Abstract

PEMANFAATAN KEGIATAN INFORMATION GAP DALAM PENGAJARAN BERBICARA (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di SMK)Abstract The purpose of the research was to test to what extend the applying Information Gap Activities could improve the students’ speaking ability and how students respond about the use of these activities. Classroom action research procedures (plan, act, observe and reflection) were used to study the process and participants outcomes. The participants of this research were the twelfth year students of Drawing Department A of SMK Negeri 1 Padang consisted of 23 students. One of English teachers took part in the research as collaborator to assist the implementation of information gap activities and to observe the outcomes. The research was conducted in two cycles with four meetings for each. Observer played a role in evaluating, suggesting, and revising the program. Data from the second cycle were presented to show the final outcomes and changes. Data were collected through observation checklist, test, and interview. The result of the research indicated that the implementation of information gap activities can better improve the students’ speaking ability. Students’ centered class included pair work and group work also contributed to improve the outcomes. Moreover, students were active to interact with their teacher and other students. The students participated at all activities in the class. The students showed the good responses about the use of information gap activities in teaching speaking. Finally, the classroom action research process itself helped students and teacher reflect on their successes and failures in teaching learning process.Key words: speaking ability, information gap activities AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji sejauh mana penerapan Information Gap Activities dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dan bagaimana siswa menanggapi tentang penggunaan kegiatan ini. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas (plan, act, observasi and refleksi) digunakan untuk mempelajari proses dan hasil peserta. Peserta penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas dua Drawing Department A SMK Negeri 1 Padang yang terdiri dari 23 siswa. Salah satu guru bahasa Inggris ikut serta dalam penelitian ini sebagai kolaborator untuk membantu pelaksanaan kegiatan kesenjangan informasi dan untuk mengamati hasilnya. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan empat pertemuan untuk masing-masing. Pengamat memainkan peran dalam mengevaluasi, menyarankan, dan merevisi program. Data dari siklus kedua dipresentasikan untuk menunjukkan hasil akhir dan perubahan. Data dikumpulkan melalui daftar periksa observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan gap informasi dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Kelas yang berpusat pada siswa termasuk kerja pasangan dan kerja kelompok juga berkontribusi untuk memperbaiki hasil. Selain itu, siswa aktif untuk berinteraksi dengan guru dan siswa lainnya. Para siswa berpartisipasi dalam semua kegiatan di kelas. Para siswa menunjukkan tanggapan yang baik tentang penggunaan informasi kesenjangan kegiatan dalam mengajar berbicara. Akhirnya, proses penelitian tindakan kelas itu sendiri membantu siswa dan guru merenungkan keberhasilan dan kegagalan mereka dalam proses belajar mengajar.Kata Kunci: speaking ability, information gap activities

Abstract

The training in developing information and communication technology-based teaching materials for elementary school teachers in Padang Pariaman Regency is based on an analysis of the needs of teachers regarding the development of information and communication technology-based teaching materials and the level of teacher mastery over the development of teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of training needs for the development of information technology-based teaching materials. This type of research is quantitative using a questionnaire. The method used in this research is quantitative. The population in this study were 350 classroom teachers in Padang Pariaman Regency. Samples were taken as many as 30 people randomly. The research instrument was a questionnaire that was processed using a percentage technique. The results showed that the level of importance of the development of teaching materials was classified as high at 66%. Furthermore, 80% of teachers stated that they really need teaching material development materials, 35% really needed to have the ability to select material sources and as many as 28% of teachers really needed the ability to make teaching materials. Based on the results of the study it can be suggested 1) teachers are given the opportunity to develop teaching materials, 2) the school needs to provide training in the development of teaching materials for teachers. must be factual and concise.Keywords: Needs Analysis, Training, Teaching Materials, Based on Information Technology

