Abstract

Inpatient medical record review is a major activity in ensuring the quality, completeness, and consistency of hospital healthcare documentation. Besides ensuring compliance with documentation standards, the review process also ensures that clinical services are accurately recorded for reference in future medical, legal, and administrative matters. This study aims to design a web-based information system that will facilitate structured, efficient, and integrated review workflows between medical record officers and other related units. The development of the system uses the Agile method which prioritizes flexibility and fast adaptation to user feedback so that improvements can be made iteratively. The prototype created can manage data input on reviews, generate summary results as well as reduce human errors usually found in manual entries. The hospital currently uses Google Spreadsheets and Google Forms which are tools with too many columns and prone to errors hence making tracking time and data inefficient. Usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) obtained an average score of 68.13 which is categorized as “acceptable” usability indicating that the system is easy to use and feasible for real implementation. This system is then a basic solution for workflow simplification, validation accuracy improvement, and increasing documentation reliability of medical records in hospital environments.

Abstract

Student aspirations play an important role as a means of two-way communication to improve the quality of academic and non-academic services in higher education. However, manual aspiration submission systems often result in delays in follow-up and a lack of documentation. This study aims to design and implement a web-based student aspiration processing information system integrated with sentiment analysis. The development method used is Waterfall, with stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The implementation was carried out using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The main features of the system include registration, login, feedback form, feedback list, admin replies, and lexicon-based sentiment analysis. Testing using Black Box Testing showed that all functions ran according to user requirements (100% success rate), with an average system response time of 2.7 seconds and a user satisfaction rate of 92%. This system is capable of classifying aspirations into positive (46%), negative (38%), and neutral (16%) categories, thereby facilitating the evaluation of campus services. This research proves that the system is capable of accelerating the handling of aspirations by up to 40% compared to manual mechanisms and supports decision-making based on sentiment data.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to test whether Governance Accountability Disclosure (GAD) and Digital Business Process Disclosure (DBPD), made available through corporate websites, reinforces the value relevance of financial information. Methodology/approach: This research uses cross-sectional data from 2023 annual reports and website content analysis from 84 companies that have automated and consumer-facing digital service business activities. Quantitative analysis was processed using multiple linear regression. Findings: The findings of this study found that GAD has no influence on the relevance of financial value. In contrast, DBPD has a significant influence on financial value relevance. This result indicates that DBPD information increases value relevance for investors, because the information in it reinforces the importance of financial information more than the information in GAD. The test results by interacting GAD and DBPD with earnings per share show that only GAD has an influence on the value relevance of financial information, although not significant. Practical implications: This research provides strategies to enhance company value that can be achieved by empowering governance systems and strengthening the capacity of digitized businesses, and then disseminating information through digital means. Originality/value: Company websites have economic potential, but extensive analysis is lacking even though companies are increasingly interested in fostering a climate of trust through online disclosure, especially when interacted with the digitization of business process information, transparent corporate governance policies, and financial position. This empirical research makes a unique contribution by adding to the literature on information technology in accounting, which is linked to agency theory and signaling theory

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of five corporate governance characteristics on forward-looking information disclosure (FLID) in non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2021–2023. The characteristics analyzed include the existence of a risk management committee, political connections, directors' educational background, gender diversity, and the frequency of board meetings Methodology/approach: This study employed a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data from annual reports. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis used panel data regression with the help of Eviews13. Findings: The study found that the frequency of board meetings significantly influenced FLID. Conversely, the risk management committee, political connections, directors' educational background, gender diversity, did not influence FLID. Practical implications: This study contributes to the corporate governance literature in Indonesia and recommends strengthening the active role of internal governance in promoting information disclosure. Originality/value: The novelty of this research lies in the simultaneous testing of five characteristics of corporate governance with an emphasis on risk management committees and political connections, two variables that have rarely been studied together, especially in Indonesia

Abstract

Education requires adequate information infrastructure to ensure equitable access to facilities. Cianjur Regency has a wide and diverse distribution of junior high, senior high, and vocational schools, yet public access to accurate location information remains limited. This study develops a web-based Geographic Information System (Web-GIS) for school mapping in Cianjur Regency using the Waterfall development method. The system integrates spatial and attribute data of 412 junior high schools, 73 senior high schools, and 186 vocational high schools, visualized through the Google Maps API. Functional testing shows that all system features operate correctly, enabling users to access school location information efficiently and accurately. The main contribution of this study lies in the integration of multi-level school distribution data into a single interactive Web-GIS platform to support public access and educational infrastructure analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of intellectual capital and information technology on sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) at PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Both variables are considered strategic factors in strengthening the company's competitiveness amid the challenges of digitalization and changes in the energy industry landscape. The method used was a quantitative approach, including multiple linear regression analysis, and data collection via questionnaires distributed to 83 active employees at PT PLN UID Jateng-DIY. The results of the study show that both partially and simultaneously, intellectual capital and information technology have a positive influence on sustainable competitive advantage. This reflects the importance of organizational knowledge management and the application of appropriate technology in supporting sustainable competitive advantage. The limitation of this study lies in the general scope of the respondents, which does not fully represent the specific role of information technology within the work units that directly manage it. Therefore, further studies are recommended to refine the segmentation of respondents, ensuring results that are more representative and in-depth.
