Abstract

2020 is a test year for each country globally. The Covid-19 pandemic is a scourge from various sides/fields of life in society, nation, and state. In Indonesia, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been felt in the health, economy, even social and policy sectors. The pandemic, which started at the end of 2019 until now, still leaves homework for various countries, including Indonesia, to immediately carry out countermeasures effectively and efficiently. The policy that will then be taken sees the condition that is still unstable, then leads to WHO recommendations, namely the application of the new normal, including in Indonesia. The policy New Normal which leads to encouraging the implementation of "normal" social, national, and state life and side by side with Covid-19 while still implementing strict health protocols, will not work optimally if the level of public awareness is not high. People who are not alert and vigilant and lead to apathy about the policies and conditions of Covid-19 will have an even bigger "iceberg" impact. This study aims to disseminate information through a peer education strategy with the help of information technology-based media related to the implementation of the policy New Normal in the response to Covid 19 in Indonesia. This socialization is packed with technological developments and a touch of humanism in society and industrial development 5.0. This research is expected to be a form of the contribution of UPN "Veteran" East Java to the local community, nation, and state. In particular, this is to help make the policy effective New Normal in dealing with the impact of Covid 19 in Indonesia.

Abstract

Forced Distribution Rating System (FDRS) is a performance appraisal system that forces supervisors to distribute employee rating results according to predetermined categories. FDRS aims to distinguish high, average, and low-performing employees so that low-performing employees can be identified. In practice, the supervisor experiences problems in assessing low-performing employees because the supervisor often does not have any data about these employees, so that bias cannot be avoided. By using the Equity Theory and Social Comparison Theory, this study aims to test empirically the role of information accuracy and outcome transparency as control systems in minimizing bias in FDRS. This study used a web-based experimental method with a 2x2 design between subjects with two information accuracy treatments (high and low) and two outcome transparency treatments (high and low). The results showed that high information accuracy affects the supervisor's intentions to avoid bias in FDRS. The results also indicate that the high outcome transparency strengthens the supervisor's intentions to avoid bias in FDRS when the information accuracy is relatively high. The highest tendency for a supervisor to do bias in FDRS is in a condition when there is low information accuracy with a high level of outcome transparency

Abstract

Changing environment and increasing community demands encourage Public Sector Organizations to begin to focus on the community and its services. However, the majority of Public Sector Organizations are considered slow in improving their services. This service sector is considered far behind compared to services in the private sector. Therefore, the fastest way to be able to match or even goes beyond is to implement systems and governance of private sector organizations to the public sector. One of the “tools” for the private sector that has been successfully applied in improving the performance of the public sector in different countries is “Total Quality Management”. Total Quality Management (TQM) is the philosophy that requires behavior change at every level of the organization to achieve competitive advantage by being customer-oriented. This study aims to examine the application of TQM on service quality at the information and complaint service office of the Directorate General of Taxation. The type of research that used in this paper is qualitative data. The result of the study found that quality is the main factor in service organization services. Total Quality Management has been implemented effectively at the information and complaint service office of the Directorate General of Taxation.

Abstract

This community service aims to facilitate the economic sector for religious community organizations, especially towards the PRM Bangunjiwo Barat in the midst of competition from the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This community service is important because the Indonesian people generally lack awareness of the MEA. Empowerment in the economic sector, especially those based on micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is very important when the flow of global capitalism into Indonesia is boundless and unstoppable. This is in line with the transformation of the theory of International Relations (IR) from traditional issues and high politics to issues based on non-traditional and community-based low politics, especially issues of development and human security. Human security issues include health security, food security, economic security, and others. The results of this community service have succeeded in facilitating partners and it is hoped that after the service they can increase their capacity in facing global competition, especially the AEC. Several important agendas were successfully implemented in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, for example video editing workshops, product photos, introduction to e-commerce including helping register products in the Grab-food application, and philanthropic activities
