Abstract

Business Process Management (BPM) is a collection of methods, techniques, and tools to optimize organizational performance. In the case of higher education institutions (HEIs), BPM is usually implemented to provide a standard business process. Implementation of Data Governance (DG) is often based on the desire for good Data Quality (DQ), to help an organization carry out its strategies and achieve its objectives. Previous research has proven that DG would improve data quality and safety and trigger a better standard. While data and information are essentially connected, BPM and DG have been addressed separately in the process of obtaining high quality data and information. This study conducts a literature review to investigate the relationship of BPM in the development of DG in HEIs. Articles related to BPM, DG, and DQ are collected from relevant databases. The articles are filtered and perused further to obtain 23 articles that are analyzed and synthesized to answer the research question. Based on these articles, a conceptual model is developed, depicting relationship in the application of BPM and DG. The first relationship identified from previous work is that the successful implementation of BPM influences DG planning and implementation success. Second, a good BPM implementation influences the process of obtaining a good DQ. Finally, implementing a good DG influences the acquirement of a good DQ. This study also found that BPM, DG, and DQ implementation at HEIs was fewer than that at other sectors or case studies, which open up opportunities for further studies.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology that provides advantage apparently has a negative impact on users, namely the possibility of leakage of personal data. Cloud Computing is one example of IT development that provides uploading and downloading storage files in a very simple way. However, there were many cases involving the platform in the case of data leakage. The objective of this research is to identify the regulation and how the cloud computing service providers are responsible for this. Cloud computing is implicitly regulated in the Indonesian law which require registration of reliability certificates to guarantee its security. A law theory presented by Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja, SH, LL.M., who stated that the law is progressive is not in accordance with cloud computing regulations that have not been specifically regulated.

Abstract

AbstractAnything that is excessive can have an addictive effect. The same thing applies to games. Games can have an addictive effect that results in players being addicted. Gamers don't know the age limit. Children and even young children are already playing games using gadgets, as a result of current technological developments. Game addiction can have a negative impact on early childhood. Previous research has shown a negative correlation between game addiction and the learning process. Reviewing this, parents need to be aware of the pattern of children's game play. Previous research has made an application to detect the level of addiction to children's by using one method in the expert system that is backward chaining to identify the symptoms of game addiction. Current research combines expert technology in previous applications with Geographic Information System technology to detect children's gaming addictions and map their distribution in eastern, western and central Indonesia. This study uses a waterfall system design method, which start from identification, problem analysis, design system, implementation system and testing system to produce an application called IGIS-Decandu (Intelligent Geographic Information System for Game Addiction Detection) that can be used to determine the level of distribution of Indonesian children's game addiction. The results of trials for testing the game addiction identification between the IGIS-Decandu system and manual testing obtained a Kappa value of 1.0. Based on these tests, it can be concluded that the IGIS-Decandu system is ready for general use, because the process of identifying game addiction is valid with the value of the agreement between the system and manual testing being 1.00 which means "Very Strong"
