Abstract

Improving students' learning outcomes in terms of procedural knowledge in the subject of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) remains a significant challenge in the field of education. This is due to the limitations of traditional teaching methods, which are less effective in promoting active student engagement and are not optimal in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. To address this issue, this study aims to explore the implementation of the Team-Based Learning (TBL) model as an innovative instructional strategy that focuses on teamwork and active participation in the learning process. The TBL model is designed to enhance both conceptual understanding and procedural skills through group discussions, individual and team quizzes, and real-world applications. This study employs a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental group that applies the TBL model and a control group that uses conventional teaching methods. The results indicate that the implementation of TBL significantly improves students' procedural knowledge, encourages active interaction between teachers and students, and receives positive feedback from learners. These findings highlight the great potential of TBL as an effective approach to improving the quality of ICT learning in schools.

Abstract

Digitalization of hospital services is a strategic necessity to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and patient safety. RSUD Arifin Ahmad Hospital in Pekanbaru, as a provincial referral hospital, faces complex inter-unit service processes, making digital transformation imperative. This study addresses a gap in the literature by emphasizing the integration of inter-unit services, which is often overlooked in the transition toward a smart hospital. Employing a qualitative method with a case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that digitalization accelerates service delivery, enhances data accuracy, strengthens coordination, and reduces administrative burdens, although its success is influenced by infrastructure quality, human resource readiness, SIMRS integration, and organizational culture. These findings underscore that digitalization is a fundamental foundation for realizing a modern, patient safety–oriented smart hospital.

Abstract

The increasing use of web applications in various sectors has made security a major concern due to the high risk of attacks targeting the application layer. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the F5 Web Application Firewall (F5 WAF) in mitigating vulnerabilities in the OWASP Juice Shop application. Testing was conducted using 10 attack scenarios including SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR), and Information Disclosure before and after F5 WAF implementation. The test results showed that all tested attack scenarios were successfully mitigated after F5 WAF implementation. These findings indicate that the F5 WAF is able to provide effective protection against various vulnerabilities at the application layer and improve the security of web applications in the test environment used.

Abstract

This study compares sentiment analysis of Traveloka application user reviews using the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm under two scenarios: with Information Gain feature selection and without feature selection. The research data were collected through web scraping from the Google Play Store using the google-play-scraper, resulting in a total of 500 Indonesian-language reviews. Sentiment labeling was conducted using two approaches: manual labeling by a language expert and automatic labeling by the researcher. The collected data then underwent preprocessing stages including data cleaning, tokenizing, case folding, stopword removal, and stemming. In the first scenario, feature selection was applied using the Information Gain method to identify the most influential words for sentiment classification, while in the second scenario a Bag of Words approach without feature selection was employed. Model evaluation was performed using 5-Fold Cross Validation with accuracy, precision, recall, f1-score, and confusion matrix as evaluation metrics, by comparing the model predictions with expert-labeled data. The results show that the Naïve Bayes model with Information Gain feature selection achieved an average accuracy of 87.4%, while the model without feature selection achieved an accuracy of 86.0%. These findings indicate that the application of Information Gain feature selection improves both the performance and efficiency of the sentiment classification model.

Abstract

High public expectations regarding the quality of healthcare services require hospitals to optimize human resource performance and effectively integrate operational systems. This study aims to empirically examine the impact of implementing an Accounting Information System on inpatient revenue. Field observations indicate that the management of financial data that is not ye integrated has the potential to lead to operational inefficiencies and revenue leakage. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with an empirical causal analysis approach. The population in this study consists of employees in the accounting, finance, and functional departments at the Bandung City General Hospital. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, comprising 15 respondents. Primary data was collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression, correlation coefficients, the coefficient of determination (R²), and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of the statistical analysis indicate that the Accounting Information System has a positive and significant effect on inpatient revenue at the Bandung City General Hospital. The Accounting Information System’s ability to present accurate and timely financial data has proven effective in minimizing errors in recording inpatient transactions, thereby directly optimizing revenue for the region or institution. This study recommends a systematic enhancement of operational system capacity to maintain the efficiency of financial services.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires school guidance and counseling services to provide more accessible, structured, and student-centered career support. This study aims to analyze the development of Mobile Cybercounseling (MCO) based on the Career Information Processing (CIP) framework to support career planning among senior high school students in Sidoarjo Regency. An exploratory mixed-method design was employed by combining Focus Group Discussions with students, guidance and counseling teachers, school leaders, and experts, supported by descriptive student response data. The findings reveal that students experienced several career planning challenges, including limited access to accurate career information, insufficient self-understanding, confusion in choosing study programs or career paths, and psychological barriers to face-to-face counseling. Field data showed that 78.6% of students reported limited access to structured career information, 75.0% experienced confusion in career decision-making, and 85.7% expressed interest in mobile-based career counseling services. The integration of the CASVE cycle—Communication, Analysis, Synthesis, Valuing, and Execution—into the MCO platform was perceived as relevant for guiding students through a systematic career decision-making process. Each MCO feature, including the initial career concern questionnaire, self-assessment, career alternatives, option evaluation, and career roadmap, was aligned with the CIP framework. This study concludes that CIP-based Mobile Cybercounseling is a feasible and theoretically grounded model for supporting structured career planning in senior high schools. Further studies are recommended to examine its effectiveness through broader implementation and experimental testing.
