Abstract

This study sought the factor associated with own acceptance of HIS for PHC by using the modification of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the Sebengkok PHC, Central Tarakan Subdistrict, Tarakan City, North Borneo, Indonesia. A cross-sectional approach was conducted through a survey on the 37 of PHC’s user. A set of questionnaires which was adopted from the previous research was used to collect the information from the participant. The model was developed by involving job relevance, output quality, result demonstrability, screen design, terminology, facilitating condition, perceived of usefulness, perceived ease of use, intention to use and system use (actual usage) as the construct. According to the hypothesis testing, perceived usefulness predicted by terminology, perceived ease of use is significantly predicted by screen design and terminology, perceived usefulness significantly predicts the intention of use and perceived ease of use, while system use which predicted considerably by the intention of use and facilitating condition. This study may have a contribution to the future improvement of HIS for PHC and guide the next coming research to dig the difference acceptance among the user.

Abstract

The accuracy of the diagnosis code has implications for future patient care planning, provision of health services and patient care costs. Therefore, this study has analyzed the influence of the quality of medical information on the quality of the diagnosis code which includes the accuracy, consistency, completeness and timeliness in coding the diagnosis of inpatients at Dr. Moewardi hospital.This was an observational analytic study with a sample of 250 medical records taken using stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed by chi square test. High quality of medical information has a better diagnosis code quality (73.80%) compared to poorly quality of medical information (36.00%). High quality of medical information has a log odds of 1.54 better in the quality of diagnosis code than poorly quality of medical information (b=1.54; 95% CI=0.81-2.27, p<0.001).

Abstract

Nowadays, the implementation of health informtion system in Indonesia still encounters a number of obstacles e.g. redundant data, activities duplication, data quality, data not in harmony with the necessities, report not submitted on time, unoptimized feedback, low information utilization, and inefficient resources. This research aimed to analyze the indicators of organizational support which were suspected as one of the obstacles of the implementation of Maternal and Child Health Information System in Health Office of Ngawi Regency. The population of this cross sectional research was all village midwives administratively in duty in the areas of Ngawi Regency in 2015. Data was taken from all member of populaton through questionnaire filling, which was then analyzed by using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The result of data analysis suggested that the coefficient value that has been standardized from each indicators were as follows: supervisor support = 0.82, work condition = 0.80, and reard = 0.90. Indicators of organizational supportin implementing Maternal and Child Health Information System at Ngawi Regency Health Office, respectively from the most important are: reward, supervisor support, and work condition.

Abstract

This study employed mixed methods to investigate the preferred sources of health information and later explored the views of community healthcare workers on the enablers, barriers and ways of overcoming barriers to health communication. The study found that majority of the participants preferred their source of CV (cardiovascular) health information from the healthcare workers including the medical doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. On the other hand, the least preferred source of health information was from friends, family members, and community leaders. Some of the identified enablers to community health communication include awareness programme via Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), community-based organisations such as faith-based organisations and healthcare facilities. Others are traditional media and social media. The identified barriers to community-based health communication include lack of knowledge and poverty, language barriers, and other miscellaneous issues including misuse of internet, lack of basic amenities and religious beliefs. The community-based healthcare providers articulated ways to overcome the identified barriers, including enlightenment programmes, using the language of the target audience, funding health awareness programmes, and monitoring of health education interventions. This study concludes that dissemination of health information using numerous channels is essential in ensuring population-wide primary prevention of diseases.

Abstract

The issue of adolescent health is important for national development. Adolescents need a place that can provide facilities in the form of correct information and life skills improvement programs. So as to deal with various health problems of adolescent. Government efforts to overcome these problems through the establishment of the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK-R) that can be done in schools. PIK-R in schools that have been formed can be assessed its role to adolescent health problems. The purpose of this research is to know the role of PIK-R Wijaya Kusuma in overcoming the health problem of adolescent among non-members of PIK-R. The research used qualitative design with case study approach. The data were collected by focus group discussion (FGD) technique on 10 non PIK-R member students. The results of the study reported that PIK-R Wijaya Kusuma has an important role as health information source for non PIK-R member students in facing adolescent health problems. Besides, teachers and NGOs. Awareness of non-members of PIK-R Wijaya Kusuma related to adolescent's vulnerability to high adolescent health problems, peers and family plays an important role in adolescent health behavior.

Abstract

Ranking is the central problem for information retrieval (IR), and employing machine learning techniques to learn the ranking function is viewed as a promising approach to IR. In information retrieval, the users’ queries often vary a lot from one to another. In this paper we take into account the diversity of query type by clustering the queries. Instead of deriving a single function, this system attempt to develop several ranking functions based on the resulting query clusters in the sense that different queries of the same cluster should have similar characteristics in terms of ranking. Before the queries are clustered, query features are generated based on the average scores of its associated retrieved documents.  So, for each query cluster, there will be its associated ranking model. To rank the documents for a new query, the system first find the most suitable cluster for that query and produce the scoring results depend on that cluster. Abstract

Transformation technology brings importance consequence to the management system improvement and expansion. In this case exploiting of Information Technology (IT) is hardly required to manage because of it affect to efficiency and effectiveness of the system. The purpose of this paper is to design Integrated Academic Management Information System (IAMIS) with concept of Human Computer Interaction (HCI). The method which be applied is qualitative method by using inductive analysis approach by ignoring initial hypothesis of the research, but to find patterns, forms and themes to expose data systematically. The final result is HCI applied in IAMIS system has been applied, so that found usability and functional system, effective and efficient of AIMIS system are fully be able to carry out well. Furthermore, the analysis results show using IAMIS system affected the staff productivity increasing by 12%, it also means affected in improvement of information services to the academic community. Abstract

In Bayesian network structure learning for incomplete data set, a common problem is too many attributes causing low efficiency and high computation complexity. In this paper, an algorithm of attribute reduction based on rough set is introduced. Abstract

Conventionally, information quality or IQ used in most researches and also in practice as dimensions of characteristics which inherent in valuable information. IQ is characteristic measures based on information production processes. As a result, it may not be a valuable for its users and even for enterprise value. Our approach is to define a new information characteristic based on process of information consumption or usage, called IU as complement to IQ. The characteristics in IU consists of two dimensions ie: (i) conformity on repackaging and (ii) originality on exchange information for users. Parameters for this dimensions acquired using features extraction from IU process in each layer of enterprise management. The paper also describes how to apply the new characteristics practically to provide a higher information values for enterprise.

Abstract

Indonesia is geographically located in the disaster vulnerable area and frequently hit by various disasters such as earthquake, flood, etc. So that Indonesian people aware that the disaster information system is very important. Thus, the development of information and communication technology application is needed for disaster management. For this purpose, this paper proposes on the development of online disaster information system based on location based service (LBS) technology by using short message service (SMS) gateway and global positioning system (GPS). Then,the web-based prototype of online disaster information system is designed and developed as the media to provide information of location and situation of the disaster area. Furthermore, a user interface is also designed and developed to transmit input data as the location information using manual SMS and automatically using smartphone based on SMS/GPS. The research method used in this research is a spiral method that begins with conceptual design, prototype development, application test, and evaluation. The results of this research are the web-based information system and the implemented user interface application (we called ASIKonLBS) for Android based smartphone. The online mapping of input data from smartphone to the web-based system has been tested. It shows that the disaster location information can be mapped to Google Maps timely and accurately that can be accessed using the Internet connection. The evaluation to mapping delay time shows that it is lower than the refresh time of the web-based system. Therefore, the proposed online system can be categorized as a real-time system.
