Abstract

This study aims to discuss the role of media relations and information disclosure in building a positive image of the South Tangerang Police. In the digital age, police public relations are not only required to convey information, but also to manage public perception through communication strategies that are transparent, participatory, and adaptive to technology. Using a qualitative approach based on a literature review, this study analyzes the communication strategies of the South Tangerang Police Public Relations Department through the use of social media and partnerships with local media. The results show that the success of building a positive image of the police is determined by a combination of information transparency, the use of digital technology, the strengthening of media relations, and the strategic management of negative issues. However, challenges such as disinformation, trust deficits, and resource constraints remain obstacles that must be anticipated. Therefore, communication innovation, digital literacy, and continuous evaluation are important factors in strengthening the legitimacy and public trust in police institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which Buddhist religious education contributes to strengthening the moral and ethical character of students at the Institute of Business, Information Technology, and Management. Buddhist religious education is viewed as an essential medium for shaping character based on the values of honesty, responsibility, discipline, and empathy. This research employed a pre-test and post-test design. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS, involving validity and reliability tests, normality and homogeneity tests, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and a Paired Sample t-Test. The mean score increased from 19.06 (pre-test) to 41.60 (post-test), indicating an improvement in students’ moral and ethical behaviour after participating in Buddhist religious education. The Paired Sample t-Test results show a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 ( 0.05), demonstrating a significant difference between pre- and post-learning outcomes. The correlation coefficient (R = 0.944) and the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.890) indicate a very strong relationship, in which 89% of the improvement in students’ moral and ethical development is explained by Buddhist religious education. Thus, Buddhist religious education has been proven to exert a positive and significant influence in shaping morally grounded and ethically responsible student character, thereby supporting the creation of a harmonious and integrity-driven campus environment.

Abstract

The rapid escalation in the sophistication of network attacks has exposed the limitations of traditional Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). While machine learning has shown great promise in enhancing IDS performance, its success often hinges on the effectiveness of feature selection. Standard feature selection techniques, however, struggle in cybersecurity applications due to the highly imbalanced nature of network traffic datasets. In such settings, minority attack classes, though critical, are often overshadowed by majority classes, leading to reduced detection of rare intrusions. To address this challenge, we propose a hybrid feature selection framework that integrates Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Mutual Information (MI) with a novel class-frequency weighting mechanism. This weighting scheme adjusts the relevance score of each feature according to the distribution of classes, ensuring that features associated with rare attacks are more strongly emphasized during the selection process. We evaluate our method on the UNSW-NB15 dataset using a Support Vector Machine classifier. The results show that our approach achieves substantial gains in recall for underrepresented classes while simultaneously reducing feature dimensionality and maintaining efficiency. By improving the visibility of features tied to minority attacks, the proposed framework provides a more balanced and reliable solution for modern IDS. This contribution advances the detection of rare but impactful threats and highlights a scalable pathway for building more resilient cybersecurity defenses.

Abstract

This study examined the implementation and outcomes of the Revitalized Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan (KASIMBAYANAN) program of the Philippine National Police in Naga City. Specifically, it assessed the level of program implementation, identified strategies and practices employed, determined the effectiveness of police–church–community collaboration in crime prevention and crime solution, examined challenges and barriers encountered, tested the level of agreement between implementation and collaborative effectiveness, and proposed policy and practice improvements. The study adopted a descriptive–correlational research design utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected from 488 respondents composed of Philippine National Police personnel, barangay officials, and representatives of the religious sector through structured questionnaires, documentary analysis, and unstructured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency count and percentage, weighted mean, ranking, and Kendall’s Coefficient of Concordance. Findings revealed that the Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN program was very much implemented in terms of community organizing, community empowerment and mobilization, and community information and education. Strategies and practices effectively strengthened partnerships among the police, church, and community, while collaborative efforts in crime prevention and crime solution were rated as very effective. However, challenges related to time constraints, financial sustainability, and mobility were identified. Results further indicated no significant agreement between the level of program implementation and the perceived effectiveness of collaboration, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Policy and practice recommendations are proposed to enhance program sustainability.

Abstract

Creative industries and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in economic growth, innovation, and cultural development, yet they face persistent challenges related to classification, financing, regulation, and market competition. Recent studies highlight that information technology (IT) has become a key enabler for enhancing creative capacity, operational efficiency, and competitiveness among creative SMEs. This paper examines the interconnected relationships between creative industry SMEs, IT usage, government policy, and innovation performance. Drawing on prior literature, it argues that IT adoption supports innovation, collaboration, customer engagement, and business sustainability. The adoption is through digital platforms, e-commerce, and creative technologies. However, effective IT utilization depends on supportive policy frameworks, access to skills, and adequate digital infrastructure. By synthesizing evidence on technological, institutional, and organizational factors, this study emphasizes the importance of integrated strategies that align IT development with government support to foster sustainable growth in creative industry SMEs.

Abstract

The adoption of accounting information systems in higher education is critical for improving efficiency, transparency, and accountability, particularly in institutions transitioning to autonomous entities. This study investigates the determinants of behavioral intention and use behavior in the adoption of the accurate accounting information system, integrating the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology with perceived risk variables. Data were collected from business unit staff using a structured survey, with 220 responses analyzed via Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and low perceived risks positively affect behavioral intention, while experience and voluntariness moderate several relationships. Behavioral intention significantly predicts actual system use. These findings highlight that ease of use, organizational support, social encouragement, and risk perceptions are key drivers of accounting information system adoption. Practically, managers should enhance training, strengthen technical and organizational support, and implement communication strategies to reduce perceived risks, thereby fostering consistent system use. The study contributes theoretically by extending Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology with financial and temporal risk considerations, offering insights for technology adoption in higher education settings.

Abstract

Rapid advancements in digital financial services have transformed how individuals access, process, and respond to investment information, yet the combined effects of financial literacy, fintech exposure, accounting information, and investor psychology on investment behavior remain insufficiently explained. This study aims to examine how these factors shape investment decisions, with investment interest functioning as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative cross-sectional approach, data were obtained from 300 active investors through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares. The results show that all four determinants significantly and positively influence investment decisions both directly and indirectly through investment interest, with fintech exposure emerging as the strongest predictor. The proposed model accounts for 72% of the variance in investment interest and 78% of the variance in investment decision quality. These findings underscore the importance of integrating financial education, psychological preparedness, and digital literacy within fintech ecosystems to strengthen investor engagement and enhance decision-making quality.

Abstract

Waste management issues in Indonesia, particularly household waste which contributes 38.2% of the total national waste, demand a more systematic approach through waste banks. However, current waste bank operations are still dominated by manual recording, which is susceptible to human error, data loss, and inefficiency in generating periodic reports for the Environmental Office (DLH). This study aims to develop a Web-Based Waste Bank Information System to optimize customer data management, transaction accuracy, and financial report integration. The research methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the Waterfall development model, which includes stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The research population involves waste bank administrators and customers as the primary subjects for operational trials. The results are expected to produce a digital platform capable of enhancing customer balance transparency, minimizing data entry errors, and accelerating administrative reporting processes, thereby supporting more efficient urban environmental governance.
