Programme of study Diploma in Information Technology (DDT) provides education and training in the field of computing with specific emphasis on the areas of Information Technology. In order to ensure technology development in line with the needs of industry, Department of Polytechnic Education (JPP) have checked the curriculum Diploma of Information Technology (Digital Technology). Curriculum Diploma of Information Technology (Digital Technology) has set a 40% as a pass score for Discrete Mathematics course (DBM2033) in the assessment of coursework and final examination. However, students who take courses in Discrete Mathematics (DBM2033) is weak in terms of calculation and this resulted in their results less impressive in this course. This continuity, a Bengkel Gempur “A” for the Diploma of Information Technology (Digital Technology) was implemented. This research in the form of surveys and applying data obtained from the questionnaire. The samples consist of 54 semester two students who take courses in Discrete Mathematics (DBM2033) for session June 2017. Pilot study of reliability value α = 0.930. The findings of this study show the level of students ' perception of Bengkel Gempur “A” are at a high level and students have a positive perception after following the workshop. However, the findings show there is no difference in perception among the students based on the demographics of the respondents, i.e. gender, race, age, education status and cumulative grade points average (CGPA). Students ' perception on the Bengkel Gempur “A” has changed since joining the program. This has proved through score mean before the programme was 2.28 and mean score after participating in the programme was 2.96 which increased by 0.68. This study demonstrated that the implementation of Bengkel Gempur “A” has managed to increase the level of student achievement onfinal examination sessions June 2017.

This research focuses on the changing of image on Islam in Japan and the efforts of Japan’s civil society to eradicate Islam’s negative image created by Japan’s mass media. In preparation for the coming 2020 Olympic Games, the government, the local NGO, and even individual are taking initiatives to create a Muslim-friendly atmosphere. We try to look into their efforts to disseminate information, as well as to counter demagogues about Islam and Muslim. We have conducted in-depth interviews with 10 Muslims residing in Japan added with 2 respondents taken from book, and compared their stories with Japanese articles, books, and academic journals. Our conclusion is that despite the success in making Japanese society more amicable to foreign Muslims, the human relations problems within the Muslim community must take prioritize to improve the response of Japanese society.[Tulisan ini fokus pada perubahan citra Islam di Jepang dan usaha lembaga swadaya masyarakat (NGO) untuk mengurangi citra negatif Islam yang dibentuk oleh media massa Jepang. Menjelang pekan olahraga Olimpiade 2020, pemerintah, NGO lokal dan sebagian individu mengambil inisiatif menciptakan suasana yang ramah bagi muslim. Kami mengamati usaha mereka dalam merespon informasi yang menyudutkan agama Islam dan pemeluknya. Kami melakukan wawancara mendalam dengan 10 penduduk muslim di Jepang serta 2 informan literer. Kemudian kami membandingkan cerita mereka dengan berita, jurnal dan buku yang terbit di Jepang yang terkait dengan Islam. Meskipun mereka cukup berhasil meyakinkan masyarakat Jepang, tetapi persoalan hubungan antar sesama kelompok muslim perlu menjadi prioritas dalam rangka meningkatkan respon positif masyarakat Jepang.]

