Abstract

The digital transformation that has penetrated the world of accounting has also reached entities that adhere to Sharia principles, thus creating a need to understand how information technology can support efficiency without sacrificing inherent Islamic values. This study was conducted to examine the role of information technology including cloud computing, blockchain, and artificial intelligence in Sharia accounting information systems (AIS), as well as their implications for compliance with the principles of justice, trustworthiness, transparency, and the prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (gharar), and maysir (gambling). The approach used was qualitative descriptive through library research, reviewing books, journal articles, and regulatory documents relevant to Sharia accounting and accounting information systems. The study's findings demonstrate that the use of information technology can automate transaction recording, reduce human error, accelerate the preparation of financial reports, and strengthen the transparency and accountability of Sharia financial institutions. However, its implementation still faces several obstacles, including limited human resources with expertise in accounting and Sharia principles, high technology investment costs, data security threats, heterogeneity in global standards, and the complexity of adapting conventional systems to Sharia principles. This study is expected to enrich the conceptual discourse regarding the development of a sharia accounting information system that is efficient, transparent, and remains based on Islamic values

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of information quality, system quality, and e-service quality on repurchase intention for airline tickets, with customer satisfaction serving as a mediating variable among Traveloka users. This study employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 150 respondents who are Traveloka users in Depok City and have purchased airline tickets at least twice. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that information quality, system quality, and e-service quality have positive and significant direct effects on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, system quality and e-service quality have positive and significant direct effects on repurchase intention. However, information quality does not have a significant direct effect on repurchase intention. The indirect effect analysis reveals that information quality, system quality, and e-service quality positively and significantly influence repurchase intention through customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that online travel agency providers should enhance information quality, system quality, and e-service quality to improve customer satisfaction and increase repurchase intention.

Abstract

A web-based internship monitoring information system was developed to address challenges in managing and monitoring student internship activities in vocational education. This study aims to evaluate the quality of the system using the ISO/IEC 25010 software quality model. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on system development, this research provides a comprehensive software quality evaluation by integrating functional suitability, usability, reliability, and performance efficiency within a single assessment framework. Functional suitability testing involved three expert validators and 55 functional test cases. Usability evaluation was conducted with 45 respondents, consisting of students, supervising teachers, heads of study programs, and industry instructors, using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Reliability testing employed Web Application Performance Testing (WAPT), while performance efficiency was assessed using Google Lighthouse. The results showed that the system achieved a functional suitability score of 100% and a reliability score of 96.57%. Usability evaluation indicated positive user experience across all dimensions, while performance testing demonstrated acceptable performance for web-based applications. Overall, the findings indicate that the system satisfies key ISO/IEC 25010 quality characteristics and can effectively support internship monitoring activities in vocational education environments.

Abstract

Background: Climate change poses significant challenges to agricultural livelihoods in coastal Bangladesh, particularly for marginal farmers who are highly vulnerable to cyclones, salinity intrusion, irregular rainfall, and rising temperatures. This study assessed the effectiveness of climatic information services (CIS) in minimizing agricultural loss and damage among marginal farmers in Srirampur Union of Dumki Upazila, Patuakhali District, Bangladesh. Methods: A mixed-method approach was adopted using both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaire interviews with 100 marginal farmers selected through purposive sampling, while secondary data were obtained from relevant literature and published sources. Findings: The findings reveal that all respondents observed changes in weather patterns, only 12% were aware of climate change, and only 14% were aware of climatic information services. The study further found that 40% of respondents considered CIS inaccessible, while 60% reported that climatic information was unclear and difficult to understand. Only 8% of farmers fully relied on climatic information for farming decisions, and 32% reported changing farming practices based on climatic information. Furthermore, 95% of respondents experienced crop failure or yield losses due to climatic factors, while 53% perceived climatic information services as ineffective in minimizing loss and damage. The study identified major barriers to the effective utilization of CIS, including low awareness, poor digital access, lack of institutional support, inadequate training, and limited confidence in the reliability of climatic information. Conclusion: Based on these findings, the study recommends improving awareness programs, strengthening digital and institutional support systems, enhancing climate education, and developing farmer-friendly climatic information delivery mechanisms. Novelty/Originality of this article: This study provides empirical evidence that, despite widespread exposure to climate-related hazards, the utilization and perceived effectiveness of climatic information services among marginal farmers in Coastal Bangladesh remain low because of limited awareness, poor accessibility, inadequate institutional support, and low digital connectivity. The findings identify critical barriers that should be addressed to improve climate information delivery and strengthen farmers' adaptive capacity and resilience.

Abstract

Background: The digital transformation in healthcare has fundamentally altered how neurologists develop and uphold their professional reputation. Although digital professionalism frameworks exist for general medical practice, approaches tailored to neurology remain underdeveloped. Objective: This narrative literature review aims to synthesize evidence exploring the intersection of clinical authority, digital professionalism, and reputation management in neurology and to develop a structured, neurology-specific conceptual framework. Methods: A narrative literature review was conducted by searching PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar using terms such as "physician reputation," "digital professionalism neurology," and "online physician reviews,". Studies published from 2008 to 2025 were included if they addressed physician reputation, digital professionalism, online reviews, or health communication strategies relevant to neurological practice. A total of 37 sources were identified and synthesized across eight interconnected themes. Results: This review presents the Neurology Reputation Architecture Model, a three-part framework consisting of Core (clinical competence, ethics, trust), Signal (digital presence, health communication, content strategy), and Shield (risk management, professional boundaries, crisis response). The evidence shows that social media activity, online patient reviews, and digital content strategies significantly influence patient choices, referral patterns, and professional reputation. Neurologists face unique challenges in communicating diagnostic uncertainties and complex neurological concepts in digital settings. Significant gaps remain in neurology-specific empirical research, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Conclusion: Effective reputation management in neurology requires blending traditional professionalism with strategic digital engagement. Future research should focus on neurology-specific studies, LMIC contexts, and interdisciplinary methods that combine behavioral science, marketing theory, and sociology of professions.
