experience in using e-commerce, and had an education level at the S1 level. The use of e-commerce has a positive and significant effect on the accuracy of the sales and inventory information system for MSMEs in Jakarta. E-commerce has proven to be an effective tool to increase the efficiency and profitability of MSMEs.

Abstract

The purpose of this research paper is to determine the dominant criteria of Information System (IS) success specific to handcraft SMEs in Yogyakarta and to establish relationship among those criteria using interpretive structural modeling (ISM). A small portion of those SMEs have started using information system. However, they face several barriers to successfully implement the information system. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the success of information system implementation. But, no study has been done regarding the measurement IS success specific to handcraft SMEs in Yogyakarta. This research involved interview-based surveys and ISM approach to determine the dominant criteria of IS success of SMEs in Yogyakarta context. In total, 16 SMEs were involved as research objects in this research. In this research, four cluster of SME have been identified and the modified IS Success model for each cluster was developed accordingly.  The modified model for each cluster has 14, 20, 16 and 30 criteria respectively. Through ISM, a relationship model among the criteria for each model was also obtained. It was concluded that “ease of use”, “ease of learning”, and “data accuracy” are significant criteria of IS Success model in SMEs in Yogyakarta. These criteria are considered as the dominant criteria to implement information system successfully. In addition, the desired results of successful implementation is represented by “improved outcomes”.