Nowadays web has expanded rapidly. It has no longer present static information, butit developed into dinamically information provider which provide a new information in a fastway using what we called web based application. Using this application, web can providesusers to the information that they need. In it’s expansion, web can hold so much informationto maintain, this condition can make the information retrieval effort become a problem. Thispaper will analyze the use of optimized query for retrieving information from a databaseusing web based application. TUJUAN PENELITIAN ialah mengukur nilai ekonomis biaya investasi teknologi informasi, baik biaya langsungmaupun biaya tidak langsung dari aplikasi Industrial Footwear Business Management Solution (IFBMS) yangdiimplementasikan oleh PT. NASA sehingga dapat diketahui manfaat yang diperoleh dari dilakukannya investasiIFBMS.METODE PENELITIAN yang digunakan yaitu dengan studi pustaka terhadap literatur-literatur yangmendukung, penelitian lapangan dengan melakukan wawancara dengan beberapa pihak terkait, serta melaluikuisioner yang dibagikan pada beberapa pihak di PT. NASA.HASIL YANG DICAPAI penulis adalah berupa analisis investasi pada aplikasi IFBMS yang telah diterapkanoleh PT. NASA. Dari hasil analisis dengan menggunakan information economics diperoleh nilai scorecard 53.Hal ini berarti bahwa bahwa investasi TI pada PT. NASA dinilai cukup membantu dan bermanfaat dalammenunjang proses bisnis perusahaan.SIMPULAN yang didapat adalah PT. NASA berada pada kuadran B (strategic) yaitu lini bisnis perusahaanyang kuat dengan dukungan dari teknologi informasi yang kuat sehingga TI pada perusahaan telahberkembang. Traditional cost benefit analysis diperoleh ROI sebesar -5%, masuk dalam kategori zero or less.Dalam tahap value linking, value acceleration, dan value restructuring diperoleh ROI sebesar 45%, yangberarti bahwa tingkat pertumbuhan dari investasi sistem informasi dinilai masih rendah.

Teknologi informasi semakin berkembang dengan cepat. Hal ini merupakantantangan spesial bagi para eksekutif senior yang harus memutuskan apakah akanmelanjutkan investasi di bidang teknologi baru ataukah tidak. Dilain pihak, pengambilankeputusan ini sering sangat sulit untuk menentukan apakah manfaat nyata apabila melakukaninvestasi dibidang teknologi informasi dalam sebuah organisasi. Tulisan inimempertimbangkan pertanyaan ini dalam ruang lingkup industri pariwisata, yang sangattergantung pada penggunaan teknologi informasi dalam kegiatan operasionalnya seharihari.Lebih khusus, penelitian ini menginvestigasi hubungan diantara investasi teknologiinformasi, penggunaan teknologi informasi, kepuasan pengguna komputer, kinerja penggunakomputer dan kinerja hotel.Sebuah survey terhadap 945 EUC (computer end-user) yang bekerja di beberapahotel di Bali, Indonesia telah dilakukan untuk menilai persepsi mereka tentang dampakteknologi informasi pada sebuah organisasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada hubunganyang signifikan diantara kelima variabel yang diinvestigasi. Lebih lanjut, telah diketemukanbahwa level investasi dibidang teknologi informasi dan level kinerja user secara langsungdapat mempengaruhi kinerja hotel, akan tetapi jumlah penggunaan teknologi informasi danlevel kepuasan user dapat mempengaruhi kinerja hotel secara tidak langsung melalui levelkinerja user. Dilain pihak, kepuasan user juga diketemukan memiliki pengaruh yang sangatkecil terhadap kinerja hotel. Level investasi dibidang teknologi informasi memiliki hubunganyang signifikan dengan level kepuasan user, dimana diketemukan pula secara langsungmempengaruhi jumlah penggunaan teknologi informasi. Yang tidak kalah penting adalahinvestasi dibidang teknologi informasi diketemukan memiliki pengaruh secara langsungterhadap penggunaan teknologi informasi dan kinerja user di beberap hotel. Penemuan inimenyarankan bahwa generalisasi di beberapa organisasi yang akan melakukan investigasipengaruh investasi teknologi informasi terhadap kinerja organisasi, dan hal ini tidak dapatdiabaikan.Kata kunci: information technology, organization performance, hospitality industry.

