Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This service aims to socialize the catch of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) at the Mereudu fish landing base (PPI), Pidie Jaya Regency using Purse seine fishing gear. Data collection carried out in this research used the field observation method by directly observing activities at the Mereudu Pidie Jaya Fish Landing Base (PPI) and conducting interviews with the parties involved in it. Fishing trips carried out by Pidie Jaya fishermen range from 5 days according to the catch that has been obtained. If the catch has reached the target, the fishermen immediately return even though it has not been 5 days. During the research, the highest number of catches of skipjack tuna was on 27 July 2022 with a catch of 5,000 kg and the lowest catch was on 29 July 2022 with a catch of 1,500 kg.

Abstract

Design or planning is a process of planning and making a new object that is carried out by considering various aspects including beauty, symmetry, and aesthetics as well as various other aspects. The design process can also be referred to as visual problem solving which includes organizing, creating, and evaluating to produce a desired work. An award certificate is a media that contains writing in the form of an official statement and is used as a form of appreciation for someone's achievements or accomplishments. The award certificate is created through a design planning process first, where all ideas are conveyed through the creation of objects in the design. In designing the design of the certificate, the concept of transformation geometry can be applied to obtain changes in position and presentation based on several types of transformations, so that later a design will be produced that is in accordance with needs and desires. The types of transformation geometry used include translation, rotation, reflection, and dilation. This concept of transformation geometry is utilized in designing and determining the design of the charter to be given to BPKP Aceh Representative employees who have achieved.

Abstract

Rainfall and sea surface temperature (SST) are closely linked in the global climate system. Sea surface temperature affects rainfall through water evaporation, which plays an important role in cloud formation and the hydrological cycle. As sea surface temperature increases, water evaporation also increases, increasing the chance of rainfall in certain regions, especially in the tropics. Conversely, in regions with cooler sea surface temperatures, evaporation decreases, resulting in lower rainfall. This internship aims to gain a deeper understanding of sea surface temperature and rainfall in the western waters of Aceh. This activity was carried out in August-November 2024, which took place at the Class I Sultan Iskandar Muda Meteorological Station office in Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar. The method used is descriptive analysis method, which is by collecting SST data and also rainfall. SST data is processed using GrADS until it can visualize the map. While data from rainfall is taken from BMKG data and processed using Excel. The results of the internship show that there are several factors for rainfall besides SST, in each region including latitude, altitude, wind patterns (trade winds and monsoon), land and water distribution, and mountains and high mountains. These factors greatly influence the variation and type of rainfall. Annual rainfall variations are influenced by global atmospheric behavior, tropical cyclones and others. Warm ocean temperatures in April and May increase air humidity which favors the formation of rain. However, the fluctuating rainfall shows that SST is not the only factor affecting rainfall. In June, while the SST remained high, rainfall was drastically reduced. This suggests that other factors, such as latitude, wind patterns and global atmospheric influences, play a significant role in rainfall variations.

Abstract

The changing climate causes rainfall to vary from period to period. This change has an impact on society, especially in agriculture such as crop failure. This study aims to predict rainfall in 2018 and 2019 with the Simple Moving Average (SMA) method and the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) method. Based on 2004-2018 data, the dry season occurs in February-October and the rainy season in November-January. The level of validation of forecasters in 2018 according to each the SMA method and the WMA method were 43.43% and 40.69%, respectively. Both of these methods are low and reasonable or acceptable. Based on the SMA method, the division of the dry season in 2019 is estimated in February-October while the distribution of the rainy season in the same year is in December-January. Based on the WMA Method that the distribution of the dry season is estimated in February-April, June-September and the rainy season in October-January and May.
