Abstract

This study was motivated by the suboptimal medication adherence among patients with hypertension, which may affect the success of therapy. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a web-based educational application on medication adherence and to assess the differences in adherence levels before and after the intervention among hypertensive patients at Lumbung Community Health Center, Ciamis Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 57 respondents. Data were collected at Lumbung Community Health Center using questionnaires, and web-based educational interventions were provided in three stages with a three-day interval between each session. Medication adherence was measured before and after the educational intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a significant improvement in medication adherence following the web-based educational intervention, with a significance value of p = 0.00001 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate a statistically significant difference in medication adherence levels before and after the web-based educational intervention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze system requirements and design a web-based company profile information system to support the effectiveness of IT governance in a construction services organization. This study occurred due to the lack of a structured and integrated information system, which led to inefficient information delivery and limited accessibility for stakeholders. A qualitative approach was used through observation and interviews to identify system requirements and analyze existing business processes. Business process modeling was performed using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to describe the current (as-is) and proposed (to-be) processes. Next, the system design was developed using Unified Modeling Language (UML), including Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams to provide a structured overview of the system. The database was designed using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) to ensure structured and integrated data management. The system design provides a structured overview to manage and convey company information more efficiently. Data in the system is managed by the administrator and accessed dynamically by users. In addition, this design supports the principles of IT governance by ensuring alignment between business processes and information technology, improving data management, and increasing transparency and control. This study concludes that the designed system can improve the effectiveness of information management and contribute to better IT governance. Further research is recommended to implement and evaluate this system in a real-world environment

Abstract

The outbreak of COVID-19 in December of 2019 and its relentless spread across the globe has led to an upsurge of information on the pandemic, as scholars, health experts and other authorities rush to publish information meant to enlighten the public on this novel virus. Thanks to social media and its various platforms, most of this information is shared online. However, this rapid spread of information has also given rise to panic and trepidation brought about by generally unverified information on social media. This studysought to assess the student's level of social media use in tertiary institutions, its influence on them, and whether they consider social media a credible source of information on COVID-19. An online questionnaire was administered to a sample of 250 students. Collected data were verified and analysed using SPSS software. The study has found that social media plays a significant role in sharing information on COVID-19 among students in tertiary institutions, with WhatsApps being the most widely used platform. However, despite being greatly influential, many students do not view social media as an accurate or credible source of information on the pandemic. Abstract

Social media is a communication tool that can disseminate or spread a culture, including YouTube. It has become a meeting place for various people from different backgrounds. However, YouTube becomes an arena where dominant groups exercise power over other groups. Trans TV company has the capital that can create a habitus that oppresses other groups. Through the ‘Ngobrol Asal' program, Trans TV tries to maintain its position. The program indicates the existence of symbolic violence against people with disabilities. Disability discrimination issues have been in the spotlight throughout history. Through the modernization of communication tools, discrimination of persons with disabilities occurs smoothly. Komeng, the actor, performs a comedy that refers to the symbolic violence against Daus Mini as a person with a disability whose limitations turn into a joke that indirectly impacts the negative perception of people with disabilities. This study uses qualitative research methods. This study uses the perspective of Stuart Hall's Representation Theory to reveal the meaning of the scene and Bourdieu's Theory of Symbolic Violence to explain comedic content, which is an arena for the practice of symbolic violence. The results of this study indicate the existence of symbolic violence in the 'Ngobrol Asal' program. This can be seen in Komeng's jokes, representing Daus Mini as a small child who cannot contribute to society. The limitation of Daus Mini as the actor is interpreted as a disgrace to the family or the surrounding environment. Trans TV as a capital owner, uses YouTube as a battle arena to maintain its position, regardless of the impact on people with disabilities. Abstract

This study aims to map flood risk evacuation routes in Medan City using the Network Analysis method based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Medan City is a flood-prone area due to rapid urbanization, inadequate drainage systems, and land use changes. The data used include the 2024 flood risk map, road network, and evacuation shelter locations. The evacuation route analysis was conducted using ArcGIS 10.8 software with the Network Analyst feature to determine optimal evacuation routes that avoid flood-prone areas and facilitate evacuation to safe locations. The results show ten main evacuation routes covering various districts in Medan City. These routes were designed based on accurate spatial data considering road conditions and flood risk zones. This evacuation route mapping is expected to serve as an important reference for local government and related agencies in planning flood disaster mitigation strategies and enhancing community safety. The GIS and Network Analysis approach proves effective as a planning tool for disaster evacuation by comprehensively considering geographical variables and transportation networks.

Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology (FinTech), particularly information technology–based lending services (peer-to-peer lending), has transformed the financing ecosystem by enabling direct interaction between lenders and borrowers through digital platforms. Despite this development, governance mechanisms that represent and protect the collective interests of funders remain limited within the regulatory framework. This study aims to analyze the legal position, functions, and potential regulatory framework of the General Meeting of Funders as a governance mechanism in information technology–based joint funding services. The research employs a normative juridical approach using statutory, conceptual, and comparative legal analyses. The findings indicate that the absence of a formal collective forum for funders may weaken transparency, accountability, and collective decision-making in digital lending platforms. The proposed concept of a General Meeting of Funders can function as a participatory governance mechanism that facilitates collective supervision, strengthens the accountability of platform operators, and enhances legal protection for funders. This study contributes to the development of regulatory frameworks for digital financial services by proposing a governance model that balances technological innovation with legal certainty and investor protection.

Abstract

Accountability in financial reporting is a cornerstone of governance in religious institutions, where congregational trust is increasingly demonstrated through credible and verifiable financial management rather than spiritual leadership alone. Despite the growing adoption of digital accounting information systems, many parishes still experience delays and inconsistencies in financial reporting. This study examines the effect of financial literacy and the Digital Accounting Information System (DAIS) on financial reporting accountability among parish finance officers in the Catholic Church of the Diocese of Manado. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from parish finance officers and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results show that financial literacy and DAIS simultaneously have a significant effect on financial reporting accountability. However, partially, financial literacy does not show a significant effect, whereas DAIS has a strong, positive, and significant effect. These findings introduce the concept of "Faith in Data," in which DAIS functions as a digital bridge of trust and a balancing mechanism that compensates for variations in individual financial literacy. This study contributes to the accounting literature by demonstrating that in a hierarchical pastoral context, digitalization extends beyond administrative efficiency to become a critical instrument of modern governance that ensures systemic reliability and institutional legitimacy.