Information Retrieval System is a process of searching for a set of documents relevant with needs of the user. In the teaching and learning activities, Information Retrieval System much needed. For example at library, teachers and students can search for books that can be used as reference material. With the Information Retrieval System can improve search results more relevant book to the needs of the user.Library of STMIK PPKIA Tarakanita Rahmawati domiciled in Tarakan, until now have 4215 ± titles consisting of printed books and research. In this research, using 500 data books and software used to create an IR system that is Sphinx Search. The role of Sphinx Search in a IR system is the process of indexing for data set books and search for data relevant books matching the query entered by user.Methods classification text used in this research are Weight Adjusted K-Nearest Neighbor (WAK-NN). Percentage accuracy of match type classes generated by WAK-NN is 81% on 150 data test with processing time by ± 11 minutes / book. By making use of classification text, it can improve the performance of the effectiveness of the results data books are displayed by Sphinx Search. With produce value of precision 63.6% for 5 different queries. Other than displaying the data books that match the query, in this research can also display a list of books that may be used as reference material / other teachings. The establishment of documents cluster made with method Clustering Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) using the formula Cosine Distance Measure.

The study aimed to evaluate focus and quality of Indonesian e-government website. All 456 websites of districts/cities throughout the country are taken into account. The study revealed that 66.9% of districts/cities had their own website and were in operations, while other were either still embedded into website of province, not found, or inaccessible. In general, the websites focused on promoting linkage between government and business, while efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of frontline services were less prioritized. The quality of the website in general was in medium level, both in terms of the quality of content and the level of ease-of-use. Universitas Pasundan salah satu tempat untuk melaksanakan studi kasus, selanjutnya disebut UNPASberlokasi di Kota Bandung. Pada saat ini sedang upaya merencanakan integrasi dan memaksimalkanpemantauan SDM (Sumber Daya Manusia) yang dimiliki di setiap program studi menjadi suatu unggulankompetensi dalam melaksanakan proses bisnis. Masalah yang dihadapi, secara komprehensip belum terdefinisiadanya prosedur baku tertulis yang mencerminkan link kompetensi SDM antar program studi di LingkunganUNPAS. Pengembangan SISDM (Sistem Informasi SDM) masih berfokus pada masing-masing program studi.Pengelolaan IT (Information Technology) tidak lepas dari pengawasan kendala-kendala yang mungkinmuncul, meliputi: keterlambatan penyajian atau ketidaklengkapan data yang akan diproses, informasi tidak sah,resiko layanan antar unit organisasi, resiko pengawasan, dan keadilan pemenuhan kebutuhan IT belummenyeluruh.Suatu penelitian telah diusulkan model IT Governance untuk SISDM, guna mengendalikanketidaksesuaian antara program yang direncanakan dan pencapaian tujuan aktivitas SDM. Disini ingin melihatkeseimbangan antara pengelolaan sumber daya IT dan pencapaian tujuan organisasi melalui pengawasan SIdan resiko yang terkait dengan IT, untuk stabilisasi keseuaian SISDM dilakukan penyusunan COBIT frameworkpada domain Delivery & Support (DS) untuk dilakukan evaluasi dengan pendekatan CSF (Critical SuccessFactors).Kata kunci: COBIT framework, Delivery & Support, IT Governance, SISDM

This paper presents findings of a research project, which explores the current use ofinformation technology (IT) in the Indonesian construction Industry. The findings are basedon a questionnaire survey taken during December 2002 and April 2003 among 250construction companies registered in the National Construction Industry Development Board(CIDB). The CIDB listed and classified these companies as B group or large company. Atotal of 48 valid replies were received, representing a response rate of 44%. The surveyincludes IT environment and management, use of software, hardware, internet applicationand staff competency, Investment in IT, benefits gained and problems associated with itsimplementation, and an assessment of the exploitation of IT for business strategic purposes.Survey reveals that (1) Level of IT applications among contractors in the industry is relativelylow in their core activity; (2) There is growing gap in managing IT, where high investmentand expenditure on hardware and software on one hand with poor human resourcesdevelopment on other hand; (3) From strategic point of view, Indonesian constructionindustry is still in reactive mode of managing IT, and the industry has a limited understandingof the value and potential of IT. The paper also suggests a need to aggressively push relevantgovernment initiatives that would increase strategic use and adoption of IT. Government andpublic agencies should consider policies, which encourage the use of IT in the constructionindustry thus making this industry sector more competitive.Keywords: IT, construction, Indonesia, management, strategic, application.