Abstract

ABSTRACT For reaching the target for the increase of managerial performance to consider factors that can influence the issue, among others, the participation of the budget. Participation budget can not walk alone in influencing managerial performance, but there are other factors that synergize, including organizational commitment and job relevant information (JRI). Researchs on the factors that influence managerial performance such as participation of the budget, organizational commitment and job relevant information has been carried out by some studies, but most of the empirical evidence is varied and inconsistent, which concluded that there was no direct relationship modest between participation and performance, including in the banking industry where the variable budget participation and managerial performance is the deciding factor thrive whether or not these companies so that from this article, researchers interested in conducting a study entitled "the Effect of participation budget on managerial performance with Job Relevant Information and Organizational commitment as a variable intervening" (survey on banking companies in the city of Jambi). "

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh partisipasi anggaran terhadap kinerja manajerial dengan mediasi job relevant information dan komitmen organisasi. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 54 manajer perbankan di Kota Jambi dan dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi anggaran berpengaruh signifikan terhadap job relevant information dan komitmen organisasi. Job relevant information tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja manajerial sedangkan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja manajerial. Selanjutnya, job relevant information tidak memediasi hubungan partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial sementara komitmen organisasi memediasi hubungan antara partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial. Kata Kunci: Partisipasi anggaran, kinerja manajerial, job relevant information, komitmen organisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia as a viable medium to be used in individual planning services about information on State High Schools in the school zone for the domicile of the new Kebayoran sub-district. The research was conducted at Purnama Middle School in Jakarta. The research used is the ADDIE development model with three stages, (1) analysis, (2) design and (3) development. The instruments used were expert validation questionnaires and user trial questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is formative evaluation techniques. The results of material validation show the category “very feasible” with a percentage of 83.33%. Then the results of media validation show the category “very feasible” with a percentage of 91.11%. The results of user trial conducted on five students showed the category “feasible” in the aspect of the media with a percentage of 81.6%, the category “feasible” in the material aspect with a percentage of 79%, and the category “very feasible” in the aspect media with a percentage of 82%.

Abstract

Indonesia is a disaster-prone area, but it is often found that the response process is slow at the very beginning of a disaster. Furthermore, disasters are often unpredictable. Therefore, simulation of preparedness, mitigation, and disaster management should be conducted continuously and systematically, both in manual and electronic manner by utilizing advance technology in geospatial. The aim of this study to develop a model of geospatial-based information systems in disaster management of reproductive health sub-cluster (SIGAB KESPRO BISA) in Nusa Tenggara Barat. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with several stakeholders. To complete the methodological approach and to obtain the system requirement, a content analysis was done toward in-depth interviews result. The research continued with the development of information system models. The analysis results by in-depth interview indicate the availability of infrastructure and the importance of the system offered. The SIGAB KESPRO BISA model needs to be composed of three main functions, namely preparedness and mitigation systems, logistics distribution, and reproductive health services. The design of the SIGAB KESPRO BISA model has been built to facilitate the process of developing the SIGAB KESPRO BISA application system so that disaster management can be carried out with high effectiveness and efficiency.

Abstract

Indonesia has a rapid development in Information Technology (IT) as well as the public interest to learn it. However, to find qualified employee in IT is difficult, they often lacks proper education in IT background. IT education is not only need quality, but also follow current trends. Some negative opinions always appear in description of online education. First, Indonesian online tutorial customer had always assumed that what is available on the internet is free. Second, it is hard to get customer interest without quality customer expected. Third, the customers who will be interested of online education are university students that lack of fund. Further analysis needed in order to find the root cause of these problems.The root cause analysis used SWOT analysis that employ PEST Factor Analysis, Porter’s 5 Forces Analysis and Concept Testing result..The root cause analysis concludes that the TUTON product as online education is not strong enough to face the market. It needs new research and analysis of marketing mix.The objectives of TUTON based on the root causes are developing competitive products and promoting paid tutorial. Marketing strategies are needed to achieve these objectives. The strategies are explained with 4Ps Marketing Mix and Porter’s Generic Competitive Strategies. TUTON main marketing strategies points are make tutorial with video media (Product), focus on tutorial making (Product), consider a new distribution place (Place, Pricing), the website hosting size will be reduced (Place, Pricing), and use YouTube as promotion media (Promotion) and the differentiation strategy is use video as tutorial media.Reduced website hosting size strategy had been implemented to TUTON. Other strategies implementation will be done in this year from May 2013 to January 2014. If all the marketing strategies implemented are going well within budget and time allocation, TUTON will achieve the objectives.

