Abstract

The Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phenomenon is one of the important factors affecting climate variability in western Indonesia, particularly in the waters west of Aceh. This study aims to analyze the relationship between negative IOD events and atmospheric water vapor represented by Total Column Water Vapor (TCWV) as well as cloud formation that could potentially affect weather conditions. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method utilizing ECMWF/ERA-5 reanalysis data for TCWV and HIMAWARI-8 EH infrared channel satellite image data. The analysis focused on the daily period of September 25–26, 2022. The results of the study show that on September 25, 2022, relatively high TCWV values correlated with increased convective cloud formation that had the potential to produce light rain in the waters west of Aceh. Meanwhile, on September 26, 2022, TCWV values and cloud formation intensity tended to be lower, so no significant rain potential was identified. These results indicate that the negative IOD phenomenon affects atmospheric water vapor distribution and cloud formation processes in the waters west of Aceh. This study is expected to contribute to the understanding of regional climate dynamics and serve as a basis for efforts to mitigate the risk of extreme weather in the coastal areas of Aceh.

Abstract

This study presents a conceptual analysis of Educational Management Information Systems (EMIS) and their role in optimizing the learning process. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the research synthesizes relevant national and international journal articles, conference proceedings, books, and official documents published within the last ten years. The findings reveal that EMIS plays a strategic role in integrating academic, administrative, infrastructural, and human resource data to support effective, data-driven decision-making. Beyond its administrative functions, EMIS serves as an analytical tool for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning through accurate, timely, and relevant information management. However, its implementation faces several challenges, including technological infrastructure limitations, uneven human resource competencies, budget constraints, and resistance to change. Strategies for overcoming these challenges include phased implementation, intensive user training, policy support, and integration with complementary technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS). This study highlights the importance of conceptual mapping of EMIS models to align development with the evolving needs of the education sector in the digital era.

Abstract

This research applies a quantitative causal–associative design to investigate how Public Sector Accounting Framework knowledge, Public Sector Personnel Capability, and the utilization of accounting information systems relate to the quality of financial reports in the Bandung City Government. Data were gathered primarily through questionnaire distribution, supported by interviews to enrich the analysis. The study involved 124 respondents representing financial management units within the Bandung City Government. Data processing and hypothesis testing were performed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The empirical results show that, individually, Public Sector Accounting Framework knowledge and Public Sector Personnel Capability have a significant influence on financial reporting quality, whereas the accounting information system variable does not exhibit a significant standalone effect. In contrast, the simultaneous analysis confirms that all explanatory variables jointly affect the quality of financial reports. Moreover, the findings provide practical implications for assessing the institutional readiness of the Bandung City Government in anticipating future developments in financial reporting regulations.

Abstract

Complete basic immunization for infants is an important effort in preventing infectious diseases and improving public health. However, certain regions still have subpar vaccination rates, which may be due to parents' ignorance and attitudes. Children who do not receive all recommended vaccinations are more vulnerable to illness and, worse, may die from it. This study was conducted at the Jikohay Community Health Center in the West Obi District to examine the impact IEC on mothers' attitudes and knowledge on the provision of full basic immunizations for newborns. Maternal and child health books (KIA) and a questionnaire approach were used in this qualitative study. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how IEC affects mothers' knowledge and attitudes on giving their babies the recommended basic vaccinations at the Jikohay Health Center in the West Obi District. There were 60 individuals in the population and 40 responders in the sample. Purposive sampling was used for the sample process. The Wilcoxon test was utilized for data analysis. According to the study's findings, 20 respondents had good attitudes, 20 had sufficient attitudes, and 29 had good knowledge, 10 had sufficient knowledge, and 1 had insufficient knowledge after receiving counseling on parental attitudes and knowledge in providing full basic immunizations to infants. At the Jikohay Health Center in the West Obi District, the results of the statistical test with a p-value of 0.000 indicated that IEC had an impact on mothers' attitudes and knowledge toward giving their infants all of the recommended basic vaccinations.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital banking in Indonesia has transformed financial transactions and created an urgent need to evaluate the success of mobile banking systems. This study investigates the success of the Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Mobile information system among Generation Z users by applying the DeLone and McLean model, which includes six key dimensions: system quality, information quality, service quality, system use, user satisfaction, and net benefits. A quantitative approach was employed using an online survey of 96 Generation Z respondents who actively used BSI Mobile for at least three months. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that information quality significantly influences system use, while service quality significantly affects user satisfaction. Furthermore, system use positively impacts both user satisfaction and net benefits, and user satisfaction shows the strongest effect on net benefits. In contrast, system quality has no significant relationship with system use or user satisfaction, and information quality does not demonstrate a significant effect on user satisfaction. These results provide practical implications for Bank Syariah Indonesia to enhance digital service quality and strengthen Generation Z engagement, as well as theoretical contributions by validating the DeLone and McLean model in the context of Islamic mobile banking.

Abstract

Malang City possesses prominent tourism potential that can compete with other regions. Both domestic and international tourists consider Malang City as one of their preferred travel destinations. However, visitors often face challenges in finding routes and information about tourist attractions in the city. Therefore, it is crucial to provide efficient and accessible information for tourists. Kampung Wisata Jodipan (KWJ), a flagship attraction and a symbol of Malang City, has recently experienced stagnation and even a decline in visitor numbers. A proposed solution to address this issue is the development of an informative system to revitalize KWJ. This initiative aims to enhance KWJ's appeal through the development of an information system. Three main deliverables are expected to attract more visitors to KWJ: the Jodipan Tourism Village Route Map, the Jodipan Tourism Village Website, and the Operational Guidebook for the KWJ Website.
