Abstract

The advancement of information system technology is presently used extensively in many disciplines, including the field of health care or hospitals. This research aims to create an information system to handle hospital data to facilitate the processing patient data that has been declared dead with quality. In this study, it was found that there was no information system in the form of a program or application to handle death data. The management process still relies on Microsoft Excel, considered less efficient. In addition, the development of this information system is assisted by choosing the suitable software development methodology and considering existing needs. This research uses the Agile Development Method with the Scrum framework for software development. This research is qualitative descriptive and uses the observation method in data collection. C# programming language and MySQL database are also used in this system. This research produces an information system to handle death data by the product backlog. It is intended to meet user needs to assist in processing death data more effectively and efficiently and reduce the error rate associated with recording death data manually.

Abstract

The presence in the institution still uses the conventional method of affixing a signature on the attendance sheet. Presences that have been carried out so far are felt to be less effective and efficient because sometimes attendance is filled towards the end of the month, which causes the validity of attendance data to be questioned. Even errors are often found in the recording, which causes the nominal to be inappropriate and must be revised. This research aimed to design an information system using the Quick Response Code to increase the effectiveness of employee attendance and payroll, supported by geolocation, to make it more efficient. The method used in this research was the waterfall method, using the stages of communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. This research produced an information system that could make it easier for employees to attend, speed up determining employee salaries and filing financial disbursements, and increase employee presence and salary validity. The test results showed that 90% said they were satisfied with the performance of the system being built.

Abstract

Academic information systems play an important role in student data management and data-driven decision-making. However, traditional analysis methods such as Decision Tree (DT) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) often suffer from limitations in prediction accuracy and processing efficiency. This research develops an Academic Information System based on Random Leapfrog Band Selection Algorithm (RLBSA) to improve student performance prediction accuracy and academic data processing efficiency. The system adopts Google Firestore (NoSQL) architecture based on cloud computing, which enables large-scale data management with low latency and high scalability. Experimental results show that the RLBSA-based model achieves a prediction accuracy of 94.3%, higher than that of SVM (89.7%) and DT (87.4%). In terms of efficiency, the RLBSA-based system reduces data processing time by 40% compared to traditional methods, making it faster in handling large-scale academic datasets. In addition, scalability testing shows that the system is capable of handling up to 1,500 simultaneous users with an average latency below 250 milliseconds, proving its superiority in cloud-based academic environments. This research contributes to the development of data-driven academic evaluation systems, algorithm optimization in student performance analysis, as well as the application of cloud technology in academic information systems. The implications of this research open up opportunities for further integration with deep learning and reinforcement learning to improve accuracy and efficiency in academic decision making.

Abstract

The adoption of container-based microservices architecture has transformed the way modern information systems are developed and scaled. This study evaluates the performance and scalability improvements gained by implementing Docker and Kubernetes for microservices deployment compared to a traditional monolithic architecture. An experimental approach was conducted using identical system modules tested under workloads ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 concurrent requests. Performance metrics such as throughput, response time, and resource utilization were collected and analyzed. The results show that containerized microservices achieve a 45% increase in throughput and a 28% reduction in average response time, with 18% higher resource efficiency compared to the monolithic system. These findings indicate that container-based microservices significantly enhance scalability, maintainability, and deployment agility in modern information systems. The research provides quantitative evidence supporting the transition from monolithic to microservices architecture and highlights the critical role of container orchestration in enabling dynamic resource management.

Abstract

This research evaluates the Critical Path Method (CPM) and the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) to determine the most efficient scheduling method for the development of an information system at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pakuan. The system aims to consolidate work unit information and assist faculty leaders in decision-making. Both methods identified the same critical path (A-B-C-E-G-H), ensuring focus on activities critical to project completion. The CPM method estimated a project duration of 50 days, while the PERT method estimated 52 days. The two-day difference reflects CPM’s deterministic and optimistic approach, making it suitable for projects with predictable timelines. PERT, with its probabilistic calculations, incorporates activity duration variations and risks, providing more conservative estimates for projects with higher uncertainty. Due to its shorter duration and potential cost savings, the CPM method is recommended for the Faculty's information system development project. This research emphasizes the importance of selecting a scheduling method aligned with project complexity and uncertainty.

Abstract

Food distribution and the food supply chain are major issues in achieving food security in Indonesia. Geographical disparities, poor transportation systems, and social differences in Indonesia cause high complexity challenges in implementing a perfect distribution system that suits Indonesia's characteristics. The objective of this study is to build an application for a food distribution using a Geographic Information System (GIS) that can be implemented in Indonesia. The research method is the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) approach with a Prototyping Model. The data collected consisted of spatial data in the form of Indonesian maps with the provinces as the mapping unit, and each province has a capital city that acts as a center point for food distribution. Attribute data consisted of province’s profiles, food productivity for each commodity, food supply, food sources and food exports. GIS can visualize all data layers into maps that are easier to analyze. Indonesia consists of 38 provinces spread across many islands, and each has its specific geographic profiles and transportation problems. Building a food distribution application is part of developing a food distribution system that produces a system prototype. The prototyping approach is used to evaluate the results of the GIS design by analyzing the features of food distribution in Indonesia. The result of this study is an application that can be implemented into a food distribution system that can create stable food security in Indonesia for all provinces.
