Abstract

AbstractUrban Planning System (Sipetarung) of Malang City is a GIS-based IS (Information System) in the public sector, which is a form of investment program conducted by the government of Malang City. For IT organizations, IS is a means of information and communication which is more efficient and plays an important role to implement IS successfully. Unfortunately, the IT Productivity Paradox is commonly found in the implementation of IT. Therefore, it is required to analyze and evaluate the successful implementation of IS.There are several models that can be used to evaluate the implementation of IS, including DeLone & McLean (D&M) model. However, it is interesting to find out whether the D&M model is comprehensive enough to evaluate GIS in the public sector like Sipetarung, in which models and frameworks for measuring the success of GIS, such as spatial information and geovisualization features in the form of map, are rare to be found. Sipetarung is an example of unique GIS technology, especially in the public sector, in which user involvement is a variable for its success. In this case, user involvement includes the user capability to operate Sipetarung, which is more difficult to use, especially for commoners. There are relevant factors that can contribute to the success of GIS in the public sector such as Sipetarung and have not been included in the D&M model. Therefore, this study developed the success evaluation model of GIS in the public sector such as Sipetarung by adopting the D&M model and considering factors which could potentially lead to success. The success evaluation model consists of 7 variables, 28 indicators and 35 predictors. Those variables were used as research instruments, developed into 153 questions and distributed to 100 respondents. Based on the average results of research variables based on quality, Sipetarung can be improved starting from service quality, system quality, and information quality. There are 17 hypotheses formulated to examine the relationship among dimensions which are the success variables. Out of the 17 hypotheses proposed, 11 hypotheses were accepted, while 6 hypotheses were rejected. In general, the success model can explain the causal relationship between the associated variables quite well; therefore, the success model developed in this study is a valid measure for evaluating the success of Sipetarung.

Abstract

Information technology is necessary today, especially to present information on land planted with horticultural crops in an area. The need to obtain fast, precise, and accurate information with the existence of an internet network via smartphones has proven to be very helpful in presenting information to local governments and buyers of horticultural products in obtaining products that can be traded to the public. Often the difficulties that occur in several agricultural areas, the information available is only in the form of location data tables and the exact location is unknown. The problem is that this information is not yet available in some areas. Therefore this study aims to create a web-based information system by compiling, storing and showing information about existing horticultural plants by taking a case example in Girian District, Bitung City, North Sulawesi Province. Web-based information is created by combining the information using a geographic information system (GIS) that displays descriptive text, tables, and images based on spatial location. The results of this study are expected to be useful for farmers in Girian District and local governments in planning and evaluating horticultural farming more easily. The research was conducted by building a web using the Windows 10 pro operating system platform, ArcGIS 10.8 software, Google Earth, Microsoft Word, and XML as a web server, and WordPress 5.4.1 as a content management system. Websites that have been built are tested for performance with gtmatrix with good results. The website that has been built can provide information related to horticultural crops in Girian District, Bitung City, especially information about Girian District and also the location of horticultural crops in Girian District, Bitung City.

Abstract

Social media platforms have exposed consumers to a large amount of either accurate information or misleading information. The quick spread of information through electronic word-of-mouth on social media networks has made it difficult for consumers to distinguish between marketer-generated content and user-generated content. This study aims to identify the factors that influence consumers when making purchasing decisions and to establish a comprehensive framework for consumers in the digital marketing. The study aimed to investigate how technology acceptance, electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM), and perceived risk affect information adoption by users in social media marketing. The study collected data from 213 social media users in Semarang via an online survey and used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings showed that information trustworthiness and information adoption were intermediaries between information quality, usefulness, perceived risk, argument quality, and information adoption. The study suggests that the quality and usefulness of the information are significant factors that affect the adoption of information. For social media marketers, providing high-quality and balancing useful information can increase consumer chances of adoption, thereby leading to purchase intention. The findings highlight for the marketers to ensure that the information provided is of high quality and relevant to the target audience. Abstract

Faith-based organizations play a pivotal role in society, necessitating robust information management systems for efficient functioning. This study examines the effectiveness of SunPlus, an accounting information system, within the context of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDAC), utilizing the Delone & McLean information system success model. The SDAC is a global faith-based organization overseeing numerous institutions. Data for this study was gathered through a questionnaire distributed among all SunPlus users within the SDAC East Indonesian Union Conference, which yielded responses from 80 participants. The findings highlight the significant impact of information and system quality on user usage and satisfaction, which in turn affect the overall net benefit to the organization. However, the study also reveals that service quality variables do not significantly influence usage and user satisfaction. Consequently, while SunPlus serves as an essential accounting information system, it may require additional enhancements to achieve optimal effectiveness in meeting the organization's needs. The study underscores the importance of continuous evaluation and improvement of information systems in faith-based organizations to ensure they adequately support their complex administrative and operational functions. These findings are crucial for the SDAC and similar organizations striving to enhance their information management systems for better performance and user satisfaction.