Abstract

Abstract – Indonesia has total population of 255.500.000 persons in 2015, followed by 430% growing rate of internet user populations for the last five years, and it became the second fastest growing internet user populations in the world. Indonesian Government IT spending also expected to increase and continue to account around 25% of the IT market. This condition could be a potential market for the Information, Communication, and Technology industries. Due to the information confidentiality, the subject of this research would refers to PT. ABC as the subject of research. PT ABC, is one of the state-owned company that fully owned by the Indonesian Government. While according to the gap analysis shown that since fiscal year 2012 to 2015 the company suffered from negative revenue growth. According to the Root Cause Analysis process using Current Reality Tree techniques, the identifiable root cause of the current business issues is started from poor planning of product line portfolio selection.  The tools that would be used for the assessment process for this research is Analytical Hierarchy Process. Fundamentally, the Analytical Hierarchy Process methods works by developing priorities for alternatives and the criteria used to judge the alternatives. Priority assessment using Analytical Hierarchy Process with BOCR control criteria has been conducted to prioritized product portfolio selection, it suggest that the characteristics of managerial in PT ABC would prefer Benefits 52,34%; Costs 26,67%; Opportunities 14,60%; and Risks 6,39% respectively. In accordance to those managerial characteristics, it suggest that the Management in PT ABC should consider to prioritized on Product Line A 49,83%, Product Line B 28,74%, and Product Line C 21,43% respectively. Keywords: Analytical Hierarchy Process, BOCR, Current Reality Tree, ICT Industries, Negative Revenue Growth, Strategic Busines Units, TOWS Analysis.

Abstract

AbstractSeminar Medis is a startup company developing medical event management and information system. The main problem that the Seminar Medis will solve is how a doctor can easily search, register and pay for medical seminars. To date there’s no centralize place for doctors to find the seminars and workshop they need and want. The majority of doctors get information about medical seminars are from social media and group chat. This research begins by discovering problems experienced by doctors and seminar organizers in conducting seminars. Search is done by collecting data from interviews and filling out questionnaires. The next step is to analyze potential market conditions and analyze competition using Porter 's Five Forces. To solve this problem Seminar Medis made MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and tested it whether the product was able to solve the problem for the customer. The minimum product used for the first time is through Instagram social media. The solution to this research is to find how Seminar Medis can grow as startups company. To be able to achieve that Seminar Medis formulate a business model by using Business Model Canvas to run its business strategy and develop its products to support the business model. The next implementation plan is to develop the website as main product to make business model work. Keywords: seminar medis, startup company, doctor, business model.

Abstract

Abstract. PT Pertamina EP, a state-owned enterprise engaged in exploration and production of oil and gas in the upstream sector should optimize wells assets to achieve company’s target. Current wells data management in the company resulting multiple data versions. This situation potentially impact on the operation. In 2013, the Director stated that  as much as 20% of oil drilling undertaken since 2008 have failed, resulting a net loss of USD 300 million. Therefore, it is necessary to implement integrated wells management system. This research uses dispatcher report from 2014-2015 regarding wells data. The research methodology consists of several steps, started from problem finding, root cause analyses, system solution, and system design definition. The data are analyzed using Pareto as the basis for root cause. Furthermore six primary dimension of data quality from DAMABoK, CRT mapping and qualitative interview are used for solving the problem. The proposed system named MAPS assessed based on six data quality dimensions. The result shows that the system meet four out of six data quality dimensions. It requires improvement of the capabilities in the future to integrate the system into company's business processes to to synchronize the data for further decision making process.Keywords:  data quality, integrated management system, MAPS, root cause , wells
